I had such a wonderful facial here yesterday with Luna. They made sure to thoroughly analyze my skin and addressed its needs prior to the treatment. The facial itself was super relaxing. I mentioned I am a little bit light sensitive and Luna went above and beyond to make sure that the light was never directly in my eyes. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent facial treatment at this location. While I appreciate the friendly staff and the clean facility, I felt that my experience did not align with the value of the $155 I paid. To begin with, I arrived a few minutes after my appointment was scheduled to begin. The staff did not offer me a grace period, which is a common practice to ensure that clients receive a high-quality experience. Instead, they proceeded with my treatment knowing they would not be able to fully deliver the service. Furthermore, I was not given a mask at the end of my facial in the facility, which comes with the service I paid. Instead, I was given the mask itself to take home along with the instructions to apply it. This omission, coupled with the rushed extraction process, which I believe was unnecessary given my facial history as a returning client of theirs, resulted in an unsatisfactory experience. Despite the positive aspects of the location, such as the friendly staff and the clean facility, the quality of the treatment did not meet my expectations. I regret not choosing a different location or place for my facial, as the experience at HeyDay Manhattan Beach did not justify the expense. read more

My husband and I both tried Hey Day for the first time! We were able to get an appointment same day of booking. We noticed right away that it was open concept and we were able to hear other rooms. I personally like the quiet and it was distracting hearing other people. I have gotten facials done a lot, and there were some things missing from this experience. For example, they didn't put steam on my face to help open up my pores. Also, when I've done other facials they would massage me while the mask is setting on my face. I just laid there for 10ish mins. This felt like an experience of getting a facial for the very first time. My husband did not know any different and thought it felt great! My friend and I immediately made appointments for their signature 50-minute facials for a grand opening promotion rate of $65 (regularly $145). There were a couple new store hiccups during booking, but things sorted out. AMBIANCE (4/5) Located in Manhattan Village, the new location is sparkling and clean. There's a foyer with the reception desk and retail shelves of beauty products ranging from Tata Harper to Dermalogica. Facials are administered in an open-concept layout with a semi-walled and curtained station for each client-facialist duo. SERVICE (5/5) Check-in with the very nice front desk representative was easy and included a detailed client intake form inquiring about your skincare needs and issues. Aubriana, my facialist, rocked! She was knowledgeable, thoughtful, super sweet, and clearly loves natural beauty. She expertly applied a comprehensive regimen of cleansers, moisturizers, and other products and also performed extractions and LED lighting. The experience was relaxing and left my face glowing! I've been to Heyday since their opening back in December and I really enjoy each time I go. My facialist is Luna and she is just amazing! Very friendly staff overall. Luna really caters to what you need and is quite knowledgeable on a lot of facial techniques. My fave is the gua sha treatment. She is also a delight to talk to! This spa is different than other spas so just know they have more of an open vibe and not the usual quiet. It's not loud but it's not library quiet if that makes sense. It doesn't bother me because I am more there for the facial and I still feel very relaxed during and leaving there. read more

I gave Heyday facials a try but I'm not too in love with the concept. Note that the facial itself was good and I am not at all dissatisfied by the quality of the service I received. But Heyday isn't a traditional spa or day spa concept. It's a stripped down, in and out sort of place. It's a concept that works well in big cities I'm sure, particularly for really busy young professionals. But part of what I enjoy about going to a spa is the intentional slowing down away from my usual routine. So I don't think Heyday is for me.. read more

I went to a Manhattan Village wellness day this past Sunday and there were booths from all different stores in the village area. I went to the HeyDay booth which was giving out complimentary gua sha and lip treatments. It was a great experience to see what services they provide and the lady doing the gua sha explained a few products I should get for my skin that HeyDay had. I went in to get the Moon Juice Plump jelly because each person was getting 15% that day but they were out of stock and weren't able to order and provide the 15% off. Had my very first facial last week w/ Kelsie at Heyday MB. The front desk provided great service. I especially appreciated that Kelsie didn't make me feel pressured when she was giving me my treatment options and recommended products. Everything felt super clean and tidy. The location is a bit hard to find but they text you instructions/directions before your appointment. Overall, i think this place is ok. If you are a seasoned skin care junkie that is used to getting facials I would not recommend this. For first timers or those on a budget I would say that this is a good option for you. My first facial at Heyday was amazing. I felt so pampered and left relaxed. The esthetician would massage my hands and neck while waiting for the mask to sit on my face, and I also opted for their version of the hydra facial. I signed up for a membership that very day. My second facial at Heyday was with a different esthetician. (My mistake for not sticking with who i knew was great). The whole visit was noticeably different than the first, it felt rushed and she only did minor extractions on just my nose. While waiting for the mask to sit on my face, I could hear tapping sounds and when i looked over, the esthetician was on her phone. She did not change her gloves or wash her hands in between touching the phone and my face. This happened several times. After the mask, she would slap on serum after serum without taking the time to massage it in or wait for it to dry. I left feeling disappointed and had to wash my face when i got home because it was piling and it was overly greasy, not to mention I was grossed about her touching her phone for hygiene reasons. I canceled my membership immediately. I provided this feedback to customer service and hope that they can be more consistent with their service providers. read more

