There was brown liquid spilled on the cabinets and floors, paint spilled on the floors, stairs & countertops, outlet covers missing (still not found), painter's tape still stuck to the walls & baseboards, and sunflower seeds littered across EVERY single floor in the house (including the in the carpet and the bathtub). I am shocked at the way the house was left and how sloppy this was. This was not the condition that it was supposed to be left in. I had a showing the next morning so had to spend over 3 hours cleaning it. I contacted the manager about it and received a $275 discount. They did offer to come back over and "take care of these items" but I had no time to let them come back so I had to take care of it myself. For how much I paid to for this to be done I expected way more from this company. I will not be using this company again.

His quote process was straightforward and we used All About Bathrooms to demo and rebuild our bathrooms (the issues the previous owners left us required a full rebuild of the showers). His team was professional, punctual, and got the job done well. Our project was complicated and had more than a few challenges but they handled them all. In a time when you hear stories about people being left in the lurch during rennovation projects it was great to have Jim and his team taking care of us. He was actually able to start work earlier than expected, which is not something you often hear about contractors. Our master suite bathroom was a typical 5 pieces - large garden tub, small shower, toilet and double sinks. We've been in the house for 10+ years and have used the tub twice - both times was to wash the dogs. It was time for a new bathroom. I called 3 places for bids and one of them was All About Bathrooms. Based on Jim's suggestion we removed the tub all together in favor of a large walk-in shower. The entire process with Jim and crew was painless. We are extremely happy with our new bath room. Our next projects are the remodel of the guest bathroom and the kitchen cabinets replacements which we will call on Jim again. If you choose to work with her, do not let her refer you to Hummingbird HRD (Crystal and Brian Mansanares), as that is where everything unraveled. Jaime first helped me after a Christmas morning plumbing disaster, and at the outset, she was fantastic--quick to respond, knowledgeable, and actively engaged in creating thoughtful layouts. Because things seemed to be going well, we also hired her for additional design work in our kitchen and living room. But when she referred us to Hummingbird as the general contractor, she stepped away entirely, leaving us in the hands of an inexperienced team that led to an overpriced, incomplete, and poorly executed renovation. Where Things Went Wrong Jaime and Crystal turned out to be personal friends rather than longtime collaborators, and our home was essentially a "guinea pig project"--a fact Jaime admitted only after things had gone terribly wrong. The staggering lack of professionalism from Hummingbird resulted in months of stress, wasted money, and a home that remains unfinished to this day. After Crystal declared the project "done" (despite glaringly poor workmanship), I asked Jaime to see the state of things herself. She agreed with me that the quality was unacceptable and even apologized for how badly things had turned out. She admitted that Crystal lacked the necessary experience and recognized that we had been unintentionally used as a test project. To make matters worse, she also told me, "Wow, I didn't realize you were so detail-oriented--I would feel exactly the same." As if they thought they could get away with subpar work and I wouldn't notice--truly insulting. Jaime's Final Disappointing Choice To her credit, Jaime convinced Crystal and Brian to attempt to fix their mess, but she ultimately abandoned the project. Despite personally acknowledging all the flaws, she later sent me a completely contradictory statement: "I have every faith in Hummingbird completing the project as promised, and overall, I believe they have done an exceptional job." This project was supposed to take 4-6 weeks starting in March--it was still dragging on in November, at which point I cut ties entirely because it was no longer worth the emotional toll. To this day, our home remains unfinished and cheap-looking, a painful reminder of the stress and financial loss we endured. What We Actually Got for Jaime's Fees After paying her design fees for both the bathroom and kitchen/living room, all we truly received was: * Layout options * A recommendation for Hummingbird (which proved disastrous) * Help selecting a kitchen table and rug Had we gone with a different general contractor, I might be writing a glowing five-star review. Unfortunately, given how this played out, I cannot recommend Jaime Langer at all.

Denver Decks just completed the work on our new deck. From the very start to the finish the…read moreproject has been great. The new deck replaced an old wooden deck that had seen it's better days. The understructure of the old deck was beginning to fail and the understructure supports the roof that covers most of the deck. Before hiring Denver Decks to do the job we used AI to recommend good deck companies in the Denver area. We contacted four companies, three responded and Denver Decks was one of those three. Our deck is 17' x 20' and the estimates to do the job were similar. We were promptly contacted and set up a meeting with Paul Koehn from Denver Decks. We met with Paul and quickly realized that he was much more that just a salesman for the company. He had built many decks before moving into sales so his knowledge of what is needed for a new deck was extensive, readily available, and we actually enjoyed discussing our project with him. Paul also indicated that Denver Decks always complies with the codes and permit process that exists for such projects in Denver. One of the companies that we contacted said that they do not pull permits for work in Denver and if something goes wrong during the process it would be our fault! Paul had lots of photos of other projects that Denver Decks had completed. The photo collection was extensive, well organized, and included pictures of stairs, railings, deck surfaces and lights that have been used in other projects. It really made it easier for us to decide what we wanted for our deck. After deciding on what we wanted for our deck the deconstruction of the old deck began and we got to meet/talk with Jay (project manager), Mike (site manager) and Jim, the craftsman for our deck. The communication throughout the project was great! The roof, that covered most of the 17'x20' deck, was supported by three 4"x4" posts that were set upon the deck surface that was supported by two 2"x8" boards on edge. I was very nervous that the aging understructure might fail and drop the roof onto the deck. Denver Decks installed 3 caissons to support the new 6"x6" posts that would now support the roof and 3 added caissons to support the outer edge of the deck. Each cement caisson was 19" in diameter and 36" deep. My worries about the roof falling ceased to exist! After the old deck was removed Jim began to build the new deck. I do not have words that can adequately express how impressed we were with the craftsmanship, construction knowledge and care that Jim displayed in building our deck. The skill that he displayed in all aspects of the construction were amazing and the best that I've ever witnessed in all of the projects that I've ever hired or been around. He built our deck the way that I would've built it if I had his knowledge, skill, equipment and his many years of construction experience! Thank you Jim! Such decks are not cheap and the price for Denver Decks to do the job was similar to that of the company that said they would not pull permits! Building a deck is one of those many situations in life where you truly do, "get what you paid for" and we didn't pay a cent until the job was finished to our satisfaction. Apologies for such a long review but a short review just would not do in this case. Denver Decks did a great job for us and we wholeheartedly recommend them for your deck. Roger reached out almost immediately and scheduled repairs. He did the estimate and Jeremy did the demo and retiling. They were able to come out the next day to do an estimate and then in two days they were finished the job. The tile job was perfect and matched my existing shower walls. Everything looks great and my wife and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work. Both Roger and Jeremy were real professionals, incredibly responsive and understanding of the whole situation. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
