They failed to…read moreaccurately submit to the insurance for the 100% covered yearly preventative exam, thus causing a co payment to be needed. Called the insurance company and they said that the office didn't submit the correct coding, called the practice manager back and she said that is 'how they do it'. The practice also has a cool digital retinal mapping instead of dilation, but...the price increases every 2 years - same machine, so unclear of why the price is going up. In the end, the front end of this business has inept staff (their original office manager retired and she was great and I had no issues at all with my insurance being coded correctly). The new staff are arrogant, needless to say, I will be not continuing with care here.

Finally on the second time to the desk (after waiting 45 minutes) they said we'd be called next. 5 more minutes and finally called for the 1st part of the visit (this was supposed to be a quick follow up for pressure) and sent back to the waiting room. Over an hour to see the doctor which is ridiculous for any visit not even considering the patient is 98! Will be reporting to Medicaid, Aetna, and to the referral doctor. Stop overbooking!! I got there a little after 5 and Brooke took her time explaining everything to me and even stayed till after they close around 6:20 when they close at 6. She said they could be flexible with where I can pick up the glasses since I live halfway between the Waterford and Coventry BJ's and she said I could get them repaired at either BJ's as well. She went above and beyond with her customer service!! It took a week and a day for the glasses to come in which I consider very quick. I am very excited to pick up my two new pairs of glasses in the next few days!!

Started going to Westchester eye about two years ago. Had additional blue view vision with my…read moreinsurance. Was told that they no longer take blue view and that they could do my eye exam but when it came to my glasses I would need to go to their sister location or somewhere else. I was planning on going to their sister location. The day of my appointment I was told my copay was $90. $30 for my annual eye exam and another $60 for them to just give me my prescriptio. that's ridiculous. It's my prescription. It's not my fault they no longer take the insurance. Especially if I was going to their sister store for my glasses. I will never go back there.
