I can't recommend FAB granite enough. We were finishing our basement and were able to find a builder who would let us do some of the subcontracting ourselves. As he made progress, he told us we needed to get our countertops in by the next week because the plumbing and inspection would be completed at that time. We were completely unprepared and in a big time crunch. We went to the typical big box stores but they required at least 2-4 weeks for installation. When I called FAB, Alexis was super helpful. I told her my needs and budget. I stopped by on my lunch break, so I was in a hurry. She walked me through the granite available on the lot and pointed out the best options for my budget. I asked if I could bring my husband by that night after they were closed to show him my favorites, and it was no problem. We made a selection, her guys were out the next day to take measurements. In a few days, we had a beautiful countertop that we love, it was actually our favorite granite that we had seen at any store. The work was done exceptionally well. They were even super understanding when it took me about a week to get the time to stop by and drop off the final payment. Great customer service, excellent workmanship. We have picked countertop that we wanted and we agree that we will having one sim only on countertop project, so we proceed and payed deposit. After they measured our kitchen the manager call us and told us we have to do 2 sims because the shape of the line on Quartz will not be matched Bla BLA. So he was traying to use one slab of the Quartz and cut to many pieces instead of using 2 slabs and have one sim. I told him we agree to have one sim when we gave you our kitchen measurements and you you said yes. He was so rude and unprofessional. I got my deposit back and went to much better place with good quality and much better price, and my countertop was done in three days with one sim. read more

Used FAB for two countertops, one kitchen and one bath. Had originally wanted granite but Fame, the owner, suggested quartz, that he had a perfect piece in mind and he could give us a special price. Looked good in the yard beforehand. After installation in kitchen, noticed a belly in the countertop, close to 3/8". The upstairs bathroom piece had a slightly less sag in the middle. Checked underneath and saw counter fully shimmed to match the bow. Called "Fame" who stared this was acceptable and that it would flatten out on about 14 days. They also cracked the mirror in the upstairs bath that runs the entire area above the vanity. After much discussion, they refused to replace either piece of defective quartz countertop or replace the mirror they broke. Don't be conned. I looked for a long time (14 years) for a unique stone, the other Fredericksburg/Stafford stone counter companies were charging 2x the amount quoted by FAB. I made a deal they took my counters out on Monday and Wednesday came with the new "quartzite". I called the supplier Eastern Marble Stone and they told me it was a hard Marble?? Not really sure what I really got but it is very pretty. Buyer be wear, the stone in 75% very good, then I saw two different directions near the sink?? My heart sunk, I fought with this in my mind for two days. Decided to ask for it to be fixed on Friday, with some "convincing" the owners "nephew" said that I got a good price and should live with it, NO WAY!! Then he agreed to replace the corner piece with a better piece if I agreed to post positive in yelp he said he wanted me to be happy. Friday the gang came back with a very pretty piece and replace the strange piece. So in the end I got a beautiful countertop and I paid $3750 for the kitchen and bathroom including the both sinks. Overall I love my counters and I got a great price....just a headache to get there! read more

This is after they cut the granite incorrectly and installed the wrong sinks. Had to fight to even get to this state and they refuse to come back and correct their mistake. I just replaced my granite countertops with quartz. The owner at Fab Granite was very helpful in showing me several options including quartzite, and explaining the difference and very patient as I made my selection. The price was better than a previous quote that I had received and my countertops look amazing. The installers were great and very meticulous. I have a couple buildouts for decorative arches around my stove and the granite had seams in those areas, but the installers cut the quartz in one piece and I only have one seam in an area that previously had 3 seams! Love the new counter tops we purchased from here. The staff was extremely friendly and showed us all the slabs they have and my wife found what she wanted. It only took 2 days for them to come out measure my kitchen cut the granite and install. They were in and out within 4-5 hours and everything looks great. Sloppy work. I just found two chips on the edge of one of my countertops. Also, when the installers left they did not completely turn off the water connection. When a friend came to install a faucet for me we discovered water all over the bottom of my cabinet. I've also discovered glue in different areas and a seam glued kind of messily. Those negatives made me tell a friend to be sure they check other places for quotes and recommendations. read more

