Her prices are very fair and I've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for a haircut. Good conversation and a good looking cut with easy parking. For super fast service go during the weekday in the afternoon! They are closed Sundays and Tuesdays though. read more

I had anticipated the service to be great but based on the reviews but I didn't realize how great they actually were. Karmen, the store owner who cut my hair was personally trained by Vidal Sassoon in London 20 years ago. She really understands what designs look good on you and is an expert when it comes to hair. I have paid over $50 for lesser cuts, and at only $12 a hair cut, you are really getting a world class hair cut. read more

I just took my two 10-year old sons to EZ Cut for haircuts. I have been doing Fantastic Sams and Supercuts for years and have NEVER been happy with the way they cut my boys' hair. It always felt like we were on an assembly line--with the haircut always coming out too short or too ragged. I wasn't ready to take them to my salon and pay $45 (while having them refuse the shampoo!). I read on Yelp that EZ Cut was inexpensive, the cuts were good, and the people were nice. I have to say that I agree 100% on all three counts. Gina cut my boys' hair beautifully. She paid attention to what my sons said they wanted and even went back and "fixed" something based on a comment made about it being "too straight." To have a grown-up actually listen makes a big difference to a 10 year old boy. My boys were happy with the cuts and I was also happy with the price--$12 each. I'm sorry to have to write a review giving less than 5 stars, but I have to be honest. I went in for a hair cut on a Weds and made an appointment with Carmen for color and highlights for that Saturday at 10:30 am. When I arrived at the salon at 10:25 the morning of my appointment, Carmen was cutting another man's hair. There was a man and 2 other women waiting for hair cuts as well, but I figured they were waiting for the other woman who works in the salon (don't know her name). Carmen informed me that she had to do 2 hair cuts before she could get to me, but that they would be quick. So, she finished the client she was working on when I arrived and then she cut the guy who was waiting's hair. And then she cut one of the girl's hair. The girl asked for the other hair stylist to cut her sister's hair, but for some reason that didn't happen and Carmen informed me that she would also have to cut the sister's hair before she could get to me. At this point it was nearly 11:30 and I was pretty frustrated. I had to sit and wait while 4 people got their hair cut during and after my appointment time. Granted, Carmen does cut hair quickly, but she shouldn't make appointment times if she's not going to respect them. Carmen is a very nice woman and EZ Cut hair cuts are very inexpensive, but I will not be returning to this salon. read more

EZ cuts does threading! There is even a special room and chair for this application! Karmen is a beautiful Iranian woman, whose manicured eyebrows are to be admired. I want eyebrows like that! Though mine aren't as thick, she shaped them so they could grow out. In addition, she did something that in years and years of getting threading no one has ever done. She took the time, to color in my eyebrows with eye powder to show me how she fills in her own to give them a more defined look. She said "see, you too can get that look." How sweet was that? I really also liked that she took her time, threading and using tweezers to shape and define. Talk about pride in workmanship. read more

Old saying: You can want something done fast or you can want something done right. You cannot have it both ways. I hate to do negative reviews. Though it seems negative, what I am trying to say is come here if you want a fast basic hair cut. EZ Cut hold true to the name but don't come here for anything other than basic hair needs. For men, I think she cuts their hair really well if you want a tradition and simple fast hair cut. (That is what I've observed). This doesn't apply to me though since I am a girl and wanted to change my hairstyle. Yes, it is definitely not $14 anymore (for women). :P $25 base price. Then, you gotta add tip to that. Atmosphere: Before anything, I have to say that the stylist is nice and the atmosphere is generally pleasant. The women are friendly and unpretentious. There is no loud music playing unlike in other more "stylish" salons. It has a welcoming and local vibe to the place. Other than that, I do not recommend this salon if you want a new or modern hairstyle, especially for the price. Maybe maintenance or a trim but REALLY pay attention if your hair is even on both sides. The Cut: Three issues I have to address: One, the stylist cuts hair with a razor, which is known to cause split ends. I do not think this is a generally good method. Usually people who are in a hurry, maybe because you are the only stylist in the place, use this method. The razor is good for things like bangs our the outline of your face, which you cut frequently but not the bottom end of shoulder length hair. Two, I would have to say the stylist strong point is basic hair styles. Anything new or modern is not her strong point. For example, I ask her to cut thick bangs. SO what you are suppose to do is section off the hair in a sort of triangle, she didn't do that. As if I didn't say, three times that I want the sides of my bangs longer. Only did the old method, which is line in the middle kind of 1990's hair cut, which does not work with a high bang. At the moment, my hair looks unnaturally like the Beatles in the front. Oh boy, I gonna have to wait 6 months for my sides to grow out. Finally, when I got home, I realize my shoulder length hair sides were uneven. Left was shorter than the right. She didn't do a check on my shoulder length hair (which you pull a section from each side and to the top to check equal length). Just rushed to style to get me out of the door. ): I have been here two times. First experience was great because I asked for a basic trim. This was not a good experience. For $25, with no hair wash and just a cut and style... I feel there is a lot better out there. Parking: Parking exist but it is difficult. To enter their parking space, you would have to drive through a is quite narrow one passage. I don't think an SUV can get through there. Check it out in google maps. read more

I decided to bring my 16mo old for a haircut because of the great reviews, I'm glad we did. The ladies are very nice, understanding & helpful of my son crying hysterically while getting his haircut! Even the people that were there waiting/getting a haircut were so nice about the loud crying coming out of my son. I will need a haircut by next month & I plan to go to them. I took my 1 year old to get a much needed hair cut after his grandparents gave him a sideways uneven bowl haircut to get his long brown straight hair out of his eyes. The stylist there saved his hair!! She wheeled out a car like kids chair that had a steering wheel. My son was so delighted to sit there and she gave him a stylish boys cut. The top had a choppy slightly longer length than the sides. The sides were buzzed to look very clean. I Highly recommend this place for kids hair cuts!! I have one of those Asian hair types that is not easy to cut/style and requires more frequent visits to a hair stylist, if I wanted to maintian a certain hair cut/style. I have tried Beverly Hills salons to a local Supercuts to find a balance between the quality and cost. You can't get much better than a $12 haircut (plus a tip) that gets you the look that is practically indistinguishable from a cut from an overpriced Beverly Hills salon. Gina is pretty skilled with her scissors. Two things that are not very good: parking and waiting. There are maybe three spots in the behind-the-building parking lot that are often full. You will need to find a street parking and feed a meter. Making an appointment does not secure the time of your haircut. Just get there and wait, if Gina is occupied, othersie you get seated right away. That said, I am not complaining. read more

I have been meaning to do a review of this place for over a year now and am finally just getting to it. After having my son's hair cut here for the past three years, I decided to get mine cut and colored. Gina did an amazing job recommending a good cut for my features and I was so happy with the cut I went back a week later to have her fix my previously-botched (by another salon) color. My sister had been cutting my hair since I went short last July, but she's moving out of state, so I had to find somebody new. This place is neat, clean and organized. parking on the street is impossible but in the rear of the building customers can park their car. They always greet and smile while customers enter. Had my haircut here consistently over the last year while living in Glendale at the recommendation of a friend. The place is always clean, Carmen is wonderful to interact with, and she knows exactly what she is doing. I was always impressed by how quickly she could take care of my very standard, male hairstyle and still pull off fades and attend to my specific requests and preferences. Makes me think some of what goes on at other stores is just for show to justify exorbitant prices or possibly a lack of skill.
