I've been wanting to try f45 with trying to get my body back after having a child, we recently moved to la Quinta and finally got motivated to give it a try. I signed up for the trial for residence and after doing so I received a call from the manager, Tammy, who I quote was "pessimistic" weather I was a resident or not because I have not updated my ID. I told her I could bring closing documents from our home or a water bill to show that yes, I was and she was still rude. I ended the call with telling her I no longer wanted to move forward after speaking with her and she said she would terminated my trial. I understand the issue with the desert being a seasonal place, however, as a manager of a fitness place.. she was very unprofessional for the face of a studio. read more

F45 in La Quinta has a cheerful fitness trainer named Melissa Mathews who works there and teaches group exercise classes, intervals and circuit training. I met her at a gym in Palm Springs several years ago and she has been my personal trainer and instructor ever since. Melissa knows many different kinds of muscle building & core exercises and keeps very good track of my progress each week. She is amazing and is always on time and always centers her attention on what we are doing. It is very important for me to explain that back in 2017 I was diagnosed with a serious heart problem and I had to schedule open-heart surgery at the hospital in Rancho Mirage to fix it! When I told Melissa about my health crisis she was very supportive and quickly changed my routine to work on the muscles I would need the most during my six-week recovery period. It was really something to have her teach me coordination and balance exercises and work on my leg muscles so I could easily stand up from a chair without using my arms (Because of the healing surgical wound). She was very encouraging. And with the impending surgery still weeks away we both took it as sort of a unique challenge. A boot Camp for a hospital patient! During my recovery at home we stayed in touch and she kept abreast of how I was doing and when I would make it back to see her. I was pleased to tell her that those pre-surgery exercises all paid off and I had no trouble with getting up from sitting without using my arms and my balance was fine. After my recovery period at home and cardiac rehab class at the hospital was just about over I returned triumphantly to the gym where we basically had to test out all our old exercises one by one to make sure I was truly healed. She was so brave and tolerant and so very supportive. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to ask someone who recently had heart surgery to stretch, try sit ups or lift weights! She went above and beyond what I think would ever be expected of a personal trainer at a gym and I will be forever grateful to her for being there like that. So if you are looking for a special place to work out, do circuit training, intervals, ride bikes, pilates or simply lose fat and burn calories for weight loss, I fully recommend Melissa at F45. 4 members have now tested positive for COVID. The manager refuses to notify members and sent out an email saying, "1 person tested positive 10 days ago." So incredibly irresponsible and dangerous - members and the community are being put at risk. The owners of this facility are very unethical On Feb 14, 2022, I paid $1620 for a full year of unlimited classes. I attended nearly every day until the first week of May. My grandmother unexpectedly passed away on May 14 in Indiana. I went to be with my family and while there, decided to move back indefinitely to be closer to my family. There is no F45 in the area. On May 31, I finally had time to sort through my bills to disconnect from my Palm Desert rental. I contacted F45 and explained the situation. I didn't use it most of May m, but just requested a refund for the remaining months of the year from June 1 on. I was first told they would refund my card in two different payments in June and July. No refund. I followed up on July 5 and again on July 26. They said they would send a check. In August I finally received a check, but it was for less than half of the refund amount. I followed up again on August 13 and received no reply. Now I am in touch with an attorney to assist me in getting the remainder of the funds. I realize that you, the reader of this post, might enjoy the classes as I did -- but please think twice before selecting to pay these type of people for any service. It is unfortunate that people are just unethical. I do not like sharing this information publicly, but I just thought people should be aware of this business. read more

Well my first experience in going to a F45 Training was incredible. I needed something different to kick my butt. This was definitely a shock to your body then what your normally do. It was a great full body training plus heart pumping which is what all people need in life full body movement training for every day life. I enjoyed this functional fitness training & concept they teach. I totally recommended this to everyone. This is my kind of training with sorts of movement for your body to whip you into shape and keep you healthy. I want to thank Melissa Mathews she is one of the best trainers I know in the valley. I had been an f-45 Training La Quinta member for over a year and to be honest, it was one the best fitness experiences so far. I had never felt healthier, stronger and confident in myself than throughout the time I invested in myself while attending classes here. The class time lapse and the coaches are the perfect combination to successfully accomplish your fitness goals, whether it'd be from just gaining/improving flexibility to progressively building muscle/bulking up. In my personal experience, i looked forward to attending classes, at any session i signed up for throughout the day i knew there'd be a coach present to acknowledge me, encourage me and challenge me. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts with work I had to pause being an active member but i can assure you i left feeling stronger and with the tools to continue my fitness journey until i can return. This is the first time I have written a negative review on a company but I feel it is important to save others from joining this gym. I was living in La Quinta for the winter months and went to this gym for a couple months before I had a shoulder injury and had to put my membership on hold. I was continuing to be charged each month after this request. No one answers the phone when you call and there is a junior staff that works there during the day that doesn't have the authority to make account adjustments. Plus they are only open about 4 hours throughout the day at different times, so makes it difficult to reach anyone. Their voicemail box is always full when you call and there are no return text messages when prompted to do so. After numerous attempts to contact them I just wanted to cancel my membership because I was leaving soon for the season. I finally received a response from Bruce the owner apologizing and sharing that they have been going through a transition. This was 2 months ago and I'm still being charged each month and no response from Bruce since or anyone at the La Quinta location. It seems you can easily sign up to be a member here, but you can never leave. Be prepared to cancel your debit or credit card when you no longer want to be a member. Super frustrating and this has taken way too much of my time. There are many gyms in the area that have great memberships offers without this ongoing headache. Just don't do it! read more

I started at F45 La Quinta in late July, thinking it was just another gym and to do my free week and move on. I was surprised how wonderful and friendly the trainers are. Not only do they greet you with open arms but they make classes a new experience and fun every time.
