I've been going here my entire life, and I've had glasses since the first grade. So I might be a little biased. But I wouldn't go anywhere else. Most importantly - if you need to get your child fitted for contacts - GO HERE. Tina the contact lens trainer can train /any/ child how to wear contacts. Or anyone really for that matter. She will spend as long as it takes to get you to figure it out. Dr. Stoller is very thorough and meticulous, be aware he will take longer than your normal 'churn and burn' optometrist office to make sure that your prescription is correct and you won't be coming back still unable to see. If you want perfectionism, he's it. The frame dispensers are also very nice and will actually help you to find a frame that suits /your/ face, rather than just trying to sell you something expensive. Because I mean, how can you tell what looks good on your own face when you can't see!? read more

In my adult life, I have seen many different opticians. I tend to be a little critical and expect good service, as well as a doctor who truly knows what he/she is doing. I had not been able to find both of these things UNTIL I came to Eye Care Optometry. I have been coming to Eye Care Optometry for two years now and I couldn't be happier with the care and service they provide for my eyes. I see Dr. Stoller who is an wonderful optician. He has a nice personality and really knows what he's doing. Out of all the years I have been having my eyes checked, I have never had an optician actually dilate my eyes and look INSIDE the eye to make sure that they were healthy. That was until I started seeing Dr. Stoller. When I first started seeing Dr. Stoller, he found that I had some holes on my retina in both eyes and needed to see a retinal specialist. This is something that wouldn't have been caught by the other opticians I've seen in the past because they've never dilated my eyes, and I also could have risked losing some of my vision in the future had the holes not been taken care of. The exams performed at Eye Care Optometry are very thorough, so you do end up spending a little extra time in the office, but it's definitely worth it. All of the staff are also very pleasant and helpful. If you're looking for glasses or contacts, the girls are knowledgeable, friendly, and can help you find something in just about any price range. I've also found that their prices for contacts are very much in line with what you can find online. They also carry brand-new contacts that are just on the market that most other offices don't have right away, which is nice. Their office is also very comfortable, clean, well maintained, and there is ample parking. Also, their hours should work for just about anyone as they're open late some nights of the week and also offer weekend appointments. I have always been able to schedule an appointment quickly. Myself and my 3 children have been coming to this office for 10 years. I would never go anywhere else. In the past I went to the big name places, coming out of there spending tons of money and wondering why when I had great insurance through my employer. The doctors are VERY thorough and both have such great personalities they make my kids feel so relaxed its almost fun. My youngest is legally blind and they explained to me his condition and what he will need to do in the future. They really take the time to do the job right. The staff in the frames selection area are also wonderful. They are very patient and never make you feel rushed when trying to decide on frames and I am so indecisive! I had one bad experience with one of the ladies (who is no longer there I don't think) she over charged me by misquoting my insurance, and told me something was not covered when it actually was but by the time I realized the mistake it was weeks later so I just let it go. I had called to see if they take my insurance and they said yes. One month later they called to say the doctor would be away that week and reschedule me for a month away. And then the week of call me and tell me they "don't" take my insurance. And I kept saying I had a certain insurance after I told them 3 different times what insurance I had. I use to go here over 25 years ago. I started going to the big name places but realized that the prescriptions were not as good as Eye Care. So I decide to go back to Eye Care, and thank God I did. The optometrist saw that my nerves were bunched up in my right eye. So she sent me to an optomologist to be on the safe side. He found pseudo tumors and I was rushed to the hospital. They had to relieve the pressure. My doctor aid they caught it early so there was no damage and we can work on it. Glad I left the big name brand stores that are in a hurry to take your money and get you out. read more

I had an appointment for my son here last monday and for the most part the place is nice and they offer some pretty nice styles of glasses and the doctor was pretty patient with my son even though hes only 6 and a bit on the hyper side. So that i was comfortable with. But the issue i had was the way you are spoken too by the ladies at the front desk. They are extremely rude. Especially the one with the reddish tint to her hair and Kinda older looking. We were in the room and he was in the middle of the peripherals test and she barged in the room without knocking or anything and says to the nurse are you done and she responded that she was 80 %done with the left eye. And still needed to do the right. So the lady tells the nurse o well i need this room now and kicked us out. So after my sons eye exam as well as dialating his eyes we had to go finish the test and the appointment last for three hours and by the end of it my son was extremly frustrated with being there as was i because yet again i have to speak with the front desk to make an appointment because the doctor wanted to see him with his glasses when they came in and was spoken to disrespectfully.I dont see a reason for them to be so rude. Its as if the patients presence is an inconvenience to them. You really need to have good patience to have an appointment here. read more

Worst possible customer service I have ever experienced. I waited nearly an hour to merely order glasses that I had all of the information ready for, which should have taken five minutes. However, the staff continued to skip over my name and help the patients who signed in after me. When they weren't busy helping the other patients, the staff just sat there and talked with each other while I waited to be helped. These people seemed completely incompetent and regardless of the fact that I have been coming here for years, I now refuse to return because this place is going downhill fast. I arrived 20 minutes prior to my appointment to get registration taken care of and they ended up giving me the paperwork after my appointment time. No biggie. The examination itself with the doctor was thorough but everything in between was unorganized. I was solely directed to wait in the lobby while the doctor examined me on and off. The assistant put drops in my eyes to dilate them before my second examination (same visit) but I was never told to choose my frame while waiting beforehand. I was told to chose a frame while dilated (almost impossible) and I am left with horrible frames because I couldn't see right to pick, and thick lenses in which I paid $88 to be thin. I am only dissatisfied with that part, having to chose while dilated. My lens could be thick because of the strength of my prescription but it's no different in size then what I paid somewhere else for regular lenses. Now I have to pay more out of pocket to get more appealing frames, probably somewhere else. read more

Looking for a new eye care clinic. Though the Drs. at eye care one do fine, the office staff have become increasingly less competent over time. They may be understaffed but I can no longer deal with a low level of customer service. I particularly don't care for the way they expect you to yell out your birthdate to them. This place is horrible. The only person that was pleasant to speak with was the last lady. Unfortunately, I can not remember her name. But she is the lady that helps you choose your frames. The Doctor and the rest of the staff are arrogant and ignorant. I should not have to argue with my eye doctor that I do NOT want my eyes dilated. He argued with me for about 10 minutes stating that I had no choice in the matter. Um sorry I am a grown adult and have the choice to not have it done, especially since I had to go to work. Then on top of that I was told that I HAD to get safety frames instead of normal frames because if anything happens to my good eye I will have to rely on my bad eye. Um no. I am in no career field where I will need safety frames that look like construction glasses. On top of all that I felt extremely uncomfortable with the doctor. Not only did he seem to get WAY too close for comfort. He told me that I was the cause of him having to repeat tests. Sorry but I have been going to the eye doctor since I was a baby. I am pretty sure that I know how the tests are done and what to do. This place is utterly ridiculous. I would not recommend going here for your eye exam or glasses. read more
