I'm not entirely sure how I'm so hard on my hands, but a manicure on my ten digits usually lasts about a day. Read: complete and total waste of money. But for a vaca splurge, I decided to get one anyway. At least my tips and toes would be pretty for 24 hours of travel time. A week later, the manicure is going strong. Whatever they lacquered my paws with, bravo. In addition to their industrial strength polish jobs, they have a brilliantly hypnotic fish tank and some seriously sweet massage chairs. I stopped by this place a little bit after opening. I needed my nails reshaped if possible and eyebrow waxing. I was thinking of maybe a pedi too if suggested. When I walked in there were no customers, and everyone was lounging around. Someone asked me what I needed. First, I told her about my nails and but the other things I needed was immediately tuned out when she called someone else to look. And then this person called another tech. Finally, he told me to have a seat in the chair. I can tell he was annoyed so I tried to make conversation with him. I asked him if I was the first customer and he immediately snapped back at me and said " I don't know I just got here." At that point I decided not to say much. I noticed the horrible job he was doing on my nails but still tried not to get dis encouraged. After he was finished I was trying to tell him the other things I wanted done but he ignored me. He kept walking to the counter so I could pay. I really could not believe the horrible customer service rendered at this place. Plus, I had to go to another salon immediately to fix my nails. Honestly one of the worst pedicures I've ever received.... service was subpar for such a pricey salon. My phone was also dropped by the nail technician who did my pedicure as she rushed to get me out of the pedicure chair!! Awesome right? Yah no my screen cracked and all she could offer me was a lousy "sorry". Idk if this is how they treat all first time customers but I won't be back, I'm not even sure how this place got as many good reviews as it has (which is partially one of the reasons I decided to give them a try). read more

I went in for a simple toe nail fix as my toe was chipped and a polish change. They treated me like trash. The nail tech lady painted over the original polish I had on and thought that was ok. I could have done that at home myself. Then she thought she was gonna get paid and get a tip? Not from me that is unacceptable and I will never go here again. Been going here for a few years now - always excellent! The salon is clean and comfortable, with some of the best massage chairs in town. The technicians always remember me and my nail preferences. They're also super friendly and have excellent massage techniques. The services are a good value, too - I always get the deluxe pedicure with paraffin and a French, and, before tip, it's about $60. read more

Been going here for a couple of months. So impressed with my last manicure. My biggest pet peeve with shellac manicures is getting the polish on my cuticles and making it look sloppy. Michelle took time to make sure the polish was just perfect. Best shellac manicure I've ever had. I'm very picky about my nails. I always call ahead like an hour and let them know I'm on my way, and they have me seated as soon as I walk in the door. read more

Horrible. First time getting my nails done...my friend and I both came in. She wanted a mani and a pedi and I asked for the same as I've never gotten one before. The service wasn't bad. I'm giving a bad review because they ripped me off. After getting a pedi, they separated us and the lady who was working on me asked me to pay before I get my mani. She ended up charging me TEN dollars more than my friend when I requested the same services as her. I confronted her and she said that she didn't know anything about it which is a LIE. I didn't know better and actually gave her a $10 tip since I paid before my mani and my friend paid after. The guy even tried to get me to pay again and didn't believe I had already paid! It wasn't after that my friend said it was pricey as she was charged $44 for basic mani and pedi whereas I was charged $54 ($64 including tip). NEVER AGAIN. I don't mind paying but I do not enjoy being taken advantage of. read more

I tried out this salon for the first time today, and I was impressed. It had a very high-end spa feel to it, but without the high-end prices. The decor was fresh and modern, the spa chairs were comfortable, and they had a decent color selection. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and they did a great job. And the overall price was way cheaper than expected. I just got a regular mani/pedi. I didn't get shellac or gel, so I can't speak to that, but I will most definitely become a regular there. read more

This review is in particular for the young guy with hair pulled back that did my lame manicure this weekend. The edges of my manicure are unevenly covered by the top coat that has led my manicure to look like I did it!!! It's crappy for the money I paid!! I drove there from Katy because I usually get a good experience. I knew I should have said something right there and then, but I'm usually too nice and I thought it wouldn't be a big deal... Well it isn't if you are not using you hands but as soon as you do anything the chipping and discoloration begins because it wasn't coated well. He needs to be retrained on how to properly do shellac manicures and slow down to do a good job and not half ass his work!! I don't know if I will return since I made a significant drive to a place that used to be worth it. You can argue that it was one bad experience, but what makes a place great & valuable is when all the employees give you the same quality service which they failed to do!!! read more

