We're on vacation in the desert like normal people... except instead of sleeping in, we clocked our usual 3-hour gym shift because apparently routine workout doesn't take PTO!!! The EoS was absolutely packed... so packed we had to park in what felt like an unofficial "hope your car survives" dirt lot on the edge of civilization!! Nothing says relaxing getaway like hiking in from the sand dunes to hit leg day. Inside is your classic EoS experience. Cinema room so you can do cardio while pretending you're productive at a movie. Shark tank because... intimidation builds character? Cryo lounge and recovery room for when you realize 3 hours was an aggressive choice. Plenty of machines and racks, so no excuses!! Sauna was massive, which was great, but it could've been a little hotter. I mean, we're literally in the desert..... so, how are we not sweating like rotisserie chickens in there??? But hey, it got the job done. We showed up, we lifted, and we felt great afer. Can't complain!!! read more

Came in for a quick workout, and like most EOS locations, it was busy but not overwhelming. I was able to strategically get on the machines I wanted without much trouble. The vibe is pretty cool, with an outdoor space not sure if their is a pool and Jacuzzi. But They do have separate dry saunas and a movie theater, just like most locations. A quick heads-up, some gym rats can be good at hogging machines, so please be kind and courteous to others. Overall, it's a nice gym perfect for a quick workout session. read more

Got a phone call Sophia asking me to come in for a tour and free 7 day membership. I called her up and booked an appointment. She was busy and I'm now sitting with the general manager instead, no tour just straight to the desk to get me to join. Looks at my ID and says I'm not eligible because I've already had a free 7 day membership. I explained that was years ago and at a different facility. Sophia called me for the offer. I'm gonna say is if I was one of the owners of this location I would be disappointed like wholeheartedly, disappointed. The actual location doesn't meet expectations for what they advertise online. There is no swimming pool as they have a big section about having aquatic air section at that location. Gym layout is kind of a mess no separation very loud. Felt like you were kind of just struggling to get somewhere to stand . recovery room smelt terrible like you can buy some air freshener or open a window. It won't hurt your gym . It's been a month since my review and not much has changed. There is still pink slime on the mouth pieces of the water fountains. The men's lockers are still full of junk that people leave behind. They never clean out the lockers. It's been more than 3 months since I said something to front desk and nothing. I will say I have noticed them cleaning the parking a lot more and there seems to a cleaning staff member on the floor more. read more

The gym has so many members it's often very crowded and finding a parking space very difficult. The group classes are very good, but sometimes (during season) it's very crowded and for classes requiring equipment there is not enough. People are supposed to sign up, but many people who did not show up anyhow and overload the space. The training department is not a good value in my opinion. read more

This gym has 3 membership levels. The basic is $10/mo + $60/yr for a total of $180 per year. This is the best value. The mid tier plan is $25/mo + $60/yr, but for only $5 more per month, you get way more benefits. The mid tier plan only gets you basic access to all EōS gyms. The top tier plan comes with many benefits, but most are not available at this location. The only available benefits are the once a month evolt weigh in, but Nutrishop offers this for free. You also get access to the massage chairs, but you are limited to only 2 massages per day. There is 1 cryogenic chair and 1 heat treatment chair; both overheat often and take hours to cool down. You also get access to the tank where they have massage guns and Normatec Pro Legs (massage boots that you check in and out from the front desk). For the price difference between $180/yr and $420/yr, I prefer to get the basic membership and buy my own massage gun for home. This gym is way better than 24 Hour Fitness in Indio: there are no broken machines, the hand driers work, the sauna is clean, they have 8 Olympic Platforms compared to 2 at 24 Hour Fitness, and they are open 24 hours. The shower water here doesn't smell like chlorine like the showers at 24 Hour Fitness. There is no pool here, so the sauna doesn't smell like chlorine like the sauna at 24 Hour Fitness. There is no basketball court here, so you don't have to worry about people dribbling basketballs in the weight lifting areas. I highly recommend this gym. read more

I came in to cancel my personal training membership due to serious financial hardship. The front desk staff was polite and called the manager, Tyler. The interaction with Tyler was extremely disappointing. From the start, his demeanor was cold, dismissive, and unprofessional. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment of my situation, and no empathy--despite the fact that I was explaining a difficult financial position, which is not an easy conversation to have. I understand businesses have policies. That's not the issue. The issue is how I was treated. Tyler showed zero effort to help, offered no meaningful options, and didn't take any ownership of the situation. Even the one option he mentioned (freezing the account), he did not assist with. Instead, he directed me to a phone number/website and left me to deal with it on my own. To make matters worse, I was left standing the entire time while he spoke to me in a condescending, superior manner.This is not just poor customer service--it's a lack of basic human decency in a sensitive situation.I hope management takes this seriously. I recently switched my special needs daughters 'home gym' from palm desert to this Indio location so I could help her get a woman PT. The transition went so smoothly with the help of the Fitness Manager named Aylin. Not only was she able to switch over my information but I didn't have to repay the whole annual fee , it was simply just switched over which I truly appreciated! She's been so helpful ever since with all of my questions and even helped my daughter and I get on a family plan called "sweat squad" which basically gives you more bang for your buck !! I highly recommend going and asking for her specifically. All an all , this is gym is amazing ! Do not join Eos in Indio. If you hurt yourself they want a note from the doctor in order to freeze your trainer for longer than a month. In order to cancel your gym membership you have to wait a month from notice for them to stop charging you for your membership. I am a silver sneaker member meaning above age 65. If you hurt yourself they treat you like a child where you need a notice from your doctor to freeze your membership when you get hurt. That is their corporate policy which is ridicules. Don't ever go there. There are so many other gyms that make injury problems or quitting the gym much easier. Don't go here they steal your money read more

