Wow! I have always been very happy with the care I have…read morereceived from Dr. Michael McGrath and the exceptional staff at the Farmington Vision Clinic, now I have even more a reason. I got out of bed this morning and stepped right on my glasses bending the plastic frame beyond repair. With a vacation coming quickly, I got in the car and drove to the clinic without even thinking to phone first. First of all, the entire staff is fantastic, however, Judy came to my rescue! She searched through two boxes of discontinued frames until she located a match for my broken ones. She told me to sit and it might be 10 minutes. She came back in less than that with a pair of new frames with my lenses installed! I tried them on and after Judy made a few adjustments I was ready for my vacation. And I only had to pay for the new frames! Consistence, quality and genuine friendliness will keep me returning for each checkup and replacement glasses. And it's easy to make a referral with such great service. Greg Kay

With prescription in hand I went to their office to get a pair of glasses. When I got them back,…read morethey were prescription sunglasses. They sent them back and new ones arrived quickly. Supposedly Flexon, they broke in half as I was putting them on within two weeks. Now it gets interesting... When I took them back they had no record of me being there or the glasses in hand. They offered no solution other than to buy another pair of glasses! Be leery of this place and make sure you get a written receipt of all services. I won't be back. There are far more efficient places.

Good place to get an eye exam, with a pretty solid selection of glasses. The optometrist who helped…read moreme was great and helped me find a burgundy pair of glasses that I absolutely love (Bebe brand). They initially told me it would take about two weeks for my glasses to arrive, but both pairs came in sooner than expected, which was a nice surprise. Tip: Pick up your glasses on a weekday or during a less busy time to avoid waiting in line. That said, even when it was busy, the staff was thoughtful and came over to ask if we wanted to sit instead of standing. The first pickup on a weekday there was no line! Overall, a pleasant experience!

I've noticed that my glasses aren't as helpful as they used to be, so I decided it was time to…read morereturn to OptimEyes. (With the encouragement of the messages they'd left me.) I didn't realize that OptimEyes and the Henry Fort Ophthalmolgy were separate; the last time I was there, it was all the same people. They asked me which I was there for, and then the rather curt assistant said, "Well, it must be OptimEyes because we don't have anybody until 1:00." So, I walked a few feet down to the other end OF THE SAME DESK and a very nice woman checked me in. I waited for less than 5 minutes before they called me. I didn't get the name of the technician (a tall woman with short silver hair and lots of fun pins on her shirt), but she was very pleasant and fun to talk to. She did all of the pre-exam stuff and the puff of air thing. I'm probably the only person in the world who likes that! After that, I waited in a room for maybe 10-15 minutes for the intern to come in. He was really good as well. (I forgot his name.) And then, Dr. Jimenez came in, and he went over what the intern did, re-checked a couple things and sent me on my way. Everybody there (with the exception of the first person at the Welcome desk) was so nice, patient and kind. Even after trying on a dozen pair of frames and then deciding that the glasses were more than I wanted to spend, the assistant was very understanding. I will definitely continue to go there.

I came here today for an eye exam, it was my first time here but it's where my husband goes and he…read morerecommends it. I used to see an ophthalmologist in Birmingham, but our insurance doesn't cover it and it's a little bit far of a drive now for me anyways. I have a condition where my eyes are cone-shaped; because of that, Visionworks recommended me going to a specialist. If I constantly have to go to this place and the specialist, I probably will not go to this place, but we'll see. I thought the eye exam was thorough and well done. Our insurance covers $300 for frames so I ordered some new glasses, my current ones are probably five years old or older so I definitely need a new pair. I was already in the area so I arrived for my appointment a bit early. My husband arrived five or 10 minutes late one time and they turned him away so be aware that they are pretty punctual. My guess is because I think they just have the one doctor for eye exams. They had a nice selection of glasses as well, if you're looking to get new glasses. I would return to this location, but I will admit I missed my old ophthalmologist and the nice waiting room, etc.

Previously I've had no problem with this place but recently it's just been bad. The lady working…read morethere messed up my glasses by putting an old prescription and then I had to go back 3 times to get the glasses. When I arrived to pick up the glasses there were people waiting for their appointments that they were waiting for, for almost half an hour. No "sorry we will be right with you" not even eye contact, nothing. Had to wait for a while.

The glasses were delivered within the timeframe that was originally promised. That is where the good comments end. The glasses that were given to me to be fitted were totally unacceptable. The room was a blur. I needed the test card 5 or 6 inches from my face to read it. The only clear vision was across the room outside the window. I told the young lady that the glasses were totally unacceptable and I could see much better with my old glasses. She kept insisting that they were fine and I had to get used to them with time. When I pointed out how useless the bifocals were, she said that seamless trifocals might be the solution. I repeated several times that the glasses were totally unacceptable and I wasn't going to argue with her. Instead of referring this to the doctor (that was not seeing a patient at the time.) - she continued to insist that "I needed to get used to them". I have been wearing glasses my entire life and NEVER have refused a new pair of glasses. I told her a final time that I was not going to argue with her and got up and walked out without the new glasses. I have talked with my insurance carrier and was told after issuing a complaint that I cannot be covered to go to a different eye doctor for new glasses for a year because Dr Roy Wilson's exam used up my coverage. It would be totally out of pocket for another exam for glasses.
