Fix the damn scale in the mens bathroom, it's consistently out of order. They raised the price from golds and no better maintenance.

First, cleanliness needs to be addressed immediately. The restrooms and workout areas should be cleaned regularly throughout the day, not just once. There should also be better enforcement of members wiping down equipment after use. Second, equipment maintenance needs to improve. Broken machines should be repaired quickly, and there should be a clear system for reporting issues and tracking repairs. Third, the gym needs more free weights and better organization of them. There are not enough dumbbells or plates, and weights are constantly left scattered. Staff should be more proactive in keeping the floor organized. Finally, there needs to be more staff presence on the floor to enforce basic gym etiquette. Members should be held accountable for cleaning up after themselves and respecting the space. If these issues were addressed, it would make a major difference in the overall quality of the gym. read more

I signed up for a $29.99/month membership at EōS Fitness because I was specifically told by a representative (Gio) that it included access to the escape room. That was the main reason I chose that package, and I had been using the escape room without any issues--until last month. Out of nowhere, my access stopped working. When I asked about it, the manager (Mia, spelling might be off) told me that access to the escape room is no more since the "new change over" and that I no longer have access. There was no prior notice or communication about this change. I explained that I was sold this membership with that feature included, but she didn't offer any solution or try to work something out. I even asked if there were options to adjust my membership so I could keep access, but there was no effort to help. I then contacted corporate, and they told me to speak with the gym manager--who had already dismissed the issue. I also reached out to the district operations manager, Samuel Castrejon, and it's been 3 weeks with no response via email. This has been extremely frustrating. I chose this membership based on what I was told at sign-up, and it feels misleading that EōS won't honor what was promised. I just want them to stand by what they sold me. read more

This gym has completely fallen apart since EOS took over from Gold's. What used to be a solid, well-maintained facility now feels neglected and poorly managed. Equipment is constantly broken and sits that way for days or weeks. I personally reported two broken bikes to an employee yesterday, and the response was pure indifference. No urgency, no accountability. The sauna and steam room, which used to be highlights of the gym, are now poorly maintained and disappointing. It's clear maintenance and member experience are no longer a priority. If you're thinking about joining, don't waste your money. This place has gone downhill fast. read more

RIP Gold's Gym. EoS has recently bought over 20 Gold's Gym SoCal locations, so they're still in the early stages of rebranding. So far it looks like they're only focused on painting the interior. In the meantime, they still have all the same equipment and weights that we've been using before. They kept the same friendly staff and the diverse group of personal trainers to help you achieve your fitness goals or to help push you to the next level. I'd be curious to see what changes they make in the new year and if they continue to keep the escape room functioning exactly the same way it's always been used. It's one of the rare perks that keeps me coming back specifically to this location. Otherwise, this is just your typical standard (overcrowded) gym. I don't know much about EoS but they've got some big shoes to fill. read more

The gym itself was nice. The women's locker room however was disgusting. The steam room smells awful. And the past few times I've come had not been steamy at all. And in the sauna a fire will start because the older ladies think it's okay to put their wet clothes right next to the box that lets out the heat. Do not ever believe them, either their employees are not trained well enough in giving you correct information about membership details or they are willfully lying in order to close a sale. Either way it's wrong and people need to be wary of buying memberships from this company and location since this was the same issue I had dealt with when it was Golds Gym. Seems not much has changed. Do not fall for their 3 years free for 3 referrals deal. There are so many conditions they are willing to exclude in order to close out those sales. read more

Many of their machines are broken. It's always packed with people. I got robbed 3 times! Nothing in their lost and found & poor service.

