Things didn't get off to the best start. The website said the first visit was free, but when I arrived, I was told I didn't qualify because my driver's license was still tied to Los Angeles. I had just moved to Palm Desert and hadn't updated it yet. I let it go because I was planning to sign up anyway. I joined during a promotion and was told my membership would be $23/month with a one-time $1 enrollment fee. I noticed the contract also mentioned $50, so I asked about it. The employee told me it didn't apply to me because I was signing up under the promotion. Two weeks later, I was charged $73. When I asked about it, I was told it was the annual maintenance fee. So there are actually are three different charges: the monthly fee, the annual fee, and the enrollment fee. I wasn't upset about the fee itself - I was disappointed because it hadn't been explained correctly. I continued going mainly to the Palm Desert location for the next two years. The biggest issue is how crowded it gets. Finding parking is almost always difficult, especially in the morning and during the day, and you'll probably end up waiting for several machines. Another downside is that equipment breaks fairly often, and some machines stay out of service for weeks or even months before they're repaired. That said, I do want to give credit where it's due. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming, and they've recently added new equipment, which is nice to see. More recently, my membership went from $23 to $25 per month. It's not not a huge increase, but it was disappointing because I was originally told my promotional rate would stay the same. In the end, the biggest reason I'm leaving is simply that it's become too crowded for me to get a good workout during the hours I can go. One more thing to be aware of: when you cancel, you'll still be charged for one more month because they require 30 days' notice. I wish that had been made clearer from the beginning. I'm grateful to the staff and appreciate the past two years, but it's time for me to find a gym that better fits my schedule and needs.

I called Friday, and was told that the open gym hours for Saturday are from 2-6 PM. I called Saturday and was told that the open gym actually closes at 2:00 PM. The inconsistency of the info made it difficult to plan for a friends bachelor party weekend. If anyone is planning to play here, I'd encourage asking for utmost clarity and calling each day for certainty.

This gym is more low-key given the location, so it is never crowded and always has machines available. Most of the time I've been there, I only see maybe 2 to 3 people at most. Has plenty of bathrooms and showers and many weights to lift. It also has lockers you can use with keys so you can lock up your stuff, which is great. Usually after driving from Arizona to Los Angeles, I pass by here. I change; I even shower and tidy up after a gym session to go home smelling fresh. Honestly love this location; wish we had more like this.

Paula has a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system. Which is critical - The last thing I want to do is train wrong and do more damage. Initially, I began training with Paula because of a rotator cuff injury. Paula 's knowledge of anatomy and how the body builds and heals muscles is above and beyond what I expected. ( Experienced she gained from Dental School) I no longer have any issues with my shoulder and still, train with Paula three days a week. Both inside and outside of her studio. Every session with Paula is different, working different parts of the body in the most innovative and fun workouts ever. Yes, they are fun, but also intense, I often have a pleasant soreness after our workouts, but have never been injured from pushing myself hard. Her methods involve weights, stretches, yoga, a little bit of everything, they are very effective. She allows me to push myself further than I would typically my gains have been impressive. Especially when old friends I haven't seen in a long while notice. Recently I attended a "Bootcamp" type training session at another gym just for fun, but without Paula and Karissa's watchful eye and guidance on correct form (her mantra) I injured my knee :-( Mea culpa, won't do that again! Go now while you can still get in! They are THAT good! Most importantly her gym is spotless and has most everything needed for training. It is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. I really liked the personal space/attention. It is nothing like a big gym with all the noise and tons of people. I like how the classes are divided up so on one day the focus is on glutes, next day shoulder, etc. The people that come to this small gym are good too. I don't like big crowded gyms. This place is small but has everything I need. A lot of great equipments for us to use, things I that never used before, sort of boot camp like. Monthly rates are reasonable too. If you are looking for a lifetime commitment to change and get fit, definitely try here. After 2 visits, I realized this is the right place. You can sign up to work out 1, 2, 3, or more times a week. There is also a free Sat AM class. I only wish I had more time to go. Great people and place.

I then spoke with a member who agreed to bring me in and returned to complete check-in. At that point, I was told I could not enter due to the nature of my relationship with the member, which directly contradicted the earlier instruction I was given at the front desk. When I asked for clarification on the correct guest access policy, the interaction escalated. The staff member (Anton) raised his voice in front of other members, refused to allow me to speak with anyone else, stated I could not enter, and said that police would be called. Police were called and arrived on site. During the interaction, the staff member continually made unprofessional comments such as "go do pushups in the parking lot," which was unnecessary given the situation. Overall, the experience involved inconsistent instructions, unclear enforcement of guest policy, and an unnecessary escalation of what should have been a straightforward guest check-in. I felt personally discriminated against and would not recommend this gym to anyone.

On 9/5/2026, Katleyn reached out to me regarding a free week of workout classes, and I was specifically told that the week would be free of charge. I showed up for my class at 5:00 AM on 9/7/2026, only to be told that I would be charged because the promotion on the free week of workout classes had supposedly ended on 8/31/2026. After my workout, I spoke with Kristen, who told me that she would refund the charge and still honor the free week that I had originally been offered. Later, at 10:27 AM, Kristen called me and told me that they could no longer issue the refund. After going back and forth about the situation, Amy, the owner, got on the phone. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Amy yelled at me over the phone and repeatedly told me that no refund would be issued. What was most upsetting was a comment Amy made to me: "You don't go to Lululemon and negotiate prices. This isn't Tijuana." That comment was completely inappropriate, racist and discriminatory. There was absolutely no reason to bring Tijuana or ethnicity into a conversation about a gym promotion and a refund. Amy, here is some advice: 1)Never yell at a customer. It is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable, especially coming from the owner of a business. 2)Keep racist or discriminatory comments out of customer interactions. There is simply no place for comments like that. 3)Make sure your employees have accurate information about promotions before contacting customers. I was contacted about a free week, showed up expecting the offer to be honored, and then received completely different information from different employees. I truly would not have written this review if the situation had simply been about a misunderstanding regarding a promotion. Mistakes happen. What made this situation much more serious was the way I was treated and, most importantly, the inappropriate comment made by the owner. Very disappointed with the way this was handled
