Extremely Disappointed with LensCrafters - Misleading and Poor Service!…read more I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at LensCrafters in Warwick Mall, Rhode Island. First, they gave me the wrong size frame, and I had to replace it. When placing the order for the correct size, I made it very clear that I was leaving Rhode Island in two weeks and wouldn't be coming back. They assured me the glasses would be ready in 10 days, saying that was the "worst-case scenario." It's now well past that, and they still have no idea when my frames will be delivered to the store (they say they can't track when they will be delivered). The lack of communication has been frustrating, with no clear answers or updates. While delays happen, being promised a specific timeframe under important circumstances and then being left in the dark is unacceptable. I expected much better from a large company like LensCrafters. If you're on any sort of schedule or want reliable customer service, I strongly suggest going elsewhere. I do not recommend doing business with this store. Period! Update: The glasses finally arrived at my house via UPS a couple of days ago (after a month) and guess what? They are defective (the right hinge is loose and crocked). About a month after I bought the first pair, I did have a problem with the frame, but they replaced the frame, no hassles, no questions asked. My second pair, I have had about a year and they are perfect (and very comfortable a stylish too - when I had trouble deciding between my final two choices for frames, the owner told me which frame looked better, so I went with that one, and don't regret the choice). I bought single vision frames, but my prescription has a prism, so the eyeglasses were $99 instead of $69, but that is understandable, as a prism requires a more complex lens. To the person who gave this business a one-star rating, to me, that is unwarranted. The owner, John Sarracino, has been extremely polite every time I've gone there, and I never felt rushed. He has even replaced nose pads on a pair of prescription sunglasses (which I didn't even purchase from them), no questions asked, with a smile! I like that you are dealing directly with the owner, a registered optician, who has over 40 years of experience, instead of dealing with an inexperienced kid. My vision has always been perfect with both pairs of eyeglasses he has made for me.
