You may find some OK deals in the clearance aisle that runs down the center of the store, but even some discounted items are OMG really? They do have a decent golf area (with the practice swing area closed) and a small bicycle area where they'll do a tune up if you purchase a bike (make sure you ask before just taking a bike to the checkout). They have lots of shoes, boots, hiking, camping, football, baseball, tennis, fitness, and other miscellaneous gear. This used to be a first stop for us, but lately we've been going to Academy Sports and having better luck and seeing better prices, so Dick's may be my Last Resort for my activity needs.

Had some deals, but we were not at all impressed with the staff today at the front counter. While we waited in line, 3 employees were arguing with each other in full view of the customers, something about some coupon on an iPhone I could tell one girl was getting really upset. The whole time there was a small line of customers waiting to check out. Whatever - eventually the one girl walks away, clearly flustered. We proceed to check out. The girl wearing the cowboy hat asks us very fast "cash or card" like hurry the hell up. "Card" we reply. She then just angrily points at the counter for us to place our items to buy. She rings us up like a robot, clearly pissed at something. Then she takes the same iPhone from the argument earlier and shoves it in my wife's face. "Email!" she says. My wife asks why do you need my email? "You won't get a receipt without it" That's fine, we are 3K miles from home, we like what we bought and we certainly aren't returning it. Also we can read the 50 signs spread out throughout the store "ALL SALES FINAL - NO RETURNS" and we are totally fine with that, no problem. Wife says, no thanks I don't want to put my email in you guys probably already have it anyways", her: "you won't get 10% off, 15% off, you get no receipt!" Really? Since when? That attitude and pure disdain displayed to us clearly shows she hates her job. I get it, people have rough days, but after witnessing how she treated her fellow employee in front of customers and the rudeness displayed to us, I felt the need to write this review. Not an asset or good ambassador for our beloved hometown Nike. Do better, Just do it. Terrible customer service.

Academy Sports & Outdoors is a great overall place for basically anything you need concerning spending time in the great outdoors or playing your favorite sport. Since I was five I ran abandoned airport strips with my father, in High School I ran my first half marathon, countless 5K's in between, and at 20 I ran my first marathon. It's nice to find a starting point in your shoe journey. Upon entering I wanted to check out the gait test so they handed me a waiver and I bought some really cool (GUARANTEED) no blister socks! You can bring your own but I'm excited to put these no blister socks to the test. They specifically are looking at where you ankles land. Than they ask you about comfort and start consulting on what need out of a shoe. They have both runnings shoes and cross training. No need to be a distance runner to find "the one"! All in all Ryan made for a really great experience and yes I paid the 30.00 membership which actually came out to 14.00 after the discount. Can't wait to get my second pair from this joint!

I kept them (with no receipt) to take them back. Well, every time we would head to Disney, I would forget to take them with me. On our last trip to Disney last week, I finally remember to bring them along. We came into the store with them to find out they no longer make that particular kind. Bummer. One of the employees, Sydney, noticed me using sign language to speak to my husband and he was interpreting for me. She immediately came over, introduced herself in sign language, and began assisting me. She is quite fluent in ASL and I was very impressed! It was SO amazing to not have to use my husband as an interpreter for a change! She is also a complete sweetheart and went above and beyond! Sydney told me I could exchange the flip flops for anything else in the store and either pay the difference or get money back if the item was less. Again, I had no receipt and it had been two years since I purchased these flip flops. I wear a lot of ball caps in the summertime to keep the sun off my face. Living in Florida and being allergic to the sun is no beuno! Sydney noticed my ball cap and asked if I'd be interested in one... yes, please! I found a gorgeous coral pink UA ball cap for about the same price as the flip flops. We had to pay a whopping $.53 cent difference! As we were checking out, I signed to my husband that my mouth was extremely dry and I needed to get a drink quickly. Since Sydney knows ASL, she caught what I said and she immediately asked another employee to go in the back and grab me a bottle of water. I'm telling you... above and beyond!! My hubby wears A LOT of UA clothing, Most of it we purchase from Dick's here in Jacksonville since we don't have an UA store. In the future, we'll be purchasing all his UA from this store at Disney Springs! Not only do they have a HUGE selection, but you just can't beat the customer service here.
