First time I went to this practice, It went well and I was taken care of. When I had a following check up scheduled 3 months later. They called a week or so prior to the appointment and said we need to reschedule because the doctors that were going to be present that day didn't take your insurance. We rescheduled and I arrived early on the new scheduled date to be told that the doctors here today don't take your insurance. They told me they tried calling me, which I never received a call but instead I received a reminder message at 1 pm to arrive there at 4. Poor communication and the lack of attention to scheduling. First time here, just moved to the area. Office is very nice, looks new and modern. Dr. Nghe was a pleasure to meet and took care of all of my questions. Reception was great, did not wait very long to get started with the tests. Checking out though proved difficult with young lady who waited on me. She did not add up my total correctly and despite me asking her to check several times she ran my credit card anyway. Afterwards she realized she messed up, and apologized. It would have made much more sense if she had been willing to help to begin with. Not a great ending to an otherwise nice visit. read more

They accept Medicaid but discriminate against customers that have it. You can book an appointment to get an eye exam same day with a better health insurance company or if you're paying cash but if you have Medicaid, they "don't have availability for 2-3 months" read more

crooks, If your going to rob me please use a weapon Every year im required to get a eye exam and glasses. Made the mistake of going to eye trend Conroe..... I picked out two pair of glasses and when getting them price with insurance it totaled almost to a thousand with insurance (never paid over $200 for two pairs). When asked why so much the crook stated I have excellent insurance but the glasses are thousands of dollars and after my insurance that's what it totaled. Glasses were some THIN nike frames. When I asked for a itemized receipt it got really weird. The thousands of dollars wasn't no where on the receipt. read more

If you want to go home and wonder why the heck you went there and waste your money and you might just rather be blind, this is the place. This last visit was great. Everyone was fantastic and patient with me, as I know I can be an obnoxious pain in the rump. I try, I really do.. Got my eyes checked, made sure they will not explode in my head, and looked at frames. Decided to use my old frames as I like them best. read more

Absolutely worst experience I've ever had anywhere waited almost an hour after my eye exam appointment time just to be seen, and then spent the next hour and a half taking scans of my eyes and then redoing them again for whatever reason. I only needed to see the doctor for 15 minutes, by the time it was time for me to choose frames for my glasses it seemed like the staff was just trying to keep me there for even longer, describing frames and talking to other customers before finishing with me. In total it was a little over 2 1/2 hours and it's the last time i'll do business with them. read more

I loved the doctor and the lady that assisted me with my sons glasses my only issue was the cashier. She didn't communicate the price well and I heard $1,022 so I gave her $1100 (I'm self pay) she proceeded to say it was $1,122 so I gave her another $100. Making the total I gave her $1200, then the girl that helped with the glasses came and told her to correct something with my son's exam and she said oh that's going to drop the cost. She mutters an amount of like $900 something and proceeds to give me $100 back and puts the rest in her teller. She prints my receipt and I'm contemplating like did this chick just keep $100 so when I get my receipt, I asked her the total and she said it was 9something (because she printed out two receipts breaking down everything so there wasnt a grand total) and I said well I gave you $1200 and she said yeah I gave you money back. She proceeded to count her teller and she in fact had an additional $100 in her teller. She had such a rude look like i did wrong. Idk if she was trying to steal it or maybe she isn't good at counting? But if dealing with money is your job, Don't be dumb. My husband and I work hard for our income! read more

Paid nearly $200 for my sons frames for same day pickup. Was called to come in a pickup his frames. Eye trends put my sons lens in the wrong frames. We were told they could remake them and to come pick them up next week. No compensation for the inconvenience this caused. No apology for their mistake. Careless optical staff. Please beware , Eye Trends takes your money without delivering a product in return when it's expected. read more

I find them very good in customer service I know today is Saturday and they are very busy but they handled every customer very good!! Ms. Courtney the Optician helped me chose which eyeglasses fits me nice since this will be my very first reading glass ;)) This location is far better than the The Woodlands Branch especially the people working there they are very busy talking than being attentive to their customers:)) read more

03June22 - I am very disappointed in my latest experience with Eye Trends and do not recommend them. I would go to Walmart, TSO or any other before I will go back to Eye Trends. I went to Eye Trends two years ago and had the wonderful experience of working with Dr. Ins. He gave me extremely personalized attention and discussed my exam findings as though I was family. He personally then handed me over to one of his opticians who, again treated me very personably. While I paid more for my new glasses than I have ever had to pay before, by nearly double, I felt it was worth the service. Well, Dr. Ins has retired. And my experience this time was absolutely nothing like two years ago. The eye exam was very rushed. In the process of glasses selection, there was a very hard push for upselling. When my glasses came in the prescription was wrong... I could not read the card put in front of me. I was told it was because I had not purchased the "no glare" additive to my lenses, to which I answered that makes no sense. New exam by the same very rushed doctor. Said the prescription was wrong so will order new lenses. No apologies... two more weeks for glasses. Went in today to pick up new glasses, they rushed through the fitting, the lens was smudged, no cleaning, no nice case and cleaning cloth. Was told the cleaning cloth is given only with the anti-glare lenses, but I could purchase one from them for $2. I rushed out to avoid saying something I would regret as a Christian. Advice of the day: No need to pay more at Eye Trends when the service is poor. read more

Thorough, professional and attentive. Good with kids too. I wouldn't go anywhere else for vision checks. Not a great selection of frames if you're very style conscious, but you can get your vision checked here & then get your frames elsewhere if they don't have what you want. read more