I should have looked up the reviews for Fab Granite before I chose them. This company is unorganized, unprofessional, and only cares about money. The owner is rude and not concerned with customer service, quality, or craftsmanship. For the customer, that means: stay away. They will charge you for everything, including their (the company's) own mistakes, and they will do it more than once. Every mistake, whether it is in measurement, wrong orders, cuts, etc. will cost YOU money. The ladies that work for Fab, as well as the contractors they use to install were all polite and easy to work with, but that's where it ends. I wont bore with examples of the work or work-arounds used, as my complaints are similar or identical to negative reviews written before this. The point is: don't go to them for your project. The reviews make it obvious. If they do a good job on your project, you got lucky. If my experience changes based on further communications with Fab Granite, I will update and/or change this review. I am now going to pursue legal action just to get a shelf and soft closures we are still missing. As for our floor, which is still not finished, we will finish it ourselves. I called FAB Granite and Tile in search of a small piece of granite to match my existing countertops and was greeted warmly by Jeannie on the phone. She understood my request, suggested I come by, select a matching remnant and arrange installation. She also explained the pricing, which was very fair compared to other granite installers in town. In the display room I met with an expert who showed me options, asked questions about the project, helped me select matching remnants, and arranged installation for the next day! The installers arrived as scheduled with the two best remnants I'd chosen to compare to my current granite. They let me select the best one In the light of my own kitchen then cut it, trimmed it and installed it perfectly and securely. They cleaned up, accepted payment and were pleasant to work with throughout the installation process. When complained we were told they work cheap and fast and sometimes do not clean up enough. Did drop $100 off price after complaints. Took a lot of work by me on walls to correcty their work. Stone looks good after I fixed everything. Avoid them unless you are handly and can repair sheet rock. read more

I did get a great deal on sink and granite for our bathroom. My husband decided to install himself. Though I gave measurements, I didn't measure myself when picking it up. It wasn't too far off but we had to work it in between the three walls it was going in. The biggest reason we rate them a 1 start is because the wholes for the faucet butt right up to the sink. After we install it, we are hooking faucet on and you have absolutely no room to put fastener on the faucet. We now have to get into cabinet and try to cut some of the lip of the undermount sink or figure out how to put a spacer on. Not happy considering this is what they do for a living- how could this have happened? read more

Nicky in the office was fantastic and that is part of why I went with FAB. I also spoke to people who had used them years ago and were very pleased with them. I really wish I had checked out the reviews before going with them! On Sept 18th, 2015, a less than stellar couple of non English speaking men came to install my counters. They had several errors of problems but when I asked if all was okay they continually answered yes! The granite was not cut correctly in the corner. They brought the saw IN MY HOUSE and proceeded to cut it all the way through! It make a horrible, dusty mess in my house! Had I known they were going to do this, I would have closed my bedroom doors and put sheets on my furniture! They had asked to use my vacuum. I thought it odd they did not have one of their own but I did, reluctantly, allow them to use my Kirby vacuum. I didn't realize until after they left but they sawed right through the hose attachment. Through the middle and all around the edges of the top. Yes it still works but it is all jagged and rough and would not work well on furniture! They also made a hole about 1.5 inches by 2 inches in my wall, took chunks of dry wall out while attempting to fit a piece of granite in that needed to be recut on my ledge above my sink. Once they put this ledge on, it was sitting 1/4 inch up off the base and there was a gap that was very visible. They hit my stove hood with the granite and nicked it up about 10-12 inches long. There were places where they added the 'putty' to cover the places where the granite had little holes but they failed to seal these areas. On September 25th, they returned to bring my additional counter I was adding to my kitchen. They also send a team of men to fix the problems. This team was there 'A' team! Seemed much more knowledgeable, greater attention to detail, and a little bit more English speaking. One guy spoke great English. They had to bring a plumber in to fix my lack of pressure, painters in to fix my wall areas, and granite people to fix the issues. My stove hood is not fixable nor is my vacuum piece. They never afforded any solution to these problems. Then when they called to get the rest of my money, they seemed floored I did not want to pay the full price. She kept saying but we had to send all these people out again and it costs us money! I told her that was because HER people didn't do the job correctly the first time. Also, Nicky was no longer employed there! I do love my new granite counters but I feel considering all the mess in my house and damage that was done, I should have paid far less! read more

