We have been going to Kingston Fine Jewelers for many years. We were introduced to KFJ when they…read moredonated a diamond necklace to an Ulster County SPCA fundraiser. Yes: a diamond necklace!! And they continued to give high priced jewelry for subsequent events. The service is spectacular! Our favorite people are Serena and Brandy, the owner. They know every piece of merchandise in the store and can take you directly to what you need or want. They are professional and extremely pleasant. They will give you an honest opinion, even if it means you buy something much less expensive. For example, today I went in to buy a pair of earrings I saw advertised in their beautiful holiday catalog. Brandy advised me that the size was too small and Serena knew just the pair I would like. The earrings were less than half the price of the ones I had originally wanted. The shopping experience at KFJ is always so enjoyable. If you need to return a piece of jewelry, the return policy is excellent. Many smaller stores only give store credit, but not KFJ. If you need a watchband changed or other small jewelry adjustment, KFJ does not charge and is happy to accommodate. They keep track of what one buys so it is easy to complement purchases. I never leave empty handed. My favorite jewelry store!!

Amazing selection. We have been looking for months for my fiancé's wedding band, and picked one out…read moreat KFJ in half an hour! Amanda was absolutely fabulous- so helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Glad to have found such a terrific jeweler!

I was concerned with energy issues and rising prices for fuel so I stopped by Harbor Freight to…read moreinvestigate portable power stations. I was fortunate to have met with Lexi, who was not only very knowledgeable about what I would need, but took the time to explain the various systems available. I purchased solar panels from Lexi but since Harbor Freight in Kingston did not have the Power Station I needed, she was good enough to contact a sister store in Poughkeepsie and have one reserved for me. It is not often that I see such quality customer service, these days. I am glad that Lexi was available and demonstrated her superlative knowledge, care and consideration. Kudos! I will be returning.

I'm generally not a happy customer when it comes to walking through a tool place. But when I had…read moresome free time in Kingston last week and found myself in your parking lot watching trains, I ended up walking in. Although I was unable to purchase any items during my once-over, I found this place a little bit barren. It's got the tools alright, but very few employees were hovering around the floor, looking to help customers. Even though I had no ideas for stuff to look at, getting out to look at something I hadn't looked at before since its change in 2021-2022 (forgotten when this was converted from an Office Depot), wasn't found to be too frightening. Value for quantity seemed fair, though some things are higher than others. However, where this chain seems to drop is in value for quality. Even though they have some of the better names, I remember purchasing stuff in 2020 at your Poughkeepsie location that didn't last 2 weeks - but that's a whole other story in itself. Walking into this location is like a maze. They have you enter through a turnstile once you get through the double sets of doors, and something I hadn't seen at most Harbor Freights in the past (to a point where not even Poughkeepsie's had this layout). It's a good thing this turnstile was still functional and didn't break. However, maybe in the future, I'll take a further look when money becomes available.