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF JOINING, DONT! They offer you a free trial membership and if you cancel, they proceed to charge you. I signed up for the free trial membership. In order to do so, I had to provide future payment information. I went to the gym ONCE. I was told in order to book classes, I could only do so on the app. I tried to book classes and the app did not work. They would not let me book classes by phone. I then asked to cancel my membership. I was directed to the app. I executed the cancellation on the app. The next month I got billed. Management acknowledged that the app was not properly functioning. They refuse to waive the outstanding dues, due to their app not functioning and properly confirming the cancelation. They blame this on the customer. Terrible management and fraudulent business practices. Beware! read more

The subscription policy is misleading. If you want to try all the available features of the room, you need to subscribe to the maximum subscription for $ 30. However, if you want to switch to the regular plan because you do not need all the additional features offered, you will be forced to pay a downgrade fee of $ 49. This looks more like a scam than a friendly service. When I registered at the club, the manager told me that if I didn't like the plan, I could change it, and he kept quiet about the commission. P.s. We wanted to sign up for a membership and did research online but details were a bit vague if they had a pool. I thought it would be quick question but before they could just tell me yes or no they needed contact information. Then they put me on hold and were aggressive about getting me to a sales rep to just answer that simple question. Competitor gym websites list their amenities which makes us much more inclined to go elsewhere. They were so aggressive about not speaking to us as people but as a sale it completely ruined our perception of this chain. read more

They made a mistake on our daughter's membership, told us we had to go to the Palm Desert location because their system wasn't up and running to fix it. We went to the Palm Desert location, not only did they defer us back to the Indio location they let us know it would be $50.00 to fix their mistake. Upon returning to the Indio location, the manager couldn't care less they made the mistake and was going to once again charge us as he had to cancel and generate a new membership to fix their mistake. Because of this, I asked him to cancel my membership, he told me to do it on the App. Once the hype of this new place wears off, they'll be just another mismanaged corporate gym like the rest of them. POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES-Went to Indio location to put my account on hold for 3 mos (gonna be out of town).The rep at the front desk took my number and assured me she would notate my account and place the account on hold. 2 mos later I notice the charge on my bank statement. I follow the option on the app to request a hold and reimbursement. Now they can see how many days a week I go and they can see that I stopped. No refund but my accounts on hold now. I got a membership at the Palm desert gym with anticipation of the new Indio location opening! The staff at both locations were always very friendly and welcoming! Very pleased with how they interact with members and always willing to help. Now that the Indio location is open I've been enjoying the new facility! It beyond exceeded my expectation. It truly is an awesome place. The energy and atmosphere is a joy to put in the work! We go consistently and get to know faces of the employees! I have been a member of EOS for over 8 years now starting in San Diego. I currently go to the Palm Desert EOS.. I am so excited for this new and beautiful center. I love all the new rooms you are adding. With that said , I completely understand in our market today how construction, product availability, and finishing touches can take time. I think it's priceless that people talk about how it is taking when they probably have never dealt with giant construction projects. I have always loved the people working at EOS .. Especially some of the most amazing instructors for Body Pump, Cycle, body combat.. that are all so fun!! Gym is nice and equipment is too.. Customer service could use some work. I expressed I was not interested in a tour. That I will sign up as I already did my homework and it's not needed I I'll become a member. Still forced to do a two hour tour with the whole "how about a personal trainer" even tho I expressed multiple times during the tour. I don't want a tour or a trainer. After signing up for the top membership and the $10 a month for unlimited towels. First day at the gym membership works but towels have been removed from my account. And cannot be added. She said manager can hell hut I'll have to come back. I asked if a manager could just call me.m and that seemed like an out of line request. Temperature can stay cool and needs to but the vents and fans need to be much less strong so that we can workout healthy . I've been coming to this gym for a while, and I've never felt the need to complain -- until now. Unfortunately, one of the staff members, Soph, has been consistently rude and unprofessional during my visits. Whether it's ignoring members when they ask for help or speaking in a disrespectful tone, it creates a really uncomfortable environment. A gym should be a supportive space, but that's hard to feel when staff are dismissive and unapproachable. Lianne C for Body pump Thursday morning at 8:15am is a must. All the body pump classes are great but Lianne classes is AMAZING. She always comes early and prepare the class , she pushes you and makes sure ur forms are good . The work outs are killer, but the tracks are so much fun to listening to. I attended the Tuesday Morning BodyPump class by LeAnn. She also teaches Sunday Morning at the Palm Desert Location. She is worth the gym membership. I am a fit senior ( OMG that makes me sound so old) but not a regular user of weights. Her class tones full body for all levels ( she will coach you on heavier or lighter weights) and explains body mechanics as she instructs with her high energy personality. It is not intimidating and for all levels - most attendees are more experienced and stronger than I but as a novice I can go at my own pace. Leann is a star. Thank you read more

To all fellow parents who utilize the Kids' Club at EOS Fitness in La Quinta -- I feel it's important to share this information, as multiple members, including myself, have raised concerns with both on-site management and corporate, with little to no meaningful response. I have since canceled my membership due to the lack of accountability. The individual currently managing the Kids' Club, Samantha Spears, has recently been charged with possession of narcotics, transportation/sale of narcotics, and driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs -- all within the past 60 days. Additionally, she reportedly has open Child Protective Services (CPS) cases, yet continues to remain in a supervisory role over children, including her own and those of other gym members. As a parent, this is deeply concerning. One would expect a company like EOS Fitness to conduct thorough background checks and act swiftly when serious allegations arise -- especially for positions that involve direct responsibility for children. At this time, despite repeated inquiries, EOS has only stated the matter is "under investigation," and she continues to be present in the Kids' Club. I share this not to incite alarm, but out of a sincere desire to inform other parents who, like me, would want to know who is caring for their children.
