    My husband and I rented an apartment in Laguna Beach managed by EZ Properties. We had an amazing experience and loved living there, it really was hard to leave. The view was beautiful and it had a nice mid century feel to it. Olga and Richie we're professional, helpful and very accommodating. If there were ever any maintenance issues, Olga would have it taken care of immediately. From day one when we rented the apartment to the day we left, we had a great experience. We never had any issues. The apartment was beautiful, full of thoughtful details and really was one of our most memorable, favorite living experiences to date. Huge thank you to Olga and Richie for everything and we wish you much success and happiness!!! We miss it!

Then arrived on site to a massive renovation happening next door. I called him to ask him to please refund since he was not honest about the situation and he told me to stay on site a night and we'd deal with it the next day, to which I said no. He then wrote a very nasty and misleading review on Airbnb about my stay even though I was only onsite 15 mins. AVOID! These are scammers only interested in making money, not honoring the guest. Throughout her stay, she expressed dissatisfaction with the property and, unfortunately, made repeated threats to leave a negative review. V mentioned that the scent of cleaning products was too strong, but we explained that we prioritize sanitization between each guest to ensure a safe and clean environment. This has never been an issue for previous guests. Additionally, she mentioned construction next door. We personally checked the property earlier in the day, and there was no active construction at the time. While it's possible the neighbors were doing light work, there was no disruption during her stay. Despite our best efforts to accommodate V and address her concerns, she continued to insist on a full refund and threatened a bad review. We ultimately had to reach out to Airbnb for assistance due to the ongoing threats. We always strive to provide a positive experience for our guests and are sorry that this stay did not meet her expectations.

    AVOID WESTLAND AT ALL COSTS!…read more Renting a 2 bed/2 bath apartment from Westland was the worst decision I've ever made. Here's why no one should ever consider leasing from them: Shady Billing Practices: They forced tenants to share utilities, but the bills were NEVER transparent. I had no idea how they calculated what I owed, and they tried to charge us for utilities when the bill had credits on them. It felt like they were inflating costs to squeeze more money out of tenants. Greedy Rent Increases: When I asked to go month-to-month after my lease was up, they hiked my rent by an outrageous amount. It was a blatant money grab and showed how little they care about retaining good tenants. They resisted the same apartment for cheaper then when I moved out. If you're looking for a property management company that is dishonest, and solely motivated by greed, then Westland is perfect for you. Otherwise, spare yourself the stress and look elsewhere. Renting from them was a nightmare, and I would never recommend them to anyone!

    I am updating my review to add my experience after living here for close to 2 years. I want to…read moremention some of the issues that one should look for prior to moving into the community. - The apartments here have severe moisture/mold & rust issues, which means that the windows and walls drip for no reason ( rains/no rains). Please make sure you look for signs behind white-washed walls. I was very frustrated with this issue during my stay as there was no fix and we had to leave our windows open in the dead of winter. - Upstairs noise nuisance- While this might not be the case in every apartment. Our upstairs neighbors would refuse to sleep until 4 am and was every tenant's worst nightmare. - Double-check before placing your security deposit - I had a conflict with the management for charging unnecessary utilities. The water charges in this community are insane. It was a monthly dilemma to pay the high utilities when your personal usage is close to nil. While I did not receive any response in my favor and was helpless for the crazy amount they withheld. I want to make sure you do not trust the management easily with your money & make sure you take all the documentation with you before moving. Would highly recommend getting it cleaned yourself to give another opportunity to the community to charge you $195 in cleaning and more. Apart from these issues, the community was safe & in close proximity to all utilities. I was very upset over the management's behavior during emergency maintenance when helplines would not work & when questioned about charges- they would call out any month of any year and make you pay by hook or crook.
