I went in for a last minute customized facial with Antonette who is the owner of the shop. Her energy is amazing. Very welcoming and very nice shop. She is busy but always assured me her attention and truly gave me her time when it came to my skin evaluation and facial. WOWWW!! my face - after a very dry winter and I had very flaky;dry hurting face was revived 1000 times with the facial!!! So luminous and hydrated and my skin looked 10 years younger!!! THAT is the power of a attentive and knowledgeable esthetician and that is what Antonette is. Good prices ; great location and easy street parking. She offers many services aside from facials ; lash lifts ; skin tightening etc. and fully trained and licensed. I was pleasantly surprised. This place is located in the west suburbs of Chicago on a street where there is a lot of other nice little shops. There is free two hour parking outside of the center. Upon entering I was greeted with a warm smile. I had a Groupon for a sugar scrub and massage. Upon entering they handed me some paperwork I completed the form that took about five minutes and they got started on my massage. I was a bit nervous because on the handout I completed it didn't ask how much pressure I wanted. However the masseuse did ask. I got my sugar scrub following my massage which was super relaxing. I was offered water after my massage. I didn't have a chance to view the whole place but they did have a small restroom in the front for customers that was nicely scented. The only downfall I noted was that I could hear the noise from outside of the location from peoples cars ( I'm assuming) and the phone ringing or being answered. I don't know what they can do to cancel it out so that it doesn't conflict with the music inside or the relaxation session. Overall I recommend! read more

Not only does she treat your skin but she gives advice on what to do at home. All of the products she use are available to buy. My face has never looked or felt this beautiful. If I could give this woman one star I would. I heard about this "spa" studio through Groupon. At first impression, Antoinette was kind of rude on the phone. In person, I felt she was more welcoming. It was my first time getting a Brazillian wax and I was nervous.Keep in mind I have been waxed many times, just not the Brazillian. She made me feel at ease and I disrobed and waited for her to come in. I hadn't shaved my legs because I was contemplating getting them waxed as well. She made a rude comment that I was "a hairy kid." As a female this was appalling. I was laying there naked already feeling vulnerable and she was making inappropriate comments. I continued to lay still and endure her "expertise." She started off by applying the wax in the wrong direction causing it to hurt. When she ripped off the strip she didn't pull it off in one continuous rip...meaning she lost her grip and had to re-pull the same strip. This happened not once not twice but many times. I would expect this from a friend or an amateur but not a professional. This was VERY painful and this is a very sensitive area to not be ripping off the strip correctly. She once again made the same comment that I was "a hairy kid" and continued to wax me. By this time I was very upset. As I turned I noticed many spots that were remaining. She asked me if she wanted to get a spot she already had went over twice but I was in too much pain and said it no it was ok.. (Thinking it was a minimal amount of hair because she had already done it twice). After she was done and I was getting my clothes on I was horrified. I endured ALL the pain and she had MISSED half of the front. It was not a couple strands of hair...I'm talking half. Because she owned the "spa" and it was just her and I in there I was too uncomfortable to say anything. I redeemed my Groupon, was polite, and even tipped her $10. As soon as I went into my car I called Groupon in tears. In a spa setting you should not be made to feel so disgusting as she made me feel. The experience was upsetting and painful and NOT worth it. Groupon refunded me my money on the spot. I WOULD NEVER go to her or recommend her. It could be possible that she is better on facials (as none of the reviews are on her waxing capabilities) But honestly, there are better places to get waxed from. read more

