They were able to take appointments for quite a way out, as well as booking appointments for soonish; I booked a pedicure with Tim right before my trip abroad, giving myself maximum time to grow out the ingrowns the last place gave me. Big place, with lots of stations and lots of professionals. Clean, light and airy. The massage chair pedicure stations faced a large flatscreen tv showing the Olympic Games. Nice! Tim didn't give me much time to soak, but was very careful not to cut my nails too short, and not to file them too much in the corners. My podiatrist would approve. Didn't take off enough callus on the ends of my pinkie toes, but that's a hard area to reach. Massage of the feet and calves with lotion was relatively brief, but used a nice lotion that didn't reek of artificial scent, like the last place. Did a beautiful job painting my nails. Fast, efficient, professional, and no pain. I was happy. Afterward, relaxed by the good experience, I asked about a manicure, and ended up seeing Tim's colleague Linh, who was awesome. She told me about gel builder, to armor my weak and brittle nails without damaging them, and I signed up. We left my short nails the color the gel builder comes in -- a nice, natural pink. Maybe now I'll actually be able to grow them out past my fingertips, without them snagging and tearing! I love how strong and smooth they are now, which is helpful in making jewelry! Located in a historical home on Main Street, the experience was a relaxing, sensory heaven with an added bonus of anti aging. I booked a 60 minute facial and peel with Lani. I was already really looking forward to it when I arrived, but as someone with a love for historic homes, stepping up to the wrap around porch made me swoon. The home is so beautiful and nostalgic, the wood floors creaking and popping underfoot, and this heavenly mixed scent of skincare/spa/baked goods...I couldn't always put my finger on the scent, but even as someone with sensory sensitivities, it was a sensory delight. Lani put me right at ease. She clearly knows her craft and I felt that I could trust her to perform a chemical peel on my face. The whole experience was so soothing and luxious, I nearly fell asleep. Afterwards, she made suggestions for follow up services to meet my skincare goals and some products to use in the healing process. There was absolutely no pressure, just suggestions, as I had also indicated on my paperwork that I was open to suggestions and recommendations. Apparently what she meant was the 25th and didn't realize that months have different amount of days in them and not every 25th is 5 days before the 1st. I didn't even care that when I signed up that they had to literally screw on a door for me to even use the bed bc the entire place was torn apartment. In fact, it was bc of this state of repair that I agreed to their "special promotional pricing", which I was told I would lose if I cancel my membership. Instead, I was told to pause my membership for $7 a month to keep my promotional pricing or it would charge me full price if I canceled and then returned some months later. So imagine my surprise when the special pricing lasted only 15 days and was then switched to full price (which was double). So now you can see why I wanted to cancel. The manager working at the time of me trying to cancel in person was Maddi Adams. She told me she didn't care what I was told...I was still going to get charged bc it was after the 25th. She then told me neither she, other managers, their corporate office, or MY bank would help me. It was at that point I asked her how old she was and when she said "20", I said I can tell. She then said "you're a bitch". I said I can tell you don't have much life experience if you think my bank isn't going to help me. FYI my bank did stop the payment and told me she 100% could have done it herself but chose to lie and say she couldn't. Now as if this experience wasn't enough...I found out the next day (today) that Maddi recorded me without my knowledge (remember she's the manager and on the clock) and made a tik tok with that recording of me in it. And she shared it with the public. I have now reported this store and Maddi to the BBB, their corporate office, and Indiana's labor department. Oh and I was advised to get a lawyer so I am looking into that.
