I have been struggling with my weight for years. Throughout the past decade I've gone through ups…read moreand downs and have never once enjoyed working out or being healthy. It has always been a chore, and has been the issue of many of arguments with the wife over my fitness. My brother-in-law suggested that I give this place a shot, as it was different from the regular gym and fitness class routines that I'd been going through over the years. I decided to give it a go, as our 10 year anniversary was coming up, so I once again decided to begrudgingly try and workout again and get into shape. After starting up my first class, I thought to myself, "This is NOT for me!!" Everyone in the class was somehow able to do these insane workouts, and I was practically passed out on the floor! The flow of the workout encourages constant working out and that was just not my style! I was more of the 'how about I do 10 reps and we call it good' mindset. I somehow survived the first class and wasn't sure what to think. Not wanting to disappoint my wife again, I decided to stick with it and went to another couple classes that same week. I was one week in, had gone to 3 classes and I'd had enough. This is great and all, but obviously not for people who are as out of shape as I am! They had me go in for a body scan which informed me that I'm basically 100 pounds over obese. Maybe I should just throw in the towel and stick to something easier. Here is the crazy thing, though. The owner of this location is unlike anyone I'd ever worked with before. It wasn't the typical beefcake meathead that is so common every gym you go to. He was actually genuinely caring and made the time to adjust the workouts so that I could make it through the full 45 minutes. All of the sudden, I was feeling more and more welcomed - not only be the trainers and owner, but the entire group is so unbelievably supportive and there is a strange feeling of comradery there. Everyone is so encouraging and there to lift you up. So...here it is, two weeks later since that initial first week. YES, only TWO WEEKS later and I cannot believe the person I am right now! I am actually waking up early in the morning EXCITED to hit up a class (if there is one thing I love as much as food, it's sleeping in as late as possible, so you understand what I'm saying!), and find myself thinking about the next class I'm going to attend. This is completely foreign to me and I can't believe that someone like me could actually LOOK FORWARD to a workout! Not only is the change of mindset an amazing thing, you would not believe the results I am seeing! Since my start a little less than 3 weeks ago, I've lost 11 pounds, went down a pant size and am having unbelievably more energy! In fact, yesterday I was actually able to complete TWO classes, when just two weeks ago I couldn't even make it through ONE! All of the sudden, I'm feeling great, I'm making healthy food choices by CHOICE, and not by obligation, and have regained a sense of hope that I thought was long gone. If you are anything like me, and have felt like there is no point, and it's time to just give up and accept the fact you will be out of shape, or unhealthy, I would strongly urge you to give this place a shot - and give it a fair shot! Remember, I was ready to throw in the towel and say 'screw this' after my first class. Go in, try it out for a couple weeks and see for yourself why everyone is raging about this place. In over 10 years, this is the first time I've actually enjoyed working out, and I highly recommend it!

Went for my first time today, best workout I've ever had! All the trainers helped push me, and made…read moreme feel so good about myself! I'll definitely be back!

I was burnt out with my gym and routine and not seeing the results I wanted. My friend told me…read moreabout F45, I watched some youtube videos and was instantly terrified. I had already signed up for the free trial at this point so I knew I had to suck it up and commit. I am so glad I did. My first workout was brutal, I won't lie. I was exhausted during the workout but felt incredibly charged after it was complete. Everyone was so kind and supportive the moment I entered, I love the community aspect it offers. I finished out my week trial and was hooked! I knew I had to sign up and see all that my body was capable of. The workouts are split between cardio days (M,W,F) and resistance days (T,TH,Sa) each class is 45 minutes of work with a warm-up and cool down. The trend started in Australia and quickly spread elsewhere, I understand why. It's such an awesome and supportive little community. I have been going for about a month now and I love seeing my strength mentally and physically increase. They have an app to sign up for classes and get a sneak peek at what is in store for you. If you sign up at one location you can visit others and try them out as well. I love this particular location, very clean, very supportive and the coaches are amazing! I dread every workout but leave feeling accomplished and energized (can't say I love them during.)

F45 started out in Australia and has slowly been making its way over to the States. The basic…read morepremise is 45 minutes of work broken down into smaller intervals as you rotate through stations with different movements/exercises. I absolutely love F45! Especially this location - it's brand new so it's super clean and the equipment is in perfect condition. The trainers are all wonderful and encouraging. They are super attentive in fixing your form and when needed are happy to provide alternative exercises or adjustments for those who can't safely perform the prescribed move. They always ask before class who has injuries. And they learn your name which to me is huge. I also love that they provide towels - which you'll need because you'll sweat like no other. Their location is shared with a dance studio and the bathrooms are downstairs. There aren't showers which is unfortunate but not a deal breaker for me. One thing I wish they did do (and hope they read my review and see this) is provide tampons in the bathroom for women. It's not necessary, it doesn't effect my review/rating, but is really something super simple that they can do for their members that takes very little effort but speaks volumes. I am not a runner and don't want to be on a treadmill, basically at all, so when I found out they don't have treadmills I was really excited. Even with the lack of treadmills my heart rate sky rockets and I get all the cardio I need. They have days devoted to cardio, days devoted to strength and them some that incorporate it all. The workouts are never the same and there's so much equipment that can be utilized in an seeming endless amount of ways that I can't imagine getting bored here. A few of my new favorites are box jumps (which I was terrified of the first time), battle ropes, and the sled, but you also have old favorites including rowers, dumbbells and barbells. They have different membership options including unlimited and twice a week. There might be a punch card but I'm not 100% sure. You are charged every two weeks and can cancel at any time which is nice. F45 is growing in popularity in the States and while the various locations are not linked like some of the other corporate gyms we've been told that you just need to inform the front desk if you're traveling and they will work it out with another location. There is a $10 cancelation fee if you cancel in the 8 hour window which I'm sure some people will complain about but it really helps me stay consistent and committed. There are also a few extras like DJs on certain Saturdays and their 8 week challenge. I'm super excited about all of it and would highly encourage you do give it a try.

