I cannot express how uncomfortable and concerned I was after seeing one of the surgeons at Conlon…read more I had waited months to finally get an appointment in order to be assessed for laser cataract surgery. After waiting my turn and put in a room for another half hour the doctor finally entered. I was not certain if he was under the influence or not. As he fell asleep, talking to me. Needless to say it raised so many concerns that there was absolutely no way that this doctor was going to perform any kind of surgery on my eyes. I asked him if he was under the influence of drugs, as I have had too many experiences working with addicts. And that's exactly how we appeared to me was under the influence of opiates. Needless to say, I did not have the surgery performed at Conlan and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody else. It was a very disturbing experience and it left me very concerned. Unfortunately, I have lost the name of the doctor and I cannot find a picture of him on their website. So for all I know, he may no longer be working there.

****This is for anyone who has been on the fence about getting LASIK!****…read more All I can say is it is a completely worthwhile experience! I have been wearing glasses since I was ten, so know the struggle of changing prescriptions and having to purchase new glasses and/or contacts every year or two. Now at 23, I can't tell you how exciting it is to be free from that! It was such a pleasant surprise the first morning after surgery when I was going to my post-op and was about to grab my glasses and then thought, "oh wait, I can already see!" My vision was 20/20 the very next day! Kim, the Practice Administrator was always friendly and efficient in our communications. She responds quickly and professionally to any questions and is highly knowledgeable about LASIK. She was also flexible in scheduling, which is amazing considering how busy they are! The CEI team is warm, professional and thorough. Heidi has such a grounding personality and made me feel well-taken care of. She went through all of the pre and post op care really well and was welcome to any questions you may have. Dr. Prete is the optometrist in the office and he is professional and knowledgeable as you run through your testing. The techs are equally as friendly and knowledgeable so everything happens very smoothly! The day of the surgery, Heidi was once again soothing and ran through post-op care, which is really quite easy. It all comes in a nice little bag that makes it easy to keep track of. It included sunglasses to wear following the surgery, lubricating drops, two types of antibiotic drops, and eye shields for the first night. In the OR, Dr. Conlon and his team worked like a well-oiled machine. Honestly, the surgery is almost easier than any eye exam as it's not up to you to make sure not to blink! You also can't really tell what's going on as it just looks like a bunch of lights. It was over so quickly! They even give you stress balls, so you can squeeze those if you're nervous! Overall, I think LASIK is definitely worth it and I would certainly recommend at least getting a free consult from the Conlon Eye Institute and checking it out yourself!

Second pair came and I looked at them and seemed good. When I put them on at work they also had tiny scratches. I tried to buff them out myself and got them better, not perfect. You would think that when the first glasses arrived and the arms would not fold...should be a sign. Finally after 9 weeks and new frames chosen success. Now for the second an pair. It is July 22. No sunglasses. Maybe in winter they will be done. Never an apology. Only excuses and blaming others. Run run run if they ask for money. The saga continues. I would rate zero if I could.
