    fun night.

I've been coming to Fabric for a long time, ask for Kyle he's the nicest. If you need anything make sure you set it up ahead of time!

Fabric seemed to be one of the best nightclubs rated & reviewed onYelp, so I decided to check it out. I came on a Saturday night around 12:45 and there was a long queue. It took roughly 20 minutes to get in, that wasn't too bad. I got the student rate discount with my student ID (14 pounds). When you walk it both guys and girls get padded down - so if you're sneaking something in you better be real good about it. As everyone has mentioned before, this club is underground. There are a lot of stairs and the club is almost like a maze (3 dance floors, Room 3 being the smallest, and brightest). The restrooms were fairly clean (unisex). The cleaning staff was everywhere, even on the dance floor which was nice. There is a mixture of young and old people - all types too. Why I am giving it 2 stars was because: -I did not fancy the music. Sure I was aware that it was Drum & Bass, but I was looking forward to the "hip hop" floor. I expected the music to be different but honestly it was kind of the same. Not one song had someone singing of the 2.5 hours I was there. -Also the drinks are hella expensive, you better pre-game outside because you'll probably be spending 10 pounds minimum for a drink I have to admit the 2nd floor vibration was cool. I felt the music beat in my lungs, and it makes you want to move. But then again the music's beat is literally "pound..pound..pound.." over and over again. I've been to MANY nightclubs in over 4 countries already and this was my least favorite. The cost was not worth the experience (I would have at least liked to have a free drink with the purchase). If you are looking for a great place to dance - GO TO TEATRO IN MADRID. That has to be THEEEE nightclub (besides the clubs in Ibiza of course) Sorry Fabric, you are not the club for me

After supporting the #savefabric movement by signing the petition from abroad, coming to this historic dance music landmark after they successfully re-opened was an absolute must. I had long been a big fan digesting countless fabric mixes over the years dating back to the legendary Caspa & Rusko 37 compilation from 2007. Pre-sale tickets were £23 in advance and only slightly more at the door. The prices then drop down to around £10 after 3 AM typically (follow them on social media for updates). While the queues to enter the club were a breeze at around midnight on a Friday, the security was extremely thorough given the strict rules they now need to adhere to for licensing. I expected this in advance and given everything that's gone on, was not the least bit disappointed and felt extremely safe after entering. I was fully patted down, searched with a metal detecting wand and had my shoes carefully examined. Once this process was over, we were in... Fabric has three dark and intimate rooms of impeccable sound quality surrounded by brick walls, high ceilings and plenty of space to and from. There are bars all around to never wait long for a drink, FREE WATER, and a staff that was both polite and helpful. The venue is dimly lit with no cheesy LED screens and the perfect amount of suitable lighting and effects to compliment the sound. The crowd was great: respecting of space, having a great time and vibing to the music. Fabric exceeded my expectations and I'm happy to have had the chance to finally make it here after all this time. Here's to keeping this epic venue around for many more years to come!

Literally the worst place in London. Like, ppl falling asleep it's so terrible Don't waste your time

This has to be one of my favourite venues in London if not my favourite, but as a fabricfirst member i could be quite biased!! The club is set 3 stories underground, in the old meat cellars of the meat markets across the road. It houses three rooms, all of which are open brick work, room 2 being the largest and room 1 containing the first body sonic dancefloor. All three sound systems are fantastic, and although drinks are more expensive than your local, they are no more expensive to any other venue of this nature, and the multitude of bars means you never really have to que that long! The biggest thing that sets Fabric apart however is the music pollicy. Very underground and forward thinking. Fabriclive on fridays can go from drum and bass, dubstep, house, breaks and hip hop with regular features from the likes of Scratch Perverts and LtJ Bukem. Fabric on saturdays is much more striped back house and Techno, and features people along the lines of Radio Slave, Richie Hawtin, Terry Francis, Magda to name a few. If you like your clubs big, with excellent line ups then this is well worth checking out.

Fabric is a nightclub and record label enterprise, being popular with mainly dubstep fans they have set the standard for any other venue that celebrates any and everything underground. Music you can expect to hear on a weekendly or even weekly basis consists of everything from Dubstep, Drum 'n' Bass, Hip Hop and Funky House music. They have a licensed bar for the 2000 people that can fit in this huge venue. The staff are the coolest on the planet the drinks are cheap, the music is wicked it's definatly a place you need to visit in your life time trust me!

It's almost a rite of passage that whenever you visit London the place to go is Fabric, and after going there it's easy to understand the attraction this landmark presents. Launched in 1999, Fabric nightclub has gone from strength to strength and is now arguably Britians premier electronic nightspot. But does it really live up to all the hype? Well yes and no. Musically you will not find many better places in London. Fabric boasts a slew of top name DJ's in almost every genre you can imagine, couple this with regular live performances from bands and hip-hop acts and add into the mix the fact that this enormous venue (formerly a slaughterhouse) has three rooms to choose from, each producing different styles and it seems you can't lose. The venue itself is grimy, very grimy and becomes all the more grimy as the night wears on. But for a venue with this many people milling about smashed off their tits, it's hardly surprising they didn't litter the place with Ming vases. On the down side Fabric has become somewhat a victim of its own success. Due to its ever increasing popularity it seems to attract an ever increasing number of wankers who come, not out of love for the music but because it is the place to be seen. Drinks are absurdly expensive, the most popular, and cheapest drink, is water at £2 a pop. With a large group of mates I can promise that, for better or worse, you will have an evening to remember.