I'm an older guy and I lost a lot of weight and got in really good shape. Thanks to Kelsey and a couple of the trainers there and their nutrition knowledge. They have a cool machine that not only weighs your but helps you find your body measurements and fat percentages etc. Great place - enjoyed my time there. I torn Achilles and that ended by HIIT training for a while.

I had high hopes but I'm incredibly disappointed. (Text conversation attached)…read more I signed up for the 6 week program ($399) based on the understanding that my money would be put towards paying the monthly fee at the end of the challenge, if I chose to continue with a membership. (We agreed on a discounted rate of $59 that would start after the challenge.) Turns out their employee explained it wrong and the upfront deposit does not go towards the monthly payment and they refuse to honor it. I'm 6' 2" and 190 lbs. My wife is about 130 pounds and 5 foot 4". Her goal was to LOSE weight and LOSE bodyfat. My goal was to gain weight. We were given the *exact* same nutritional meal plan with the exact same amounts to eat. So apparently it's few enough calories to help her lose weight but enough to make me gain weight?? Half way through the challenge, when I was losing weight instead of gaining, the advice was to "eat more". I really wanted this to be a great gym. I tried to talk through the misunderstandings with Clare and come to an agreement. At the end of the day, they are keeping the $399 because I didn't meet my goal of gaining weight... Poor communication, unprofessional, and the worst nutritional advice I've ever received. To be clear, I didn't cancel my membership. I'm continuing at the $59/rate because I like the trainers (and they're keeping my $399 either way) I have mostly worked out with Jason and Lexi and they are awesome!

F45 is a functional training gym that runs 45-minute workouts with high work-to-rest ratios (e.g.,…read more45 seconds work, 15 seconds rest, repeat). The workouts are programmed, so you follow the instructions given for each station, but the gym has plenty of equipment, so workouts change from day to day and don't get repetitive. Mondays & Wednesdays are cardio days (though you'll still have weighted exercises), Tuesday & Thursdays are strength days (think more weight and slower reps), and Fridays - Sundays are hybrid days (combo of strength + cardio). The workouts are very challenging and will have you gassed by the end, but they're only 45 minutes, and the coaches provide modifications, so you can power through! The equipment here is great and in good condition. This location recently opened a "Recovery Room" that offers massage guns, foam rollers, and compression boots to help your body relax and recover after tough workouts -- it's amazing! The only variable at F45 (which is probably true at most gyms) is the coach you have for your workouts. Tim (who coaches Mondays and Wednesdays) is super high energy, remembers your name, corrects your form, and will encourage and push you without being overbearing -- he's the best! Other coaches will walk around the room and help spot check your form on workouts, but won't provide much motivation. And at a couple of the workouts I've been to, the coaches have just stood and talked to each other (or people from the previous workout) for the full 45 minutes. To me, this last coaching style is unacceptable, and the one piece I wish I could change. Overall, I'm very happy with this gym and would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their physical health, especially those who have limited time to work out or don't know how/don't want to program their own workouts.

I love F45! I have been attending the training studio for several weeks now and I fell in love with…read morethe style and structure of the session activities. Each activity I s divided into a go-interval and a rest-interval, such as 45 seconds on and then 20 seconds of rest before going to the next activity. Those exercises are combined into groups, or "pods". For example: Pod A consists of 8 exercise activities which are 40 seconds on and 20 seconds rest. You go from activity to activity, then to the next pod. The structure helps drive you on, because everyone is moving with you, like an assembly line. Additionally, each week and day has a theme and is never quite the same. It doesn't get boring or repetitive. You will do both strength and cardio workouts, from dumbbells and pull ups to rowing and burpees. It is very tough but despite that, you feel motivated to do as much as you can (reasonably), because the interval time is presented on multiple screens (along with continuous video of a demonstration of each exercise) and you can see the proverbial finish line. All of the trainers at the Jordan Landing location are stellar, encouraging, and challenging, while giving alternative ways to perform each activity should you have certain injuries or other difficulties. Jazmin, the GM and super-coach, is awesome. She will always remind you to go at your pace, stressing that HIIT training may be tough, but it shouldn't make you sick, cause injury, or otherwise make your body feel like it will shut down. Finally, it's important to note that at F45, at least the Jordan Landing location, fitness and strength is key- not weight loss. It is about health more than other workout methods. When you come here, you are likely so see women of all ages who are strong and work hard, not who work to specifically shape their body or lose weight. The women I train with are average-sized, tough, and completely un-intimidating. If you come here regularly, you will appreciate your gains, self-confidence built through real, athletic strength, and have pride in your accomplishments. I highly recommend visiting F45 Jordan Landing!
