Hotworx is a unique kind of gym. There are saunas you book out for various workouts - HIIT (Cycle/Row/Blast), and ISO workouts like Yoga, stretch, barre, etc. This is not a typical sauna though, it's infrared, so offers a lot of health benefits in addition to making you SWEAT! You can access the gym any time of day and night with your membership as well. In addition to the saunas, this particular location has a nice functional weight room, along with a few cable machines. The best part is this gym is never crowded so you're not fighting with others to use the equipment. If you are looking for a new kind of workout, def check em out for a free class!

That being said the men's locker room consistently seems dirty and always smells awful. I pay for a premium membership to have access to things other than just gym equipment. The thing that really bothers me is that I haven't dealt with at any other gym is that there are no scanners for access to things like pool area and basketball court. Pretty sick of waiting in line to use the sauna and it seems every time I go to the basketball court there is 20 to 30 people in there running full court games. If they add key scanners to amenities that cost extra this wouldn't be an issue and those of us who actually pay extra would be a lot happier

Serious safety issue - my mom was wrongfully towed during a class…read more I'm writing as a concerned daughter, not just a reviewer. My mom is a paying member at this VASA location. While she was inside a scheduled yoga class, her car was wrongfully towed from the parking lot. She came out of class genuinely believing her car had been stolen. No call. No page that reached her class. No warning. She was effectively stranded. After a long and upsetting interaction with management, it was admitted that: * The tow was requested by the gym * The wrong car was towed * The car that actually caused the issue was not towed * Management initially denied involvement and blamed the towing company * My mom was forced to pay $309 to retrieve her vehicle This isn't just an inconvenience - it's a safety issue. You cannot tow a member's car without proper verification, clear communication, or accountability, especially when that person is actively inside your facility and unreachable by design. The parking lot is poorly marked, lacks clear lines, and appears to be a known issue - yet members are punished for it. The handling afterward was defensive, misleading, and unacceptable. I would strongly urge anyone considering this gym to think about how issues are handled when something goes wrong, because this experience showed a complete lack of responsibility and concern for member safety.

Do you know what I learned at Core and More Fitness?…read more Working out doesn't have to suck. I've never been a fitness/sports buff and probably never will be, but Amanda (the owner at Core and More) is so awesome, it's hard to remember why I used to dread working out. Oh wait I remember. It was because I never knew how to use equipment properly. And I didn't feel ultra-confident about a packed gym watching me try to gracefully make my way through a circuit on machines I was almost certainly using the wrong way. But I don't have the cash for a personal trainer. Nor do I have the funds (or space) to incorporate bulky exercise equipment at my house. I would have been happy to use these (valid) excuses forever, but a persistent friend made me check out something new. Core and More is my saving grace because it combines the best of both worlds - I can work out with a small group of people under the supervision of a certified personal trainer who will make sure I'm doing it right. BRILLIANT! Sigh...no more excuses. They offer a lot at Core and More - one-on-one personal training, group rates, 'workout with a buddy' sessions - it's really a matter of finding out what works best for you. Personally, I find the group training sessions most effective and convenient. The rates are beyond reasonable, the equipment is top-notch and with Amanda's instruction I know I'm doing the right exercises that will help me reach my goals.

There was a male trainer there that was loud and boisterous and made for a stressful training situation- however since he is no longer there, things are much more relaxed and enjoyable. I love training at Core and More Fitness either in a group or one on one. Oh-the variety of equipment available is excellent, and the trainers working out of this studio (both male and female) are second to none. Try Core And More-WAY better than a big box situation!

I kept driving by Base 6 and decided to give them a-go since I like HIIT classes and I workout better in group classes than alone. It's been almost a year since I've been going to Base 6. The classes offer a lot of variety. You are able to push yourself as much as you want or take it easy if you're having an off-day. I am probably one of the least coordinated people and I never feel embarrassed when the entire class is working out on their left side and I'm on my right b/c I can't follow direction. The coaches are very knowledgeable regarding the exercises and correct your form when needed. They also try to push me but know when to back off when I give them the stank eye. The class formats can sometimes be a little hard to follow, but the coaches offer great direction and explanation of the format. The owner, Brian, does a good job keeping the routine engaging and fun. There are always themed classes around the holidays and group challenges. There are familiar faces any time I show up to work out which makes you feel like a small part of a community. Even if you're afraid of HIIT- like classes, give them a shot, you may enjoy it.

Ty created customized workouts (and continues to do so) that are tailored specifically to me and my goals. He starts out with a consultation to go over your BMI, macros, etc to ensure he knows how to make a customized plan thats right for you. I came to him with specific goals and he helped me reach them successfully and feel confident in my workouts and my form. Im tall, so "one stance doesn't fit all" and he taught me that which immensely improved my workouts and my low back and knee pain. Through COVID, Ty navigated the rules and regulations perfectly - helping me virtually stay on top of my fitness and also making sure my mental health through lockdown wasn't on the decline. Fitness is a health change and that touches all parts of health, which Ty recognizes and works with you on. When I've needed to take breaks or my hip flairs up - Ty helped to customize our workouts and work physical therapy into our session. I have recommended Ty to all my friends and peers, not only is he an incredible trainer but an all around incredible person who not only helped me with my fitness goals but also settling into a new state!