My experience here a few weeks ago with Luna was so extraordinary, it has taken me about two weeks to figure out how to describe what a wonderful, soothing, and beautiful experience I had during my treatment. I realize now that the reason it has been so hard for me to put it into words, is because there are no words, you just have to go and experience her/ heydays' services for yourself. Not only was Luna kind and gentle physically but she was also extremely emotionally sensitive and understanding of a recent tragic event that occurred in my life and supportive when I admittedly cried during my facial (not bad tears, tears of release). Also, she is clearly great at what she does, and I had no negative skin reactions to any products. Like Luna, staff member Stefany at the counter greeted me and set me up with my first appointment the day before, and she was also extremely kind beyond measure when I met her. I have since become a member and enjoy the recommended products from Luna, who also wrote me a kind and heartfelt message following the appointment. I can't wait for my next appointment- self care is so important and if you can do more of it you absolutely should. read more

I would not recommend this place. pros: Very friendly staff, especially front desk. They don't overpush products. cons: They are open air rooms, meaning you can hear everything that goes on in the entire location. During my facial, I heard the entire conversation in the cubby next to mine, so it wasn't a very quiet experience. The estehtician only tackled my nose for extractions. I know I have other blackheads around my face and she did not want to do them. Also, part of the facial experience is feeling pampered, but the esthetician gave a very minimal facial massage. Overall I don't feel the facial results/benefit in relationship to the $145 price is worth it. For $145 you should be getting a more private, thorough, and pampered experience. I'm mixed! The great: My treatment here was nice -- my facialist was very knowledgeable, through, and friendly. The meh: Because the facials are custom, unless you're very familiar with their menu of add-on services, you may not know whether something offered to you is as an add-on or something they offer to clients under the "normal facial price" umbrella. I knew this location offered hyrdo infusions as an add on, but had I not I would have been shocked by the hefty add-on charge. For new clients especially, providers should be informing folks about any additional charges for services they recommend so clients can make an informed decision. The bad: Customers are expected to show proof of vaccination at their appointment, which was not mentioned as a requirement. Not at the time of appointment booking, or in the confirmation email, or on their website. Luckily, i was able to pull up my virtual card, but it was disappointing that they did not set this expectation with clients before the appointment. I would have been bummed if I had gotten turned away after already having traveled. Reception's impression was that this info was shared with clients beforehand via email and text after booking-- but it wasn't in the email and I never got a text. Not sure how they're going to inform people moving forward, but a logical approach would be to: 1. let people know PRIOR to booking as part of their online agreements and 2. correct the "Before your Appointment" instructions in the confirmation email to actually reflect what's required. While most people can and (should be!) vaccinated, not everyone can be -- and HeyDay should make their requirements transparent. read more

Came here for the first time and had Kelsey as my esthetician. The place is great, very clean, the front receptionist was very warm and answered all my questions. Kelsey was fantastic- she walked me through what her plan was after evaluating my skin and was transparent about what was an up charge versus standard. She recommended the Gua Sha which was relaxing and I saw an immediate impact from it. Afterwards she recommended a few products but wasn't pushy. If there is one thing I cannot stand from a business, it's lack of mutual respect. My husband got me a gift card for my birthday and I booked an appointment for a facial over a week ago. I received numerous text messages reminding me of their cancellation policy and fees that I would be charged if I broke the policy. After arranging childcare and schedules for my appointment today, I received a text message only a few hours before my scheduled time with them CANCELING my appointment. Their reason was a sick service provider. I completely understand and respect that as I take COVID seriously and honestly don't want to get sick, period. However, the way it was handled was awful. No phone call with only a few hours notice? Luckily I looked at my phone. No alternate dates/times offered. Nothing offered for THEIR last minute cancellation (as you know they would have charged me had it been reversed). Also, if a service provider is sick, why would it take up to 11am same day of service to be notified? Finally, as a business specializing in one service (facials), it seems like they would have other service providers. I had not requested any special provider or service. If you are thinking of booking an appointment here, just do not arrange childcare or anything else, as there is no guarantee they will keep the appointment on their end. I recommend Facial Haus if you are looking for a quick and reliable facial, or Trilogy Spa, which honestly is comparable in prices. read more

I can honestly say Emily has transformed my skin. I've been seeing her for over a year now and my skin has never looked or felt better.
