I'm so glad there's a place dedicated to f45. Never again! The big lie and the unbelievable narcissism is too much, F45!

It was ok. Trainers were friendly. Studio itself was on the small side. Didn't appreciate the hard sell after the class.

The workouts are tough but the best thing is that they are ALWAYS different. It's never the same boring old routine. They recently got an infrared sauna too! Their class times align to people who work long hours in addition to people who don't work as you can attend the 6am or 7am classes ( that's where I'm at ) or the 12pm or 5:30pm classes. I enjoy this class so much more then I ever enjoyed Barre, Yoga or CrossFit. It's just a true combination of everything and that makes it so much more doable as it never gets boring. Random body parts are always sore. They also always provide alternatives if you have an injury. The class is super diverse. People of ALL ages and ALL weights. It's refreshing. You're not intimated but you're also motivated. Personal tip: If Lateef doesn't immediately respond to your email just email again. He's an actual owner hustler as he teaches so many of his classes and does a lot of personal training and he doesn't have an assistant so he juggles it all on his own. Fit Austin is totally worth it so don't get upset just send a follow up and he will respond. It's worth it!!!!

I have an unlimited membership for $150 a month where I can go every day to the gym. They have different packages and price points though. Some people have told me my package is expensive and if you are one of those people, rearrange your budget so that you can come to Fit Austin. Seriously, I love this place and you get your money's worth! The classes are 45 minutes with a warm up and cool down and they are intense (in a good way). They are small and the trainers are great! The classes are always different and work different parts of your body. You will never get bored with the classes here! It really is almost like personal training without the high budget. Although from the reviews here and what I have heard, Lateef and the rest of the trainers are amazing at personal training. I have to give a shout out to Lane LeBlanc who is currently a trainer there. She is super great, friendly, very encouraging and knowledgeable. I always look forward to any class with her! You have many time options every day for the classes and everyone there is friendly. They have bathrooms, a water bottle fill up station and showers if needed and a new sauna! If you are looking for a gym, don't look any further. Whether you need personal training or want to go to classes, this is the place for you!

Energy because...ok, keeping me motivated is difficult. Experience because a trainer must understand the body to get the most from a workout & compatibility because when I don't want to move, my trainer knows how to encourage and when I can't move, my trainer knows the difference- that is crucial. Little did I know at the outset Leila would bring it all around. Even better than I imagined. Embracing my flaws and focusing me on my goals. She exudes calm while guiding toward real progress. As I worked with Leila, I quickly realized she was multi-faceted. She could be a drill Sargent when my body called for it, an Empowering voice when my body needed more grace, and a freaking Therapist when I had to vent during a workout. The end result for me, working with Leila, is a spirit raised in energy and a body toned over 50! Leila you are a workout guru and I recommend everyone I know, looking for a real trainer, to you. Even with just a mat setup at the club's venue, I got an incredible workout, and that experience led me to start attending drop-in classes regularly, then upgraded to the membership. I noticed results very quickly, even after only a few classes. What stood out most was that I got both the great energy from instructors and studio design as well as the physical results from both the mat and Pilates classes. I've genuinely become hooked on Pilates, and I really appreciate Haus of B's holistic approach to wellness. From the Recovery Room with red light therapy and infrared sauna, to the variety of classes, sound bath events, booking upgrades with wellness products, and even massage offerings, this is the pilates studio of your dreams!

THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here once when my home gym didn't have any golds fit classes and Westlake had a golds fit class that fit into my schedule. Getting there is a bit of a trek for me since I live on the east side. Checking in is a breeze, amenities are what you typically find at a golds gym however this one does seem a bit outdated. There is a GGX, Golds fit, Golds burn, and the rest of the golds classes available as long as you sing up beforehand. Bathrooms are alright, there used to be a pool here but I believe all of pools were closed down after covid. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, one of the more outdated golds gym in the Austin area. Good community and decent weight/equipment options.

It has been a while since I have visited this location as it is somewhat out of the way for me. I had work appointment nearby, which made very convenient to visit. The attraction is that it is one of the nicer older Gold's gyms (not like the new state-of-the-art Gold's gym on Burnet Road). The gym has ample cardio machines, resistance equipment, fitness classes and cross-fit room. I was at the Westlake location mainly for a fitness class and to work out on the machines. I especially like that the location is clean especially the women showers and restroom. In addition, it is a fairly large gym with extended hours (for the early birds and the late-night folks): Monday-Friday 5:00 AM - 11:00 PM Saturday 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM Sunday 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM Gold's Gym Westlake front desk staff were cordial and helpful during my visit. When I am in that part of the city, I will consider stopping by again.

For those who may not be familiar with Matt Pilates, it is a low-impact, floor-based exercise using the equivalent of a Yoga matt. It focuses on core strength, posture, flexibility, and controlled breathing. Matt Pilates differs from Reformer Pilates, which uses spring-loaded machines aka as reformers. Matt Pilates relies on your body weight and gravity for resistance. Most big box gyms offers Matt pilates, whereas Reformer Pilates usually occur at Pilates studios or higher end gym locations. A Pilates Reformer can easily cost $200-$250+ per month. Many movie stars like Gwenth Paltrow and Dakota Johnson swear by Reformer Pilates. I have only done a trial membership with Reformer Pilates. Matt Pilates is very affordable and usually included in your gym membership, making it cost-effective. After my Matt Pilates class I was so Zen, I felt like taking a nap. However, after hitting the ignition key, I left my Zen state.

Not sure why it's so hard to fix things. The cable machine has been broken well over 50 days. And counting. Also, the people who open the club on the weekends are consistently late. In fact, I'm writing this on the parking lot waiting for the gym to open - should have opened 10 minutes ago. A few weeks ago someone strolled in around 8:17 when it should have opened at 8. This started out so promising. What happened?
