We were not thoroughly briefed before the appointment that staff would not be allowed to assist him with the contacts, and that parents weren't supposed to be in the room while he was trying them on. This was a traumatic experience for our son (the contact got stuck in his eye and the doctor had to use a small plunger to pull it out after I begged them to) but especially traumatic as parents watching our child struggle while the staff did...nothing. I hate leaving negative reviews but parents need to be told EXACTLY what to expect so this situation doesn't happen again. No, we will not use this business again nor can we recommend it.

When I found out Lynn is managing this practice, I had to warn other people about her. I heard the main doctor is great here, but if she is the helper for the doctor, I would be careful. She talks about things she doesn't know anything about because she thinks she is so smart and above the doctors and will tell you things that are incorrect. She would argue with you because she thinks she knows better than the patient or their family members. It is so dangerous, I had to take my father away from the previous clinic that she worked at because of this assistant. She would say things that would contradict the doctor because she "thought" the doctor was not 100% right about my father's glaucoma care. She even said my father had cataracts before the doctor even said anything! If she is training the people working here, I would be very cautious about the information they give you that isn't from the doctor directly.

Initially, the optometrist made an error with my prescription, requiring me to return two weeks later for a reevaluation. I had purchased my own frames out of pocket and gave them to the office to insert the lenses. After that visit, I waited weeks for the glasses to arrive, and by the end of November, there was still no sign of them. In December, I was told the glasses had finally shipped, only to be informed later that UPS had "lost" the shipment -- including the frames I personally paid for. Because of this, I had to return yet again for another fitting about three weeks ago. I was assured the new glasses would be shipped directly to my home. Unsurprisingly, they never arrived. When I called last week, I was told there was an issue with their lab and that the glasses would be shipped as soon as possible. When I called again yesterday, I was told they were still at the lab but completed and would be shipped. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. A staff member told me a manager would call me back, but I never received a call. This has been months of delays, poor communication, repeated mistakes, and zero accountability. If you value your time, money, and sanity, save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

The clinic wasted six months of our time and delayed my daughter's care. Had they been upfront from the start, we could have sought appropriate treatment elsewhere. It was poorly communicated and I thought it was poor communication between my wife and I as far as after care goes for our daughter. We took my daughter to the follow up and I've never had any eye issues in my entire life so I don't know anything about eye conditions so I had a few questions during the appointment. She, the optometrist, was super nice but seemed very rushed and answered as quickly (and vaguely) as she could. I was ultimately trying to get an explanation on what's wrong with my daughter's eyes. After the third time of asking the same question, she answered but still sugarcoating it for some reason. I'm not a child, tell me the truth and be straightforward! You're not doing me any favors by telling me simply "there's a SLIGHT change." So in the end, her prescription changed and we have to pay for new lenses which I thought was what I was paying for cuz that's what we were talking about right before I agreed and handed them my card. They call me back a few days later and say it's not covered so I'll have to pay the full amount. Then I ask what the difference is and they say no, you haven't paid anything yet. ???????? Apparently that charge was just for the visit and that's somewhat abnormally high for a copay ($65) and so I call them back and ask if none of the visit was covered or if that's the actual copay. I was told the she had to ask the manager then she never called me back and somehow not picking up my calls at all. Such a money grab. I don't know what they're doing there but they need to be re-trained on how to care about clients and understanding patients/parents. I wouldn't expect someone to go into a fancy restaurant and know how to pronounce the bougie names or even know what they are if they've been accustomed to steakhouses. Definitely not going back. How do you not know what you charged me for? I trusted you without questioning anything and now that I have the wherewithal to ask, you don't even know?? TLDR; they don't care to explain anything except the options available for taking your money. Unacceptable. 1 star only cuz I can't pick ZERO stars.