The quality of my $50 dipping powder manicure was HORRIBLE, I had to ask the lady who did my manicure to fix multiple nails because she didn't polish the whole nail, she left the hardened dipping powder all of my skin, and left ridges and bumps in the nail color. She shaved my nails down until it was painful after I asked her to stop multiple times. 4 days later, 3 nails chipped and others were crumbling around the edges, so against my better judgment, I went back and they "fixed" the 3 chipped nails. To get the remaining polish off, they used a fake nail and wedged it between the chipped polish and my real nail to rip it off. I told them how painful that was and they told me to deal with it. They also used the WRONG color. I told them on the spot it wasn't the right color and they insisted it was and finished the nails anyways. Once they were down, it was obvious I had 3 nails of a different color but at that point I had wasted enough time and pain so I left and I will never go back. This was the most unprofessional experience I've had with getting a manicure. read more

On venturing out from my usual nail salon, Parkview Nails on Studemont, I'm now trying Nailtime. My first time to Nailtime on Yale, in the same shopping strip as Walmart. On walking in, I think, nice salon. As I'm looking at nail colors, I'm realizing wow, they don't really have anything I'm in the mood for at the moment. I've been into fluorescent colors. After too long of deciding, I finally decide on a color and sit down at a very nice massage chair. My girl is very nice and friendly. Overall great service, but limited on nail colors, at least in my opinion. It's pretty slow inside as well, so you get pretty quick service. read more

Lisa is very knowledgeable and politely answered my millions of questions without hesitation. The products she suggested that I purchased seems to be working perfectly. What I especially appreciated is 1. She only made suggestions on products she felt was most needed yet she didn't pressure me to buy anything & 2. She contacted me to following day to know how my skin was doing. That's excellent service! I've had acne since my early 20s and have tried everything from Proactive to Accutane. Yes! Go here! I just moved to The Heights. I needed a nail place weeks ago. On a Tuesday night, I finally had time. I walked in and was immediately greeted. Within seconds, Peter whisked me a spotless nail station. Spotless. No sign of dust. Floors were clean. The station itself was more than wiped down. Peter immediately began asking great questions about the type of nail service I liked. He graciously offered prices and allowed me time to make a decision. At 5:40 pm I chose to get a new set and shellac. We talked shaped. I selected "coffin." Peter went right to work. He asked for my feedback every step of the way. From the thickness of the acrylic to the shape of all 10 nails. The salon closed at 7pm that day. I was comfortable with two coats of shellac. Peter insisted on three. He said it would look better. He was right. My service needed with cuticle oil and a hot towel. All supplies used on my nails were new. The drill was clean. He even brushed it down during my service. New towels were brought out multiple times. I will be back. Yes! Go here! read more

Lisa does an absolutely fantastic job on eyebrows and eye lashes. The waxing process is smooth and painless. Quick and to the point. I got my eye lashes and brows tinted tonight and they look absolutely beautiful! I stopped by Nail Time because it's close to where I live and has decent reviews. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and assumed there would be a wait time since I didn't have an appointment. I was greeted upon arrival and they let me know I could be seated immediately. There were quite a few people working there, which was a nice surprise. They have a wide variety of OPI, Essie and Orly polishes to choose from. The salon appeared to be clean and well maintained. They worked meticulously on my manicure and pedicure and did a great job. They were friendly and did not try to push extra services on me (which seems to happen all the time at other salons). It did seem a little pricey..$47 for a regular mani/pedi before tip, but I am satisfied with their quality of work and will visit them again the next time. read more

I have been searching for a nail salon for a very long time. I went in two weeks ago in desperate need of a fill. Ann was my nail technician and she did an absolutely fantastic job. I like very short and very thin natural looking nails and she did exactly that. the salon is quite pricey just for my cell I believe I paid around $55 and that does not include the gratitity.
