Rather than turn us away, she let us browse , saying that she was teaching the class but wouldn't have time to help us in real time. She let us know that we could flag her down if we had questions. We really enjoyed ourselves. The store is much larger than any local yarn store I have been to previously, and there are many unique and different yarns. Win came to help us after her class, and could not have been more wonderful. What started out as a browse, turned into some nice purchases. It's a gem of a store, and I look forward to going back on my next trip up north.

The staff is helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They'll help you as much as you want them to, without being pushy. In my case, there were some yarns that I liked, and they found the right projects for my taste and skill level, made sure I was kitted out, and taught me the techniques I'd need. In case you need patterns, they've got them. There's a full room dedicated to books. Don't miss the clearance section! They also do knitting workshops during week days by reservation, for a very modest fee. They also have classes, though they do fill out fast!

Normally this is a Tacoma Washington shop BUT this was their ninth season in f holding the glass pumpkin patch in Lincoln City. I can't wait to go to their shop and make something. This is my first experience to be in a pottery studio and I think I truly struck gold finding this…read morestudio. Phi is a phenomenal individual and I'm 100% this place will be bustling in no time. I also wouldn't be surprised if I find him featured in newspapers or pottery websites someday. In terms of learning, Phi's methods and his attentiveness are encouraging. For any one who think pottery is easy, it isn't. I've spent 6 hours in the studio and I still can't find my center. It's important to put in the work and I don't think it can be done without a teacher. There are some pitfalls that only an experienced potter could tell you. Having access to a full studio with a knowledgeable instructor is a must. Even wedging or hand building comes with special technique because clay itself has its attitude. In any case, this is a great studio and they also have a firing service. It's also located in a garage so if you're worried about the virus, air circulation here is good. Mask and social distancing are also respected. Great positive environment. Parking is decent. Be prepared to get dirty should you decide to join Phi weekly.
