In our contract/set up plan, they had written 250 chairs and stated they would be able to fit 10 guest per table, and that I could bring the banquet permit the day of the reception. 2 days before the wedding, they call me stating that they cannot fit 10 guests per table and that they could not have 250 guests in the venue. They also needed the banquet permit at least a week in advance. They were extremely rude over the phone and in person. Only provided 230 chairs, not the 250 they promised us. And continued to state that "i don't know who is telling you this information about the guest count and what not but that's not how we do it" . They never apologized for the inconvenience or anything. I explained we would have never booked with them if they could not do 250 guests. But they kept raising their voice repeating the same thing "I don't know what to tell you. That's not how we run things" . I would NEVER recommend this place. Ever. To anyone. As a daughter of a retired vet, it disappoints me that they would treat customers the way they treated me and my family the day of my wedding date. But since I have to have 1 star, I give it to the worker, Joe. He was the ONLY person who would help us get things done. Management was awful. But joe was awesome. Thank you Joe.

I've been to Sidepony, the Mule's sister bar, which I absolutely love, so I've been dying to get in here! We finally got the chance before a Rainiers game recently and had a great experience. It's definitely bigger than I expected but the vibe is awesome. Like Sidepony, the decor is super eclectic and fun. There's a photobooth as well which is a fun touch. The back patio space is also really cool - it's also dark as it's covered, so I imagine it gets pretty warm back there in the hotter summer days. They don't have a giant food menu but they have a few sandwiches to choose from. We both got their grilled cheese which you can never go wrong with. Another notable part of our visit was the bartender - he was so nice! Extremely personable and handled holding down the entire bar by himself, including the cooking. Puyallup Elks provides ball fields for little league and very soon for a blind baseball league as well. Every year around Christmas they provide food for needy families. Since it was a one day only offer I did so and selected one of the near term events. When the discount was not automatically applied to my on-line purchase as the offer said, I called the ticket office which was closed and wouldn't open until Jan 18th. I left a message and someone called to tell me that the event I selected wasn't part of the offer. I think the lesson I learned is that one needs to be sure when responding to an offer from this group when buying on-line as they can be difficult to contact even during non-holiday periods.
