But i feel like i have to spread the word about my experience.....So, today my husband and I went to Cash America Pawn in 7544 N Lamar and got to buy a gold pendant. This lady who's helping me with my purchase offer me to clean "My personal jewelry which is my engagement ring" after we paid for the pendant that we bought and of course I said yes coz who wouldn't want a free jewelry cleaning and she's so nice to me. Before I hand it to her, and I checked all the diamonds in it and my engagement ring was perfectly fine. After a little while, she got back with my ring, she did a great job cleaning it but when I was checking on it, I noticed that one diamond on my wedding ring is missing and I told her about it. I find it so weird coz my husband just bought that ring in March 2022 and sign of wear and tear so I am sure that all the diamonds are intact. And I start to realize that she told me when I was checking the pendant that I bought and she said "Oh I love your ring, can I see it?" And I showed it to her up-close. Anyways, she went to the back of the office to check if it was there and told me it's not there. And I told her that I am not leaving until she finds it and this other lady named Kitty help to look for it, went to the back of the office and she found it... Took my ring to the jewelry repair shop and they told me it has a sign of forced picking of the diamond on the band where the diamond sets. Thanks to Kitty who found the loose diamond.

I've been in here countless times, and although I scored an Ampeg SVT bass head for $350, that's the only thing I've seen worthwhile in this store, and that was after they had it priced for $700 forever. Both Tim, the former manager and Anita, the new manager are great people willing to go the extra mile to make sure you walk out of their stores satisfied with whatever services you needed. The rest of the staff follow the same protocol. Great place! If you happen to be looking for a business like this but can't make it here or one of their other stores, just stay clear of Top Cash pawn. They have terrible prices with service to match. There are a few exceptions regarding their staff, but as a whole, including the higher ups, they're a really bad place to do business with. Just stick with Cash America and you'll keep smiling on your way out the door!

They have outright lied to me and laughed about it in front of me. Some time ago their prices were so high that everything just sat in the shop. Over the last year or so they have started selling things here and there, so they seem a little more reasonable on the pricing front. I like doing business with local folks, and they are easy for me to get to, but nobody wants to be lied to and laughed at. I want friendly people that I can trust when I go to a store. It's just not an enjoyable pawn shop experience, since there is always this feeling that they couldn't care if you came back or dropped dead, either one.
