When I went in, I knew that my vision was bad and that I had an astigmatism. The exam went okay and Dr. Taylor told me he that he was going to have to order me a special lens for my left eye. He never mentioned that the special lens was going to be a toric lens. I have tried a toric lens three times and I do not like them. When I found out, I asked to be switched to a regular lens. Sansbury refused to write a new prescription without another exam. It was less than a week since I had my eyes examined. I was sent out with a lens I cannot wear and my eyesight in that eye is -11.50. In my opinion, they did not care that I cannot see without a lens in that eye. That was the worst customer service I have ever had at a medical facility. I will not return and I advise anyone considering Sansbury to be very wary.

I have been a patient of Dr. Parks for a few years, and aside from the occasional long wait during…read moreappointments, I haven't had any major issues with the practice--until recently. My frames broke, and I brought them in for repair, expecting a turnaround time of a week or two. Instead, the process took over two months. During that time, I contacted the office multiple times and was repeatedly given inaccurate information. On one occasion, I was told that we had spoken at the end of May and that I had agreed to come pick up my glasses--this conversation never occurred. I was then told my glasses would be mailed to me via USPS on a Wednesday and that I would receive them by that Friday. They never arrived. The following Wednesday, I went to the office in person, only to be told the staff member I needed to speak with had stepped out for lunch. After my name was pulled up in the system, the same staff member appeared shortly after. She admitted she had forgotten to send my glasses and offered a $4.00 gift card as compensation for the inconvenience. That gesture felt dismissive and inadequate given the delay of over two months and the lack of honesty throughout the process. I expressed that these experiences made me question whether I would return to the practice at all. I was originally referred to this office, but based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending it to others.

She VERY…read morepatiently guided me through trying contacts versus glasses, and she helped me identify and fix a medical issue I was having with my eyes that I had just dismissed as allergic irritation. I respect and admire her passion for her work and for helping her patients. It's apparent she spends a lot of time learning and staying on top of medical developments that can help her patients. The technology for testing in the office is extensive. All of the staff I've interacted with in the office have been friendly and welcoming. The office building is attractive, clean, and welcoming, too. It's a little bit of a drive for me from downtown Columbia, but it's well worth it.
