The world of plant stores/nurseries has taken a turn for the charming lately, with some even doubling as wedding and reception centers. Interiors are being redone with very Instaworthy layouts and all the modern trends. That's not the case here. This is where you go for your bedding plants. This is where you go for a nice tree. This is where you go to peruse the perennials to just cruise and find something you like. I'm told that earlier in the season they have a nice selection of veggies so that would for sure be worth checking out. I'm not sure if the wintertime brings more houseplants, succulents, cacti, or other on-trend plants, but for now that selection was pretty limited. It's not their specialty, and that's A-OK as long as you know. I found the help to be very friendly, and they seemed to focus a lot on making the plants as affordable as possible, which is always appreciated. They were kind enough to remark on all the recent markdowns and take the time to show a few favorites. All in all, it's a pretty straightforward spot with a lot of the likely suspects, and if you cruise around town looking at nurseries as I do, you'll probably find something interesting here, too.

More importantly, mixing women's and men's clothing in the same section makes the whole area feel cluttered and harder to shop. Keeping those sections distinct would go a long way. Finding a staff member to help you is hit or miss, and even then the interaction can feel rushed or unwelcoming. To be fair, that seems to be the tradeoff you accept at a warehouse store. Who knows what they're telling her when she fills out the forms. They take the gun and put it away after her background check doesn't clear right away. A week goes by and she calls them. It takes twenty minutes to get someone on the phone that knows anything. The person says yes we have the gun still and your background report has not come back yet. They also tell my wife do not call back -we will call you when your background report comes in. Flash forward another week, she calls back again, and they tell her her background report is still not back. Plus, we sold your gun. It's a unique shotgun, hard to find unless you specially order it. What an epic fail. I understand background checks are not their fault, but selling her gun?! After telling her they would hold it for her?!?! Don't buy guns at cal ranch.
