I had to ask for the window sticker for my next oil change. Two weeks after my Oil change my oil light went on. I just had a bad feeling. Went to my regular place which is really far from where I live now only to see they used the wrong oil!!! I was going to go back and request a refund but knew I would be greeted by just the people working there and not a manager. Do not use this place unless you want your car to be messed up!!! I've religiously taken my car to Rapid Lube for years around 3k in miles. A few weeks ago our…read moreengine seized up and I had it towed to the OEM dealer in Danbury. When they did the analysis of what happened, they said it was due to lack of oil changes and sludge in the engine. Not trusting them, I then called my local mechanic. He said he has worked on tons of engines from Rapid Lube as while they keep track of the car, they often alternate between just changing the filter and changing the oil..ie you're going for an oil change and they don't actually change the oil. In addition they use drum oil. My mechanic said he know multiple people that work there. If you look up online the average time for an actual proper oil change, the time quoted is 20 to 30 minutes. There are constant times I've been out of Rapid Lube in less than 10 minutes. It's too good to be true. Be warned. It is dishonest, potentially incredibly damaging to your car and frankly dangerous and I'm never going back. Thank god my wife wasn't on the highway going 70 mph when the engine started smoking.
