Guysss I pretty much never leave bad reviews :( But every low starred review on this page is accurate. And I suspect many of the 5 stars are solicited. Earlier this year I came in, bought a facial as a gift for a friend. Then I said hey you know, I'll take 3 for myself as well- wanted to support a new local business. Even before I knew what the services were like.. it was a beautiful ambiance and wanted a treat! This was 6 months ago. I have not returned since my first facial, because the experience was so uncomfortable. I don't want to be hustled and sold "add ons" WHILE my face is being massaged. It was question after question after question during the treatment... to which I gently and politely declined add ons. About 6 times before I began pleading with the esthetician..."could we maybe just stick to a good old fashioned classic facial this time? I bought a package, I have all the time in the world to try these other bells & whistles you are talking about. I would REALLY just like a plain regular facial today" She kept on. It felt forceful by that point. My state completely changed from relaxation & zen to tense, and explanatory. (All of this while I'm in the chair with product on my face) The more she insisted why I needed this that and the third... the more I felt I needed to make a case to her about why I would really just prefer not to have any add ons and thank you so much. Soo not relaxing, I mean just..absolutely awkward. I don't need to explain why I don't want something! And really... if your "basic facial" is so lacking in confidence , why are you selling them? Sell customers what you really want to sell them up front- a $$150 facial that is all inclusive. Translation: Customers can always sense when you're not genuinely engaged with pleasing/understanding them. Or are just trying to make a buck. Positives: the basic facial wasn't bad. It was nice- even WITHOUT LED, extra masks, extractions etc. The esthetician was probably a sweet gal. Its not hard to tell that It's their corporate business model that forces these girls to use these tactless and pushy approaches in treating their clients. Which is unfortunate. Thirdly, I don't want bad yelp karma. Just thought I would add my voice to the chorus of people who had the same experience. And again... I would look prudently at the supposed 5 star reviews for this place. HOPEFULLY the company will make some adjustments, as it seemed to be a cool concept, poorly executed. read more

I had reviews before booking a facial at this location, but I always want to give a place a chance with my own opinion and decided to ignore the negative comments. Fact: they up charge for everything, and I declined it all. The esthetician seemed shocked when I declined any extras. As soon as my facial finished, she started in with a sales pitch and had an entire basket ready of things she felt I should purchase. The esthetician was nice and conversational , but the facial wasn't very good, including facing steam up my nose and I felt like I could not breathe and was gasping. The facial overall is mediocre. I didn't feel relaxed, I felt tense, and I feel like this place is all about the sale, not about the customer experience. Too bad, I went in hoping to find a great place I could return. Myself and 2 other girlfriends had a girls spa day today and all of us enjoyed our facials so much that we are planning to come back again. My esthetician was Paris and she was extremely thorough with all the techniques she applied during my facial. She didn't pressure me into buying any products and allowed me to just relax and enjoy the experience. She did made recommendations prior to applying any services on me - I did added extractions and lip scrub - FYI this is extra! And I appreciated her transparency. It was my first time at Face Haus today and it was amazing! I got a facial I believe was called Spotless Reputation by Paaris. I usually go to a different facial place but thought I might as well give this place a try since it is 50% less than my usual spot. It is different from a normal facial place since it is out in the open, but the actually service was top notch.I though Paaris was so great and really worked wonders for my skin. She also recommend some products and let me know how to use them so I grab them and am excited to see some results. I highly recommend this place if you just need a skin pick me up or to make it your usual facial place. read more

I am really torn on this place. I love the space, everyone was nice and the facial was pretty good. What turned me off was the sales pitch that started the second I sat in the chair. I came in for a $65 facial and ended up getting the $145 facial because I "really needed it". Ok, fine, it had been awhile so I understand. Then, two minutes into the facial she is already trying to sell me a package...seriously? "My boss is raising the prices so you should buy a package now". This bummed me out/really irritated me. Made an appointment for a facial. When I arrived I was told that they decided to change it to a different time. That was my only day off and I wasted my time driving up there. If we are late or cancel our appointment within a time period we are charged 25.00 but if they decide to cancel your appointment they don't do anything for you. They had like at least 8 beds available. The place was empty, I was 15 minutes early for my appointment and only one person doing facials. So they told me I could come back in 3 hours. Face Haus is great for a relaxing quick spa trip. In and out in less than an hour for less than $80 (with tip). They do try to sell you products but you can always say no and the products they do sell are really good brands. However I've never been upselled on treatment add ons which I respect. I highly recommend this place - it's brand new so the amenities are really nice, no private rooms but I was the only one in there (for a 7pm appt) so it was very quiet. For the price point here ($65 for the Haus Special which is their base treatment), I have to say I was really impressed. My skin looked AMAZING the next morning and I've already booked another appointment before a wedding that I'm going to. Taylor was my esthee and she was great! If I had to give any feedback I would say it would have been nice to know what exactly was going on my face - she explained a few things but not all. In the end though, it's just nice to sit there and let them do their thing!! They recommended a few add-ons and a product once I was done that I politely declined. Should probably update that they don't accept walk-ins before people waste their gas. Would give zero stars if I could because there were technicians available and no customers. Dude! I am an idiot. I took my niece here and we had a nice facial experience! They were so kind and it was so clean and the aestheticians were very good. I laid back in my chair and the nice lady was like... for your skin I recommend: da da dada da! And I was like cool, I mean I'm not an aesthetician. You do your job and I'll do mine, am I right?! We had a good time. She cleaned my face, I had a mask. It's a facial. It's not rocket science. Then, I went to check out: omg. The girl was like your niece had a standard facial (65) and an an add on of the extraction (10? 15?) I don't know. What's a facial without extractions? It's fine. I paid it. For me she was like and you had the LED light and the extractions and something else and your add ons cost you literally twice as much as the facial. I kid you not - 15 minutes under that LED cost more than the actual facial! And they didn't even think to mention it until I paid the bill? Please. I am a good customer but that is, IMHO, just deplorable. That facial cost me $155!!!! I came back later in the day and talked to them about it, because I was feeling so badly. They gave me a complimentary facial for next time, which is very nice. But I told them - I would prefer not to return! So, take it from this dumdum, be careful! In addition to being quick, I didn't get the "extra" treatment that I've gotten at other locations (samples/massage/etc). Overall, the facial itself and the atmosphere of this place were good. However, I have a decent amount of congestion on my chin area, so I booked a "spotless treatment" facial to help clean some of it out. While she was doing extractions, I noticed that she was pushing much harder on my face than anyone else I'd ever gone to, and that her fingers KEPT slipping. You know when you're doing an extraction on yourself and your finger slips and makes it 10x worse because now you've broken the skin? Think of that, but worse AND you're paying for someone to do it to you. I honestly don't know what she even did and I'm being 100% honest when I say that. When I went home, all of the blackheads and all of the congestion that I was looking to get rid of were still there and now I had a bunch of mini scabs and angry bumps on my face that were NOT there before. I went in to the appointment with my skin looking amazing and was just looking for some cleaning of my pores and some extractions of the congestion on my skin. I left with bright red, painful skin, scabs, and angry bumps that were not there in the first place PLUS everything that was originally there still was. Do not waste your money here, pay the extra $70 and get a facial at Burke Williams. Seriously. read more
