My experience with Hurdle's has been nothing short of exceptional. We visited several jewelry…read morestores during our search, but ultimately decided on a custom piece. After researching multiple custom jewelers, we chose Hurdle's, and I am so glad we did. From the start, Aria was incredible. She not only answered all of our questions but also took the time to educate us on the different qualities to look for in various stones. Hurdle's has a great relationship with their ring makers, which made the process seamless. I found a ring design I loved and wanted to modify, and they provided multiple modification options--from their in-house team and the ring maker. The wax model they created was a game-changer, helping me visualize the final product perfectly. My engagement ring turned out so beautifully that I trusted them with two other custom projects for my wedding. For my wedding necklace, I wanted to use the stone from my proposal ring. I asked for recommendations on how to add interest without overshadowing the main stone, and they delivered stunning designs. I also worked with Haley to create a custom wedding band. Like Aria, Haley was incredibly helpful, offering suggestions and sharing her extensive knowledge of different stones, settings, and metals. I was more indecisive with the wedding necklace and wedding band design, going back and forth on several ideas. Haley was exceptionally patient, listened to my evolving vision, and helped me narrow it down while managing my expectations. The result is a both a wedding necklace and wedding band I absolutely adore. My fiancé is equally impressed with their knowledge and service, so much so he purchased his wedding band from them too! I highly recommend Hurdle's for any custom jewelry needs. I recommend seeing them sooner rather than later to make sure you have time to work on the design, make changes, and have it made. The pieces they have made for me are not only beautiful but also deeply meaningful. In addition to their custom work, I've had them repair several of my pieces. When one of my earrings needed a small fix after a recent repair, they took care of it on the spot. I am confident that even if we move away, we will be customers of Hurdle's for many years to come.

Some of their employees will only go off hallmarks instead of taking the time to test precious metals using other testing methods. They did not do any kind of buyout process for the stones in the pieces I melted either. In addition, they lack options to create a custom piece. They only had one fine chain option in gold, which was surprising. I decided not to go that route and instead ordered a designer piece. I waited around for about two months to hear for them. I finally called and was informed there had been an issue with the piece, and it had to be remade, yet no one could tell me why. When the remake came in, it was not what I had discussed with the owner. I opted for another designer piece, but they didn't have it in the length I wanted. They told me they could order it but that I would have to commit to it without even seeing the stone first. I contacted the designer directly and found out that the piece was a standard option on their website and that if I ordered through them, I wouldn't have had to commit if I didn't like the stone. It was too late for me to order directly as HJ had already added the extra length. I should have reached out to the designer sooner. I was charged a hefty labor fee for a minor adjustment to the chain. They made no mention of the labor fee and then claimed they gave me a discount on labor as if they did me a huge favor. Most jewelers I've worked with offer complimentary resizing and minor adjustments when a minimum purchase is met. I was often talked down to and made to feel incompetent through my entire experience. HJ took no accountability for their actions during any of the interactions I had with them. I could have saved a few hundred dollars ordering directly from the designer due to Boulders' hefty taxes/fees and HJ's labor fee. I like to support small businesses, but I wouldn't support this one again.

Joe was incredibly helpful and honest throughout the process. He quickly sourced several lab-grown sapphires for us to compare and helped us choose the perfect one. Joe took the time to answer our questions and never made us feel pressured. We have since gone back to Gold Market several times to have our rings cleaned and polished, and every experience has been stellar. Joe is always accommodating and genuinely cares about his customers. We are so glad we found Gold Market Diamond Jewelers and will continue supporting this small business for years to come.

I brought in a ring to Gold Market Jewelers that I inherited from my grandma, who passed away very recently. With my wedding just a few months away I wanted to use some of the diamonds from her ring to have a wedding ring made. When my fiancé and I first met with Rose, one of the owners, she was very kind. After I mentioned that some close friends had rings made there, she even offered us a friends and family discount, so my first impression was great. Over the next few weeks we talked over text and finalized the design for the new ring. I then dropped off the original ring at the store so they could get started with making the new ring. Rose was there and gave me a quote of $2,300. Looking back, I regret not getting the quote in writing. Next, they made a wax model of the ring, which I returned to the store to try on. After trying it on I approved the design and told them to go ahead with making the official ring. About a month later, I was told the ring was ready to pick up. When my fiancé and I arrived to pick it up Rose wasn't there, so her husband Joe checked us out. He then proceeded to tell us that the total was $3,100. We were both shocked and immediately told him that Rose had quoted us $2,300, not $3,100. He seemed surprised but did not offer any adjustment. They had also assumed that the gold from my grandma's ring would be sold to them and this was factored into the price, despite this never being discussed with us. I had to specifically ask for the gold back. We felt we had no choice but to pay the $3,100, especially since Joe reiterated a few times that the shop was closing early. Before we left, he said he would leave the price ticket sitting out for Rose to review and that they would try to make things right. A few days later, after hearing nothing, I reached out through their messaging system and asked how the price had increased by $800. This is where the experience became extremely negative. Rose gave me several "explanations" for the price that I have evidence contradicting. First, she claimed I had been quoted $2,300 for the ring to be made with white gold rather than platinum (which is what my ring was ultimately made with). However, I have text messages between us showing that I told her I had decided on platinum before she gave me the $2,300 quote in person. So she did in fact know that I wanted the ring in platinum when I was given the quote. She then claimed she was present when I tried on the wax model and that she confirmed the $3,100 price with me that day. Except in reality, she was not there. I tried on the wax model with her husband, Joe who had told me that Rose was not at the store that day, and he never mentioned a final price or quoted me $3,100. Finally, in these messages Rose claimed the value of my grandma's gold was $450 and that this was the amount she had written down to offer us. However, when we checked out, Joe only offered us $350, which I have a receipt proving. We have since also learned that the gold is worth more than twice the $350 they offered. She also offered no explanation as to why it was assumed we would be selling the gold to them when it was never discussed with us. I called Rose out on these discrepancies, but she ultimately ignored my response and I never heard back. The one silver lining is that the ring itself turned out beautiful. Unfortunately, that is about the only positive thing I can say about my experience and this business. Given the unexplained $800 price increase, the confusion and lowball offer with the gold, and the several lies I was told to try and justify all of this, I cannot recommend this jeweler. I would strongly encourage others to choose a jeweler who they can trust and who communicates clearly about pricing.