Very displeased with the craftsmanship of this business! While I was initially impressed with the sales staff, everything else was disappointing... To start with their pricing, we were given a quote that was more than a thousand dollars more than their competitor, TGM Granite! Going against my instinct, I decided to still do business with FAB as they matched the offer of TGM (even if they were reluctant to do so and were obviously upset that I was asking them to match the competitor's price). Next, when FAB came out to install the granite, several large holes were made in the drywall that could still be visible when they had completed the installation of the counter tops (have pictures). I asked the workers about this and they suggested I get someone to patch the holes - which FAB made! I contacted FAB and was told that they would send someone out to repair the damage; however, a few days later received a call from Mr. Fahmey himself threatening to place a lien on my home if I did not pay the second check. After several minutes of discussion and similar threatening statements, he agreed to send out a team to complete the job. Overall, I am unhappy with the experience with FAB, will not do business with them again and will not recommend them to any home owner. read more

I have been more than pleased with this company. We have used them on at least three different occasions and each time the installers couldn't have been better. I was amazed at how they installed a continuous long 9 ft section in a bathroom. No damage to any door frames! They informed us they would need to do some cutting after the granite was in place. Minimal mess and they leaned everything after. We them had them install a complete huge shower. Fahmey and staff were great in helping me chose the tiles. After everything was done we had an issue with the way a granite cap on a wall stub was installed. I called and Fahmey had someone out asap and it was fixed. I will NOT recommend them to anyone else! My kitchen was done a little over a year ago and the tiles are cracking everywhere! I have called several times and called again today for the owner! All I keep hearing is "The work is guaranteed for a year". Really? So expect the tile in the kitchen to only last 1 year??? That is crazy. Do not use this business. Worst customer service ever. This company was hired by the seller's real estate agent to fix a loose dishwasher bracket under a granite countertop. First of all, their installer showed up without tools, wtf? All he brought was a power drill. He borrowed some of my tools to try and make a bracket fit that was the wrong size bracket. He said that my dishwasher was too small and that they do not have the right size bracket. After drilling several visible holes in my counter, the bent bracket prevented the dishwasher from opening and closing freely. However, the installer (who barely spoke english) tried to convince me that it was ok. I told him several times that this was not an acceptable installation. He kept insisting that this is how they always perform their work. He left to "talk to his boss" while I was on the phone with their company receptionist. He came back about 20 minutes later with a different bracket. He ripped off a wooden panel under the countertop to fit the new size bracket. When he finished installing the new bracket, he again tried to pass off this shoddy work as "good". As soon as I opened the dishwasher door, the newly installed bracket ripped off the underside of the countertop. As I am clearly showing this guy that the dishwasher is loose he is looking at me with a dumbfounded look and still trying to insist that the job is complete. Absolutely incompetent. I cannot believe that this installer is employed by anyone. He also refused to give me his name when I asked for his business card. I called the company again to explain that this job is still not complete and the work is not of an acceptable quality. The receptionist said that she needed to talk to the supervisor. So the supervisor calls me back and is very rude and unprofessional on the phone. He raised his voice at me over the phone, insulted me, and interrupted me while I was trying to explain the situation. He said that they install dishwasher brackets every day and this is how they always perform their work. He said it was my fault that I have a smaller sized dishwasher and that nobody makes a bracket to fit this size dishwasher. He actually had the audacity to say that I am the only person in the world with this size dishwasher. He complained that I was wasting his time and gas by having the installer come out there. Terrible customer service! After the installer left, I noticed a cracked and chipped floor tile where he carelessly dropped his drill or MY hammer. I gave up on contacting this company because I know they will deny it and I won't be able to prove it, even though the chipped tile is DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE DISHWASHER HE WAS WORKING ON! read more

