Well my babe wanted fried chicken and it's slim pickings in these neck of the woods. Well I did my YELP research to see what's nearby that perhaps I overlooked. Well I remember venturing to Windsor some weeks ago and across from the Dairy Queen, I remembered seeing a sign at the gas station across the street...advertising Fried Chicken. I tried calling this gas station... no luck. I called Dairy Queen and the gentleman that answered was super helpful. After a 20 min. drive I arrived on a Friday night about 6pm. The mini restaurant inside the gas station was open. I was able to pick up chicken dinners for my family. I personally did not try the fried chicken, but my dear was pleased with his meal and mentioned he would return. For the record, I did not try any food. Based on his word, check them out if you are in the area. Have fun and enjoy life :)

I always grab a cheddar soft pretzel when I see a Wawa but their grab and go hot food containers were both empty. I did order a grilled ham, egg, and cheese sandwich that was really good. The bathrooms were clean so all and all it was a good stop on our road trip.

There is a special place in my heart for both WaWa and 7-Eleven because I am used to seeing them on every corner back home. They have their differences and both are great. New Jersey has a strong presence of each, similar to the Starbucks saturation of the North West. They share the sometimes gas pump locations. Slevens have lottery while WaWas do not. WaWas have restrooms while Slevens do not. The similarities are that they are both great and a little competition is good. "The Good" - The staff are great. They are friendly and smiling and are always fast with a sincere "How are you doing?" - Refer back to my review of Bill's Hot Dogs concerning the police cruisers. This location is very police cruiser friendly. - Slurpees .... like you need more of a reason to visit a Sleven. - We are far enough below the Mason-Dixon to have Beer and Wine sold here. - This location has a gas station attached. - Lottery. You can't win if you don't play. "The Meh" - ATM even though there is a fee if it is not your bank. "The Bad" - The one thing that sets WaWa apart from the entire chain of Slevens is the ATM charge. WaWa does not charge you a fee if it is not your bank.
