Also, I had to take a break on lash extensions because I've recently been diagnosed with mild blepharitis so it made me even more picky about who I want around my eyes. I was recommended of this place by my sister, shes mentioned good things about them and I was willing to give them a try. When I walked into Angels Dream they immediately greeted me at the front door. I explained to Crystal, the technician, that would be doing my extensions about my condition and she was super understanding! She did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable. She asked me the kind of look I was going for and I just wanted something simple & natural. Crystal was aware that I am not a newbie to lash extensions. Yet she still explained step by step each move she was making around my eyes. After an hour and a half I couldn't believe how flawless she made my lashes look! Goodbye long trips into the city!! Angels Dream is my new go to spot! Overall, such a lovely staff and amazing work. Totally regret not taking a picture of the outcome but I'll update once I come back for a refill.

Some of these reviews are silly. I for one do not care what the inside looks like (I went to…read morenothing but cheap Asian salons my entire life), but I didn't see anything wrong with it, it seemed really nice to me. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted and had my coat taken and was offered something to drink. I noticed how perfect everyone's hair was and felt awful because here I was getting off of work (they got me in 30 minutes prior to calling) with my frizzy messy pink updo. When I had called prior they did ask which level of designer I wanted, I asked for anyone 3 and under ($60 and under). I was given my "designer" Danny. I explained to him that the most important part to all of my mess is my bangs, if my bangs don't come out right Ill be miserable. I showed him pictures of the bangs I've had and would like to stay with. I also showed him what my current "A bob" should look like. Told him that I didn't want more than a half inch cut off and crossed my fingers as he assured me he would do exactly what I wanted. I was then escorted to the shampooing station, where a girl shampooed and conditioned my hair while trying to make awkward talk every 5 minutes. The neck rest to the sink are beyond uncomfortable. I noticed she had a hard time combing my hair (naturally curly/wavy/wtf frizzy) and its a good thing I don't have a sensitive scalp and enjoyed the hair pulling. Back to Danny. Trim, trim, trimming away. He took off exactly how much I wanted. We talked about the product that turned my hair to mush (Soy-Plex hi-lift if anyone is interested) what brands and products I use on my hair, he recommend me a keratin treatment to help my hair that I bought for $20? I believe. On the bangs! The scariest of the scary. He told me to part my bangs how I usually do, then he showed me how much he was about to cut off and asked if that was okay. I agreed and snip snip. I asked for them to be a tiny bit shorter and he exactly did a tiny bit shorter. When they told me Danny was a level 2 "designer" I didn't really have high standards, I just went in with a "I need to do this" attitude. But overall Danny was very thorough, constantly asking questions, highly detailed. I've never met a stylist who did exactly what you asked for instead of what they think they should do. He did an amazing job and I'll definitely keep going back to him.

The day went smoothly and all seven of my bridesmaids, my mom and my mother-in-law were very happy with their hair and make-up. I felt that they really took into consideration my preferences and wedding style. They were friendly and chatty during the whole day making it pleasant to work with them. After finishing my hair, I noticed a few bumpy sections, which I pointed out to Noelle. She promptly sat me back down and worked on it until it was perfect. She was patient and calm the whole time, which is so important when you are aiming for perfection. I think it's important to mention that I was not interested in getting a hair and make-up trial despite so many people encouraging me to do so. Even though Kristin and Noelle expressed their concerns regarding not getting a trial, they respected my decision in the end and still agreed to do my hair/make-up for my wedding. Turns out, it wasn't necessary b/c I absolutely loved my hair and make-up (brides, follow your gut!). Overall, I strongly recommend these ladies for your wedding day or any other event you want to feel beautiful for. Thanks again, Makeup Luxe!

This place was the answer to all my hair and makeup prayers…read more Let me preface with I'm very picky, especially with my hair, because I've always had curly unmanageable hair (until I found this place). I walked in with dry, dull, damaged hair and 7 inches of roots (I was worried that coloring would make things worse). After a few visits over a month I had beautiful color with highlights and the smoothest/healthiest hair I've ever had in my ENTIRE life. I had my color and highlights done by Devon with olaplex to protect my hair 3 weeks before my wedding. I went in the night before my wedding to get my hair blown out and had an additional olaplex treatment. Then the morning after my wedding Primo did my brazilian keratin blowout because I didn't want to worry about frizz and curls on my honeymoon and my hair has never looked or felt so amazing. Jennifer did my hair on my actual wedding day and I looked like a princess...even better. As for makeup, I went through 5 makeup studios for wedding day trials and no one came close to what they did here. I looked glamorous without looking like I had pounds of caked on makeup. I originally had my makeup done by Jennifer during a trial and it was like she was sent to me from heaven. When I came in the night before my wedding for a final trial I had my makeup done by a different girl who's name I can't remember and I feel so bad!! I remember it started with a "V" and she was really pretty. She ended up doing an amazing job and Jennifer suggested bringing her for the morning of the wedding so that things would be more efficient and I would get to sleep in. It all worked out perfectly and I'm never letting any other salon touch my hair ever again. They love what they do here and it shows, and they really know what they're doing.