Great prices but you get what you pay for. The granite is beautiful but the edges are chipped because they use outdated grinding tools. The installers don't speak English so you can't talk you them about concerns. The "plumber" they sent to reattach the sinks had no idea what he was doing so I had to call another plumber to fix his mistakes. The sinks weren't what we were shown in the showroom. And be ready for a call for final payment before the installers even get back to their truck. I appreciate that small business is a cashflow exercise and I always pay promptly but with this level of quality, I held part of the final payment until everything was fixed (plumbing was never fully fixed). If I could give ZERO Stars I would. At first I thought this was a great company and they were very helpful. Keep in mind I spent $15,000 on a kitchen remodel. When the money was flowing they treated me exceptionally well. I made three payments of $5000 each all in cash to them. Right before the last payment was made I noticed four of the ceramic tiles were cracked from installation and the grout in a few places was already cracked. I politely asked them to replace all the broke tiles & fix the grout which they eventually did but did a very sloppy job this time around an you could really tell how upset they were to be there to fix their own mistakes. A few days after the repairs were done I noticed the grout in 3 places was sunken in and cracked all around the tiles they replaced. In the rush to do the repairs they just simply didn't put enough grout back in so it immediately started cracking and falling apart. Again I wasn't upset I just wanted it fixed As soon as possible. I made the mistake of giving them the last $5000 payment before the repairs were done. All of a sudden they were the "Busiest company in town" an couldn't make it over to do the repairs. Every appt I set up for them to come by they literally stood me up. I'm talking no phone calls no nothing. Which at the time I was working out of town so every appt I had to have a friend come to my house an wait for them just for them not to show up or even call to say they can't make it. I was working 20 days out of town an 10 days off. So Everytime I got back I would go to their office to try n find out why they weren't showing up and I would setup another time for them to come by. Well this literally went on for FIVE MONTHS! And they never came to fix it. They stood me up OVER a DOZEN times!! Finally I gave up on it and it's been over a year now and the grout has never been fixed. I bought their higher end beautiful ceramic tiles and I just hope one doesn't break because there's not enough grout holding it in place. I also noticed a large crack in the Granite Countertops I purchased from them and the owner looked me straight in the eyes and tried his best to convince me that it wasn't a crack but a mere blemish when it was clearly a Large crack that goes all the way thru the Granite it's not just a surface feature. Of course that was never repaired either because that was their special order Nicer Quality Granite and they would have had to come out of their own pockets to replace that piece. The best he would do was write me a letter and sign it stating that if it did break they were responsible for it. I guess it's better than nothing but still I feel like it's Poor Business Practice. There's a few other things that they got over on me with as well but I won't bore you with those. All in all I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. You live and you learn. There's plenty of other contractors out there so please don't try your luck with this one. read more

We recently had new counters and backsplash installed by Fab. Had went here after being recommended. We were immidatley greeted by the owner and a one of the receptionists. We had an idea of the color, and was walked around outside to see all of their slabs (and there were many!) and he had exactly what we were looking for. We had a rough lay out of our kitchen, and he gave us a price, which was excellent! They came and measured the same day we were in the show room, and had us installed 2 days later. It was perfect, especially since we had family come in from out of state a few days later. They could not get over the beauty of our new kitchen and tile backsplash. We had gotten other quotes and Fab beat them by quite a lot. The actual installers were amazing. We have a some what odd shaped kitchen, and the guys were extremely meticulous in making it perfect. The tile installer who came a day after the counters, was professional and friendly as well. The girls in the office are great, and are great at communication and scheduling around our busy schedule. They did not bat an eye at our crazy requests. We are about ready to re do our bathroom, and looking forward to working with Fahmey and his team again. If you are looking for beautiful stone counters and great prices, with excellent workmanship, Fab is the way to go. Not sure why these old reviews have some negative ones.. Fab was and will be my top pick for renovations. Fahmey also told my husband and I, that he has someone to install our wood floors too! read more

