** COVID-19 MASK ISSUES ** I ran into Michael's a couple…read moreof days ago and was very dismayed to pass FOUR people who either weren't wearing a mask or only partially wearing one - including a male employee and a school-aged girl - 10-12 yo. Being in a high-risk category myself, I was really annoyed by this! Regardless of people's opinions about it all, it is currently State law that anyone around others is required to wear a mask. None of us WANT to wear the annoying things, but we must for now. I trust when I enter a business that this is being enforced. Every other place I've been recently doesn't seem to have these problems- not sure why this Michael's can't control this... I am no longer comfortable going to this particular store. It's a shame, really, cuz the staff are very nice and the store is normally clean and organized. Bummer.

I came in today to exchange some items I had bought for my wife's birthday. Because I lost the receipt, I had to take 60% in credit of the sales price. No problem-- it's not their fault I lost the receipt, it's mine. But what was so glaringly one-star worthy was how painful the entire exchange was because of Magdalena's demeanor. From the sighing, to the glaring-- not only was she not friendly, she was rude! Consider saying please or thank you if you work in retail. Or if you're that unhappy working there: quit! I can't believe this is a Christian-owned business. It's quite baffling! Furthermore, they told me they couldn't take an item back because they didn't sell it anymore (meaning: it wasn't populating on their iPad). Instead of doing some due diligence or giving a consumer the benefit of the doubt, they'd made their decision: we're not taking this back! I literally had to walk all the way to the back of the store and grab the item which they still sell (pic attached) in order for them to even consider they were wrong. Oops! No "sorry about that", no "oh you're right, our fault!" Just a dull look on her face obviously disgruntled because I'm making her do "extra work." Really-- either be happy at your job OR just quit. Don't suffer others because of your lack of happiness. She said she would be able to and took my headrest and kept them for over two months. At this point she "worked" a pattern or style and sent me a practice run. Picture looked amazing but once she applied it to my head rest it was on the back and of them when I requested the front, they were not centered and looked horrible. I left her a message and she never responded. I had to use another company to try to corrects them but the poor job she did cannot be undone and my headrest for my Audi are destroyed. I will have to purchase new ones and have them done again. I will have the shop All-Sew Embroidery redo the new headrests because they have awesome work, I just regret trusting a small town shop that probably lacks the experience of embroidering other items not just shirts. I have been Scammed for 80 dollars and now have to spend over 200 dollars on replacement my headrests. She claims to support veterans but she lacks integrity and the pictures don't lie. I found the EmbroidMe location on Sheridan Blvd on Yelp via a search for companies that did custom…read morehats, as well as had high ratings as I didn't want to mess around with my project--especially as I was somewhat crunched for time. I can't recall now what ultimately pushed me towards using EmbroidMe, but I'm so glad I did. Working with Denise, the manager, was an absolute pleasure. She was great with communication, and wasn't afraid to offer constructive, professional advice when I asked for it during the process of designing 15 custom hats for an alumni gathering I was attending. As this was an especially important occasion--our 25th anniversary--I had to have the hats be right the first time, and completed on-time as the gathering was out-of-state, and under two weeks away. Throughout the process, Denise was in immediate contact when any design questions came up. This was especially reassuring as they actually took a hand-drawn design I had scanned over to them (detailed picture and multiple-sized words for front and back of hat) and turned it into a stencil/template for the hats, giving it a very personalized look. I couldn't believe the quality and attention to detail in recreating my sketch. Additionally, the color-matching her team was able to produce with the embroidery? Man, it was amazing! Oh, and they were completed in plenty of time, and nailed the agreed-upon price. Denise and her team just knocked it out of the park, and my alumni buddies were blown away with the finished product. I couldn't have been more proud to share such high-quality work for the occasion, and all thanks to Denise and her team at EmbroidMe. Highly recommended, and thank you SO much, Denise!!