They use really good products, and prices on the services were very competitive for the quality of the work. I started with a daily deal and was happy to schedule more services and go back! My first visit happened on a very bad day and I was super late and fine with forgoing part of my treatment. But the staff helped put me at ease, gave me the rest of my treatment with care and patience and assured me it was okay to just rebook the part of the treatment I missed. I was so happy I not only rebooked the scrub, but added ANOTHER massage AND a facial! The massages were quite relaxing but the miracle was the facial! I've been places where they manage to nearly drown you getting water or product up your nose, but not this one. I learned about this spa through Groupon and I'm so glad I went. She customized my spa facial to suit my skin. She was gentle, professional and detailed in her work. She makes you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the experience. Additinally, she isn't overly inquisitive and nosey about your life. I'm writing this ONE day after my facial and my skin is not overly red, dry or irritated. She mentioned that my facial was gentle as she must assess how it will react to treatment. Although this was the more "gentle" treatment, it's just right for me. My skin is smoother and glowing. I hope that my next treatment will be slightly more aggressive by my request and I can trust she will choose the right strength and kind of products. She seems to be a conservative skin care professional that will err on the side of caution instead of going to extremes. I was most worried about extractions as some professionals will force extractions that don't occur easily, causing some trauma and redness. She didn't do this, my skin looks and feels great. Am so glad I found this place! I initially went for ear candling, then fell in love with the place and have since enjoyed facials and massages here. Antonette (the owner) is a goddess of skincare with extensive abilities. She's also extremely professional and sweet. She makes people feel welcome and well cared-for. Maria (another sweet, darling soul) is an extremely talented massage therapist. She's able to remove the most stubborn muscular knots, yet she does it so gently it seems magical. The services here are lovely and the prices are too! You can expect to pay double or more for similar services at other spas. They also carry and use DoTerra oil, which I love. My experience at Face2Face Spa Studio was by far one of the best (if not thee absolute best) and I've been getting facials and such for 15 years. I purchased a Groupon and called to schedule an appointment. I expected the typical Groupon experience where the person answering the phone would sound overwhelmed, overworked, frizzed and tell me the next appointment available was 6 weeks out. Instead, I got a warm, inviting, patient woman who made me excited for my upcoming visit. Upon arriving, I discovered that woman was Antoniette. I instantly felt relaxed and as if problems of life stop the second she greeted me. (I'm not being dramatic she's a good soul) Service was an A+ so now on to the results because that's an important factor as well, right? My spa facial here was very enjoyable. Antonette is so nice and friendly and not too pushy about the products she sells. We talked throughout the whole thing and I was still very relaxed. Great suggestions for my skin, nice feeling of the products she used, and the extraction part wasn't too painful. My skin felt great afterwards, although I did have to take a minute to wipe off leftover scrub from my hairline that she missed. I bought a Groupon for a facial by Antoinette. The owner herself was knowledgeable and very kind, but the experience was not pleasant. Here's why: - the bed I laid on was like from a doctors office. Very stiff not relaxing. - this leads to the room - a modified doctors room. I couldn't get past this and relax. - she was way too rough when massaging. I didn't enjoy it all. It was horribly awkward. I was sore for days after. Would I go back? Possibly. For another type of treatment. I did like the owner quite a bit and she did do a great job on my facial. read more

I've unsubscribed from their email newsletter on 3 separate occasions. Really not sure why I keep receiving emails. They must really want my honest review. The owner is a very pleasant lady and I love to support local buisnesses. However on 3 separate occasions my visits were inconvenienced out of the 4 times I've been there. On the first occasion I was double booked and she rushed through my Brazilian wax, leaving me patchy, far from being bare. Gave her the benefit of the doubt and went my second time, no issues. The third visit, I arrived to my appt to my surprise the shop was closed. Called both the shop and personal number thinking they just had locked doors. Nope, turns out she had some other arrangements and failed to reach out to me to cancel My appt.. my appt was reschedule for later that day. My fourth and final visit.. my VAGINA was waxed shut. She was extremely cheap with her products to remove excess wax and left me patchy yet again. Had to go home to pull wax out of the inside my my vagina lips. Which was not fun nor pretty! I liked the facial I received my skin was in really great shape after. I got a groupon and i felt the owner tried really hard to up-sell. She did get me and i did upgrade my facial, but i have a feeling that is the whole point of her getting in groupon clients. I really didn't like the space, it seems like an old doctors office and the facial room is really small and not relaxing. She played music on her cellphone while preforming the service with commercials included. I probably wouldn't go back because I like for facials to be more like a "spa" experience. Visited Antonette again yesterday for a peel. Did a face peel AND a back peel. Both were fantastic. I'm excited to see my results in a few weeks. The face peel included a papaya enzyme mask (smelled great) followed by the acid peel and then retinol, vitamin c, and collagen boosters. Antonette did three layers of acid which were pretty hot but she kept me comfortable by fanning. The back peel felt great. If this is the service I get from them and I'm not even there, then I definitely do not want them touching my face!