DO NOT USE! As someone said before, I had to check a star to write a review. I've already posted about my experience with them but I'm updating. I had a coupon that offered me a free measurement, sink and faucet. I got 2 out of 3 (no faucet). What good does a sink do without a faucet? To get the job complete, I had to pay an additional $150 for the faucet but when I went to discuss this with the owner, I found him rude and belligerent. He said the coupon was a mistake and that he would ensure the coupons were cancelled. I said in America, even if it was a mistake, you honor it and he said no, that he had saved me thousands of dollars. As an update, this happened in April and here we are in the middle of May, I've received three different coupon books and the coupon for free measurement, sink and faucet is still there. "IF" you decide to use this company, make sure it is in writing for all three on the contract (ensure it is spelled out in writing) - do not trust they will honor the coupon you give them, even if it's stapled to the contract! Terrible measuring and production, hole for sink 5 inches off center and overall piece was too short. Then they tried to persuade me to accept small pieces of the quartz product with accompanying multiple visible seams rather than order a new single piece per the initial design. Measurements taken on blank white paper instead of with laser tool or template made from Styrofoam board so that any wall imperfections where accounted for. Installer did not have adequate tools so used my carpenter to screw, nail and cut the walls/cabinets where needed (b/c they don't measure correctly!). Naturally they expected me to pay him while they wanted their full price. Would never recommend. read more

I had FAB install a kitchen counter top a couple of years ago. They were less expensive than other places in the area and I was happy with the job. More recently I had them install granite counter tops in all of my bathrooms and it was a total fiasco, mostly because the only people who speak English at FAB are the ones that work in the office. The installers speak so little English that they can barely communicate with you, which causes misunderstandings and mistakes to happen (which they did.) They also scratched my storm door as they were carrying new and old counter tops in and out. I WISH they had simply asked me to hold the door wide open as they did that - I would have GLADLY done so. I didn't notice the damage until later and the owner wouldn't do anything about it. There was also a spot on one of the counter tops that I didn't notice until after the installers left. The spot was rectified, but a large dull spot on the shiny finish was left behind. I had FAB come out several times to polish it, specifically asking for someone who could speak English. None of the guys they sent can really do that. They made a couple of attempts to hand polish and would all say, "This very expensive polish, see it's good now, yes? Yes?" No it wasn't good - large dull spot was still there but they would act like they couldn't see it. FAB finally simply stopped responding to me because they were sick of me and were unwilling to do what they needed to do to make this right, which was hire a restoration company to come in and properly polish the spot. I'll have to go to that expense myself now. I have a contractor that finished my basement and he has had customers with similar issues with FAB and has stopped recommending them. Even with the lower granite prices, I cannot recommend FAB either due to the inept and sloppy counter prep and install work. DO NOT USE FAB GRANITE! We are building our dream home and had them come in and install the granite for our entire house, BIG MISTAKE! They may be cheaper, but you get what you pay for. They do not measure properly, install properly or fabricate properly. Their workmanship is the WORST we have ever seen. They do not take ownership for their mistakes and love to argue with you. Very difficult to communicate with their installers. They did not properly install our island counter top causing it to lean forward and a piece of it cracked. Eventually the two pieces would of fallen causing injury to someone or expensive damage to the surrounding area. Instead of apologizing and fixing it they argued and they attempted to blame us (saying we leaned on it, seriously) then when that didn't work they blamed the builder. When we removed the piece to see how it was secured...they had only used a small bead of silicone. They eventually replaced the piece for the third time (first time they measured wrong). So now we have two pieces that do not match. There are also saw cuts in the granite that they attempted to fill, chipped edges that were filled and are an eye sore now. Edges are not smooth or straight, we have chips, cracks, rough spots, dull spots, etc. throughout the granite. We will never have FAB granite back into our home, therefore, we are forced to have another granite company come in (pay extra) just to fix what FAB granite should of done properly in the first place. If you love your home and take pride in it and like quality work then do not use FAB granite, if you do it will be a very unpleasant experience. read more
