The workouts are as challenging as you want to make them. I like the warmups and the cooldowns. Clean bathrooms and just enough space where you don't feel crowded. They used to give cold towels after the workout and I'm sorry to see those have been eliminated. Please bring that nice touch back!! Shout out to trainers Macy, Miguel, Megan and Carly. You guys are great and make this place great!

I've been to many HIIT type gyms but not all satisfies me. Looking for a gym is like real estate…read moreshopping. Both have in common are price, location, amenities. For a gym, I also look for scehdule, cleaniless, routine and the people. Happy to say, I've been at F45 for 8 weeks now and became a member as they hit all of my must haves. It stands for Functional 45 where each class is only 45 minutes. It's almost robotic in a sense that everything is timed. From the demonstration to two minute warm up to the 45 minute work out. The timer is on each tv and each exercise in that station is displayed on specific tv's. There's also a heart monitor for purchase that tracks your activity. Must haves: 1) Schedule & Location: Rarely will you find a gym with 5am being the first class. Most gyms begin at 6am. 5am is perfect and the location is an added convenience for me to head straight to work. Safety is important because most circuit style gyms are in a random alley in a warehouse and their warm ups require a lap around the block. I would get paranoid being a female in the dark and I'm usually last. At F45, your warm ups are indoors. The gym has glass windows from floor to ceiling. It's brightly lit and shares a lot with the complex to only park in spaces marked "Retail Only". There isn't a lot so you'll need to park on the street or across the street in the Vons plaza. 2) Amenities & Cleanliness: There are two showers and it's first come, first serve by putting your name on the white board. No need to bring your own towels as they provide towels and at the end of each class, you'll get the nice cold aromatherapy scent towel as you cool down. I notice everything when it comes to cleanliness. For example, it's gross to see hair strand floating on the floor when you're breathing heavily in a plank or push-up position. Some gyms will require you to wipe down your equipment after each class which can be time consuming and waste in materials. I haven't seen it but I'm sure F45 has their own cleaning schedule because I have yet to witness anything floating on the floors or sticky equipment or yucky showers. So far the facility is clean. 3) Routine: I get bored easily which is why I tend to gym hop. Most gym dedicate a day to a certain body part which means, you'll get an imbalance of gender when women tends to come on leg days and men on upper days. Not at F45. All the workouts has been full body incorporated and you never know what you're in for. There are unique names for the daily workout like Mkatz, Abacus, Red Diamond, that has a description if it's cardio or weights. However, you won't know about the set up and transition which is one of the reasons why I keep coming back. I also love that all the equipment at each station are fully set up prior to each class so that it doesn't take up your time to set up. 4) The people: This includes the owner, coaches, and members. Everyone is legit super nice. You can tell when a gym gives off that selling and arrogant vibe but not here. They make you feel comfortable and super chilled. The coaches are always hands on to correct your form, or quick to lend a hand when they see you struggling, or assist in putting on the feet straps for the pull up bars. They even push you to your max potential but only because they know you're capable. I wouldn't sign up if I didn't like the people. 5) Price: You get what you pay for. I would say their price is comparable to all the other gyms out there. Each gym is independently own so there's always specials and Groupon deals. I would highly recommend a trial class to see for yourself!

My friend recommended it to me since I've been wanting to get back into strength training after giving birth a few months ago. The trainers are incredibly friendly and helpful, and help with form or any necessary modifications. I'd say about 10-20 people go per session and it's broken up into sections so at most you'd be with about 4-5 people in each circuit. I was intimidated at first but everyone is supportive and just on their own fitness journey. There are days that focus on lower body, upper body, or full body, with some cardio as well depending on if it is a "circuit" vs a "strong" class. There are many available times to go whether it is in the morning or evening. What's also a bonus is parking is not an issue since it is in a plaza. Highly recommend!

As someone who mostly does workout classes that don't involve wearing shoes, walking into Renegade…read morefor the first time was a little intimidating. But with the warm welcome from Coach Matty, I felt empowered to give it a try. The website does not do a great job of explaining the format, so here's what I experienced. The workout is split into three parts. Two strength based areas and one cardio tread. In the strength area, we engaged in things like deadlifts, curls, pull ups, etc. On the tread, we did a variety of intervaled runs with the section half being an option to either Tabata run or use the kettle bell to go between strength and floor core exercises. The coach cues each section and prompts you when to do what. Time flew by as you're constantly moving quickly from one exercise to another. I had a lot of fun and it was a really solid exercise. I left feeling stronger and sweatier! They offer first 3 classes free so you can give it a try!

I first came across Renegade on ClassPass and was so impressed with the experience that I decided…read moreto become a member. This gym offers a wide variety of bootcamp like classes with fantastic energy and some truly talented coaches. While there are a few who are overly egotistical and could use a come back to earth reality check and a touch more humility, the majority of the coaching staff is excellent. Two standouts are Gabrielle Y. and Christian Q., who make working out an absolute pleasure. Gabrielle's welcoming demeanor and contagious positivity create a great atmosphere, and Christian's coaching style is equally motivating and supportive. The classes themselves are high-energy, challenging, and adaptable to different fitness levels. What I love most is that each coach brings their unique style and energy to the table. Once you find the coach who resonate with you, it's easy to stick with them and stay consistent. The variety keeps things interesting, and you'll never get bored while working toward your fitness goals. One of the challenges, however, is parking. Since Lazy Acres put up signs claiming what feels like half the lot, finding a spot can be a headache. I've learned not to arrive too early because spots typically free up only once the previous class ends. While it can be frustrating to circle the lot, a little patience and timing go a long way. It's something to keep in mind when planning your visits. The gym itself could benefit from more regular cleaning and maintenance. A deep cleaning is definitely overdue, as dust, hair, and even cobwebs can be seen in corners. Some benches are rusty and could use replacing. While these issues don't take away from the quality of the workouts, they do detract from the overall experience. Many other gyms in the area have weekly professional cleaning services, which could be a great addition here to help maintain a fresher, more polished environment. Despite these minor drawbacks, Renegade remains a fantastic place to work out. The membership is reasonably priced, although ClassPass is still more affordable and offers lower price penalties for late cancellations. Overall, the quality of the classes and the dedication of standout coaches like Gabrielle and Christian make this gym worth checking out. If you're looking for a challenging yet welcoming environment to achieve your fitness goals, Renegade is a solid choice--just plan ahead for parking and connect with the coaches whose energy aligns with yours!