Waited over an hour for a sales person to come sign me up for a membership because they only had one on the floor. The facility have so many equipment under maintenance and now over packed so there's just not a lot to work with. Their equipment are old and need to be updated. I don't typically ever leave reviews but for the price you pay it not even close to being worth it. Nearly half of the machines are broken, 90% of the weights that are supposed to be racked are either scattered throughout the gym or in the wrong places. The weight room has a lot of room for improvement, with regard to dumbbells not being placed back, or the wrong weight on the rack, and clearly no one ever cleans the nooks and crannies of the machines and benches. But, the women's bathroom is atrocious. I used the same shower stall for 2 weeks in a row and the same hairball, in the same shape and size, was in the same location, blocking the shower drain. I called to discuss it with a manager and spoke with someone who said they were the maintenance manager. I said that the bathrooms are dirty, mirrors are spotty, and there are stains on the vanities. They said the maintenance team is "supposed" to clean every day, and they will talk with them "again" and "hopefully" they do their job. "No," I said, "this is a gym, these are basic cleanliness and hygiene expectations." I went on to say that "hopefully" isn't acceptable. Bathrooms should be cleaned EVERY DAY. The person on the phone said they will make sure it's done. The next week, in the same shower stall, the same hairball hadn't moved. Thankfully I saw a woman with a broom and dustpan walking around with an EOS polo and I asked her to sweep up the hairball. That's when it finally disappeared - 3 weeks, 1 phone call, and submission form to the website got it done. A few weeks after that, I got a response from my website submission saying they'll work harder to meet "my" expectations. Gosh thats awful. I'm not asking for the moon or to even see super shiny floors. Just super basic cleaning! How daily cleaning is "my" expectation and not the business's expectation is sad. read more

The schedule app is not working for the 3rd time ever since EOS took over. They don't have ETA to have it fixed. When I asked to manually enroll me in a class, front staff told me to show him a proof that the app is not working. Very inconvenient. Management should comunicate better with their staff. The Fullerton Malvern location has a terribly rude staff member that works early in the morning. She's consistently unwelcoming any time I've seen her. For example, I came in around 5:20am, and she gives me a dirty look as soon as she looks up. I needed help with the scanner. She doesn't smile. She sounds annoyed. Please get rid of her. Or put her in the back where people don't have to see her because she obviously doesn't like people. read more

I should have known better based off the reviews and ratings. I decided to buy my membership at this location but after dealing with Justin Song, I went to the location on State College & Chapman and bought my membership there. Justin Song was extremely rude and for so reason he didn't want to help me. I came in knowing what I wanted to sign up for but he Saud that he couldn't assist me and that I needed to wait. After a few minutes of waiting, I decided I wasn't going to deal with thus type of service so I went elsewhere and received great service. I believe that Justin is not happy doing what he does and feels like he shouldn't be bothered. Anyway, this location is pretty run down like many others but overall decent place to workout but horrible service by Justin. read more

The internet service is horrible- non ! It's a hassle to listen to music unless you have it downloaded! Also, I got the "bring a guest membership" to conveniently bring my partner with me but it turns out they have to fill out a sign in doc that asks over 15 personal questions! This gym has seriously gone downhill. I came in just to do a simple walk on the treadmill and not a single one was working. On top of that, three machines in the BBL room were down, plus the leg extension, leg curl, and even the biceps machine. At this point it feels like half the gym is just broken equipment. The worst part is that some of these machines have been down for months, so clearly maintenance and management aren't doing much about it. Paid for a three year membership, but been going here almost 6 years now. It was recently switched to EoS and the gym has completely went downhill. The gym is super packed to the point that I was doing the bench press and some younger high schoolers were standing next to me and the bar hit their hip. The bar almost fell on my neck because it is just so crowded. Please please please switch all the Gold's Gym to a premium tier. It does not make sense for a business to invest in 20 something new gyms and just have the crowds mingle. Even the urinal was stuffed with toilet paper and it overfilled. The smell of the urine was unbearable. It has literally become a jungle. Please make the necessary adjustments to bring back the environment to what it already was. read more

We all want to try a new gym so you brave up and you go in and you're so excited. Let's see if you like the place. But then you get told the one thing you wanna do which just take classes and something that the seven day pass doesn't let you what's the point you don't wanna work out on machines you just want to take classes. See if you like it maybe make some friends but that's the one thing that's not included in a day pass. I find this crazy. We can't try all the amenities then stop giving away free passes to start the gym but the worst is that then they keep calling you asking you to come back when all you wanna do is scream at them saying well it's your policy that I can't actually do the one thing I wanna do which take a class and see what the instructors are like see what the vibe is like and really that's how you "gym" So my recommendation is going in knowing this is that if you get a seven day pass, you better be really happy with just a treadmill cause that's the only thing you'll be able to try. read more