The staff here is always so friendly and accommodating. The doctors are very knowledgeable and very good at explaining things in terms that you understand. They make sure that you have an enjoyable visit from start to finish. I ended up getting lasik and had my follow up care taken care of here! Just picked up my glasses, two pairs, which they checked for me. Turned out the script was incorrect. The optical department took the glasses and put the correct Perscription in both pairs for no charge. Did it take three visits to get it right? Yes But bottom line is it is now correct. beware- you will not be seen on time. literally, my appt was at 1:40. i arrived at 1:20. wasn't seen by techs for the testing until 2:15, then sat in a room for over an hour waiting for anyone to come in. as i am waiting, eye trends calls to tell me my daughter's glasses are ready- great so since i am here, i'll just go grab them... people are the desk are absolutely incompetent.... and rude.... they said, no they are not ready we told you this. . excuse me, you just freaking called me saying they are.... ignorance at its finest. .... so a simple exam has taken over 2 hours ....because they let all the doctors go to lunch at the same time at 2pm?. not very smart... do not go here. the people are terrible, the doctor is terrible, they are too busy sitting in a room on their phones than attending to an office full of people.... they are truly pathetic and only care about money...... read more

I've been bringing my whole squad up here to Eye Trends since our 2016 Conroe arrival. We started in Spring and used the Louetta office for our yearly everything. There was no particular reason that we chose it besides I passed that location everyday back and forth to work. The service there was fine and quite normal, long wait, limited options (talking about glasses on the CHEAP end, like under $100) and the doctors felt new every year. Maybe the last example isn't normal. Sooooo, moved to Conroe, saw Eye Trends and knew that is where we'd go. It has been much the same as the Spring office. We still wait 20-30min to be called back and another 10-15min before the good "Dr. Optometrist" sees us. Still have limited options for the frugal patient. Yup, three years and we've seen at least three different doctors. I was impressed by the most recent doctor asking questions about my MS diagnosis. Really impressed that she even asked because most don't. She even gave me advice for optical neuritis. read more

If you're looking to be taken advantage of and screwed over, this is the perfect place for you! I went in for a simple eye exam and was totally caught off guard by the exam price. They waited until I had to pay to tell me that my insurance wouldn't be covering the whole visit after charging me on/ upselling me on lenses. Other places I've been to before usually tell you if your insurance covers their services upfront but not this place :^) they also tried to charge me an additional $130 for a treatment I didn't even get!!! Had to argue with the optician to take it off the bill. Will never return to this place again. read more

Went in for my appointment on Tuesday and Jacob took GREAT care of me! He was very time efficient, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. This place is awful. I had to change my doctor due to insurance. They checked my eyes and rather than leaving my prescription the same or stronger, they decreased the strength. I tried my complementary contacts which weren't correct as I thought. I went back to get my old prescription and it took forever for the girl at the desk to work this out. Then, they brought me the wrong brand of contacts which I can't wear. NOW u also ordered glasses which cost over $400. I ordered them and paid for them on August 5. They are still not in. Today is the 25th! I was told it would take 7-10 days. My original doctor was do much better. The girls at the front desk could care less. I talked with 2 before I could even get the correct contacts. Now I need to go back to see where my glasses are. If you call them, they never call back read more

Made an appt. day before and gave eye insurance info. to staff at Conroe location. When I got to their office they informed me my insurance would not pay them and offered me a false discount based on extra high rates . I had ask for a call if there was a problems with my insurance and they took my cell # said they would. They did not call, the appt. was in the middle of my 1 day off a week and that was wasted. Horrible service. The actual doctor was good. First they couldn't get my appointment right. Blamed it on the new girl. Didn't do my contact exam like they were supposed to and immediately ushered us into optical/ glasses dept and started trying to sell us stuff from there discount section. I was planning on buying new frames and lenses and contacts. My current frames are Vera Bradley, I pay out of pocket. I walked out with prescriptions only. They never even gave me the option to pick my own frames. My daughter was getting frames too and they called after I left upset to tell me they didn't know when they would be ready and to call them. I went back and pick up her prescription as well. I will give my money to people who are nice to me. I had started to cry because I got upset and nobody would even make eye contact with me. Eye Trends Doctor's are nice , However , the billing department afterwards is a nightmare. These people took our care credit card and instead of deducting the amount they gave us the amount as a credit. It was never noticed nor were we given a phone call or letter in the mail. Nobody ever expects a credit on their credit card. One year later we come back and find out not only do we owe 230.00 for the glasses I walked out with but the additional 230.00 credit they gave the credit card. We now owed them 460.00 dollars. When we went to take care of the bill we paid the full amount of 460 dollars. Aware and concerned we watched the billing closely on the credit card and sure enough guess what they did a second time. They gave us a credit for 460.00 , AGAIN , The bottom line is whoever is punching the buttons does not know what they are doing. The most ignorant accountants imaginable. What a billing nightmare. TWICE. TWICE they did this. A second time is inexcuseable. read more

So I was in town and was told my contacts would be ready in a week, a little over a week went by and I decided to check and see if my contacts were in,the lady that answered the phone sighed very exaggeratedly and asked my information in a very bored and annoyed tone. She said she didn't know if they were in yet. Instead of getting up and checking she just repeated that she didn't know and told me they would call when they got there. Not even 30 minutes later,as I got home, I received a call saying they were ready. The laziness and impolite manner of answering was shocking. I had never received such horrible service here before and am frankly quite shocked that they lowered they're standards for hiring employees. read more
