I cannot express how uncomfortable and concerned I was after seeing one of the surgeons at Conlon…read more I had waited months to finally get an appointment in order to be assessed for laser cataract surgery. After waiting my turn and put in a room for another half hour the doctor finally entered. I was not certain if he was under the influence or not. As he fell asleep, talking to me. Needless to say it raised so many concerns that there was absolutely no way that this doctor was going to perform any kind of surgery on my eyes. I asked him if he was under the influence of drugs, as I have had too many experiences working with addicts. And that's exactly how we appeared to me was under the influence of opiates. Needless to say, I did not have the surgery performed at Conlan and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody else. It was a very disturbing experience and it left me very concerned. Unfortunately, I have lost the name of the doctor and I cannot find a picture of him on their website. So for all I know, he may no longer be working there.

****This is for anyone who has been on the fence about getting LASIK!****…read more All I can say is it is a completely worthwhile experience! I have been wearing glasses since I was ten, so know the struggle of changing prescriptions and having to purchase new glasses and/or contacts every year or two. Now at 23, I can't tell you how exciting it is to be free from that! It was such a pleasant surprise the first morning after surgery when I was going to my post-op and was about to grab my glasses and then thought, "oh wait, I can already see!" My vision was 20/20 the very next day! Kim, the Practice Administrator was always friendly and efficient in our communications. She responds quickly and professionally to any questions and is highly knowledgeable about LASIK. She was also flexible in scheduling, which is amazing considering how busy they are! The CEI team is warm, professional and thorough. Heidi has such a grounding personality and made me feel well-taken care of. She went through all of the pre and post op care really well and was welcome to any questions you may have. Dr. Prete is the optometrist in the office and he is professional and knowledgeable as you run through your testing. The techs are equally as friendly and knowledgeable so everything happens very smoothly! The day of the surgery, Heidi was once again soothing and ran through post-op care, which is really quite easy. It all comes in a nice little bag that makes it easy to keep track of. It included sunglasses to wear following the surgery, lubricating drops, two types of antibiotic drops, and eye shields for the first night. In the OR, Dr. Conlon and his team worked like a well-oiled machine. Honestly, the surgery is almost easier than any eye exam as it's not up to you to make sure not to blink! You also can't really tell what's going on as it just looks like a bunch of lights. It was over so quickly! They even give you stress balls, so you can squeeze those if you're nervous! Overall, I think LASIK is definitely worth it and I would certainly recommend at least getting a free consult from the Conlon Eye Institute and checking it out yourself!

I've been wearing the same glasses for 3 years and still see great with them just wanted some updated frames with new, not scratched lenses but got my new glasses and they were blurry. Turned out the had halved my previous prescription (and didn't mention any of that to me) and when I reached out to them to inform them they had it wrong I was told I'd have to pay for an exam to fix my prescription given it had been over the 3 month guarantee. Keep in mind that I've been wearing the same glasses daily over 3 years and never had a problem so no, my prescription didn't change at any point. In addition, they also charge for kids eye exams which I've never had to pay for previous since these offered free at most optometrist offices (because they are paid by the government to offer them so it's actually just a money grab). I would suggest you go somewhere else as I'm now out $700 in glasses and sunglasses and can't get lenses with the proper prescription unless I pay for another eye exam.

To his reply, he said because I did not have part number he told me to stand aside because it would take too long to look up and helped the person behind me, who had a part number. Prior to that he was upset with helping the customer ahead of me and I took the brunt of his "Bad Day". He also was angry he could not hear me with my mask on. I am high risk, have a person going through Chemo treatment in my house and choose to wear a mask for protection. I understand he may not be having a great day, but he should not be taking it out on the customer. As for the young Gentleman Brayden who assisted me, thank you for your positive and helpful attitude. I understand that not all days are peoples best and cannot always find what we are looking for, but to rudely push someone aside after waiting is extremely unacceptable, and I hoping his motive were out of anger and not for me being a woman. Yes I did not know what I was looking for, but my father lives north and sent me for the part.
