An entire gym upstairs downstairs filled with people that's hot, humid, and they leave the door open for 12 people??? The door is always left open during a fitness class for an hour, even during the Texas summer when outdoor air quality is poor due to Mexico smoke and African dust. Keeping the door open allows hot, humid outside air to circulate through the gym, making workouts less comfortable and, in my experience, bringing outdoor air into the facility. I politely asked the staff if they could keep the door closed, but my request was swiftly and rudely declined. It seems like a simple change that could help maintain a cooler, more comfortable indoor environment while reducing the amount of outside air entering the gym during poor air quality events. -DIRTY GYM -RUDE MANAGING -HOT, HUMID AIR I want CORPORATE to change this practice and put members' comfort first since the MANAGER refuses. Crunch fitness is opening up out here so I will see what the air temperature control protocol is there.

Before joining, my routine was all cardio with zero strength training. Watching my mom decline in her 70s was a wake-up call; I realized I needed to build real strength and stay functional as I age. When I started, I was weak, but now I'm dramatically stronger, move with better ease and confidence, and even look and feel better overall. The trainers here are outstanding--each brings their own unique style, which keeps every session fresh and exciting. You might have to circle a bit to find parking, but it's not bad at all considering how many shops and businesses are right next door. If you happen to have kiddos joining you, the studio offers to watch them in a designated indoor play space while you get your barre on (schedule permitting). Compared to other barre3 studios that I've tried in the past, the classes at this location feel like a much better workout. The movements are more comprehensive, more challenging, and will definitely work you out no matter your fitness level. I love the variety of hand weights and resistance bands that are used, and how every exercise can be modified to meet your body's needs. I take classes more frequently with Chris and Sheila, and both ladies are wonderful. My only wish is that they had more classes earlier and later in the day!

This place is more than fitness. It's family! When I started almost 3 years ago, I had never touched a barbell. The Fundamentals Program does a great job building a foundation for safety and growth. The coaches are experts at scaling any workout to challenge you at your current fitness level. The gym has a ton of space and plenty of equipment that is well maintained. The programming cycles include a lot of variety in movement and always have a specific focus in mind. This is a great place to grow and get fit!

I've been seeing Kyler Brown and Jordan Pellien and the other awesome doctors at Austin Sports Therapy for about 3 years for my back injury, but never considered working out at the gym RIGHT THERE. The coaches push me but also have insight into my back issues bc they've talked to the doctors and know what modifications to give me. They pay attention and guide me through the group workouts. The only negatives are that the gym is full of HS football players at 5 pm, and there are no classes on Sundays.

This is not a typical membership gym setup, it's setup for classes. Classes: this was not a positive experience. I came in for a trial class and was given a great workout by Dan. The next time I came in I had a different trainer and she was negative and unfriendly. Then, my next 3 workouts at this facility were ALL the SAME! So, within 10 days time and 4 classes later I had done pushups, sandbell slams, lunges, and squats in every single workout with a few other exercises mixed in. The same muscles were being worked and getting quite fatigued. The workouts lacked variety and it seemed the trainers were just facilitators and not designing the workouts. They explained to me that their workouts stay the same for an entire month, which is not conducive to developing all ten fitness components nor injury prevention. I was never asked about injuries or if I needed to modify by any of the trainers. I will say, while there was hardly ever anyone at the front desk, a couple of trainers remembered my name (except for the one unfriendly trainer) and engaged me in conversation while I was walking around during my visits. The general manager was great about listening to my concerns and admitted that they're a new business in every sense. For the money, you can get much better service and customized workouts at other places. I ended up getting my money back for my month trial after trying 5-6 classes. I've had several trainers and coaches in my fitness career, so I have high standards. Beginners may find these classes to be challenging and correct, but I think those that are experienced will find the holes in their programming. Luckily, I've found the workout spot I was looking for, it's just not at Train for the Game.