Mixed feelings about this club. I am very much into the underground genres that they host here (Drum and bass / techno) however, I am from Los Angeles and can only compare this club to the States. Before entering I was already annoyed by the entry process felt more like a security check at an airport there was rather too many checks to enter. The line was ridiculous, as you wait, if you you have anything in your pockets they need to be emptied into little bowls/ bins you then reach a point to check ID then to be patted down. After you are aggressively told to move along upstairs where you are able to check in coats (cash only). Do not lose your ticket because it is like pulling teeth trying to get anything from them without it. Also, there was a little bin to dispose of any drugs, which I doubt anyone does. The music is what makes this place pretty dope however it is over saturated with kids who cannot hold their liquor nor handle their drugs. If you are not bothered by this than I'd assume you'd have a good time. This venue has 3 rooms, room 1 is headliners with a balcony room two has a bar in the back which is nice room three upstairs is very small. Once you're inside it's gets better but it's the process of getting inSide that makes the experience cringe worthy

Love the venue but not so much the acts. Don't expect candy melodies or anything above 120 bpm here: minimalist house is all that's being served, a scene that has put Fabric on the map. Though Carl Cox's and Von Stroke's recent gigs may be heralding a turn towards the mainstream.

Amazing! Probably one of the best clubs Ive ever been to. Inside its huge (got lost a few times..), with many different rooms with all styles of music. Therefore, a mixed crowd. The atmosphere and decor is unique and incredible. Loved the underground basement with dark, pulsing drum nbass vibes with lasers!! The ques, unfortunately, can be terrible. Be there early or ensure yourself a spot on the guestlist..will be a great benefit.

I used to come here every night when I was living in Angel. Its arty nonsense was a refreshing escape from social barriers of London life. Each night I would arrive about 9, alone with a sketchbook in hand, and within half an hour I would have made friends with artists, musicians, actors and television producers. Each night about 10pm, they have live music from regular bands, and jazz musicians singing their souls out. I felt completely comfortable being a girl on my own; I saw it as an education for life ;)

Five minutes walk from Angel tube station, the King's Head is a pub/theatre, and an ideal place to…read moredrink and enjoy a performance. Well recognised for a wide mix of classic and contemporary theatre it's famous for attracting an absorbing crowd to the admirable performances. We called to book tickets for a Wednesday evening, but we were told just to come along (I'd always ring to check though as popularity varies). So, after a drink in the bar area we headed upstairs to the theatre, wine glasses in hand. We watched 'The Rape of Lucrece', a narrative poem by Shakespeare. The acting was astonishingly good and I find it really remarkable to see a performance of such quality in such an intimate space. The theatre is the size of your living room and our seats were so close to the stage that I could see the sweat on the actor's face! After you can head back down to the bar to top up your wine and rave over what you just had the real pleasure of seeing. Often you're joined in the bar with the actors themselves which shows what a nice atmosphere this place has. For the love of theatre!

Great little venue just across the road from Highbury and Islington Station. Whilst the venue…read moreitself is quite intimate, the acoustics are anything but. For most gigs I have no idea who is doing the sound, but it's either muffled to the point you can hear any words, or overly loud, in which case you feel the person in the booth is either deaf, bad at their job, or just has access to really poor equipment. It is capable of sounding good. One gig by Glasvegas was perfect. Sound was balanced, not too loud, and I understood every word (despite the accents!) so they really just need to pull their finger out for the majority of other acts, regardless of who supplies equipment. The venue is a little dank inside and when it's packed can get quite rowdy. So as long as you're not wearing anything particularly nice, you'll be fine.

I went to The Garage twice in one week - first to see Abney Park (a steampunk band who don't often…read moreperform in the UK) and then to see the Cruxshadows (a darkwave band from America, along with several other really great bands - Among the Echoes and Bad Pollyanna). The sound was ok, a little bit dodgy to start with but certainly improved as the night went on. It's a small venue with a bar, stage and very small seating area (near the bar). I think it's the perfect size for bands - intimate enough to get close to the band but big enough that you can dance around and lose yourself in the small crowd. The prices at the bar are quite expensive in my opinion: I took 20 quid on the first night and that was just enough to buy two beers and two shots of spirits for me and my friend. Thankfully there's a Barclay's cashpoint just around the corner. Even when it's quite busy though, you never have to wait for too long to get a refreshment. There's a cloakroom that charges £2 per item so we combined our jackets to make it one item (shh! Don't tell anyone!). They section off a bit of pavement outside as a smoking area which I know can get a bit crowded on busy nights. I can't comment on the men's toilets (although I have been in them once, apparently...I don't remember much of that night!!) but the women's loos aren't up to much. There's at least two that leak so you either hope to get one of the unflooded ones or play a puddle dodging game before you sit down! As the other reviews have said, it's close to the Tube station so it's easy to get to. Or if you're a bus-sort-of-person then there's some bus stops just around the corner. Overall, compared to other 'alternative' bars I've been too, this is one of the nicer ones. Brilliant for bands with very reasonable ticket prices.
