I get to office to see Dr Reed,…read moreand Zoe at front desk said they had not verified my insurance, and that is my responsibility, not theirs. I did not want to pay $350 out of pocket with insurance; I said I would have verified it before I scheduled. They had me sit to side while I called insurance company. When I first called, they were checking people in and all I needed was the NPI number, but they couldn't stop to give it to me. So after they dealt with all the patients, Zoe gave me NPI number, went to back to check with clinical supervisor, Di, and came back and said that I would have to reschedule. If she would have given me 1.5 minutes to make the phone call, I could have submitted the NPI number and have had an answer ASAP. Instead, I had to wait for them to talk with 3 other groups of patients and then tell me I'd have to reschedule. I heard them telling another group of people that it would be at least two months before they could see the same doctor I needed to see. My husband and mother are both patients of this practice; I remember there being an issue with my husband coming here previously with them billing incorrectly; it was incompetence on their part. My family and I will no longer be coming to Shoreline. I could tell that Zoe was frustrated, but she tried to be nice. It's not her fault that standard procedure is not verifying insurance before the patient arrives, but it would have been helpful if I could have had that 1.5 minutes to call, enter npi #, and find the info they needed--that was automated. She did tell me that pre-verification by calling insurance company was a HIPPA violation, but I've never had that issue with any other office. I've always had doctor/ophthalmologist offices verify or call insurance if they were not able to verify electronically. Post appointment, I checked current HIPPA laws, and they have not changed; verification of insurance can be done via phone on a secure line. Shoreline lost 3 patients today.

This is the best fitness center in the area, started by a local hospital, the trainers are all…read moreprofessional, and are all well educated.There are other gyms in the area but they all seem to have this "meathead" stigma, which Tamarac does not have, you will see all sorts of different people there of all sizes and ages, and the employees treat everyone equally. It's a little busy in the morning, but It's rarely a full house, you should be able to finish your strength training set without much interruption. There is plenty of cardio equipment too, I've never seen that area completely full either, which is nice :-) I myself usually try to go in the morning before work, the gym can be a little full then, but it's certainly doable. They did not scrimp on facilities, Cardio and strength training equipment is from Star Trac, they have the Fitlinxx system integrated into their equipment which is great for tracking your workouts. The locker rooms are kept very clean, the showers are spotless and well built and maintained and the buildings design is very modern and upscale. I would rate it 5 stars, but their hours of operation have been cut a bit, it's pretty easy to get in and have a good workout during the week, but they're closed on sundays, and close at 6PM on saturday which is a shame. The Aquatics schedule is always full too, so it's almost impossible for me to go and complete a few laps during Adult Swim. Those 2 negatives shouldn't deter anyone from checking the place out though! Their support structure is awesome, I've dropped 40lbs so far with their assistance and can't wait to see the other 100 go away too :-)

On August 16, 2026, I scheduled a virtual consultation for 1:30 PM. I was not informed beforehand that a specific Microsoft application was required. Here is the first issues, this company never informed the customer that a certain microsoft video app is needed for the virtual consultation, you dont find this out until you attempt to have the consultation. So instead of a video consultation I called the company for a phone consultation When I called for assistance, I was placed on an extended hold before being connected to a non-medical representative who was unable to answer my medical questions. There were many medical questions that he could not answer because he was not a doctor therefore he had no knowledge about. I specifically requested to speak with a doctor and was scheduled for a follow-up appointment at 3:00 PM the next day. On the morning of August 17, at 9:17 AM I called to confirm that I would be speaking with a actial physician. The rep confirmed that I would indeed be speaking to an actual doctor at 3:00 PM later today. I then asked would the company call me or should I call. I was told that I would receive a call at 3:00 PM. Despite this confirmation, I received no call at the scheduled time. When I followed up at 3:15 PM, I was again placed on a long hold. This rep looked at the notes in their system and confirmed that I was indeed scheduled to speak with an actual doctor. I then asked him if he was going to find an actual doctor. He then put me on hold, which lasted about 15 minutes. When he returned all he can do was apologize because he could not find an actual doctor or anyone for that matter for the second scheduled consultation. I then hung up the phone. Shortly after hanging up, I received a call from a representative who was rude and unprofessional, yet still not the medical professional I had been promised. The lack of coordination and failure to provide access to a qualified doctor is deeply concerning, especially given that this consultation pertains to a surgical procedure involving my eyesight. I expect a higher standard of transparency and reliability from a medical provider. I look forward to your prompt response regarding how you intend to address these systemic failures.
