Must be good…read more Got a message on Sunday that necessitated a trip from Cornelius NC to Linville NC and I was almost out of gas when I got to Boone and this was the first gas station I hit. It's good, clean and part of the Circle K group and the prices are competitive with other stores in the area. Filled up on Sunday and was pleased with the service even though there are a number of mega stations just down the road. Today we drove my wife's car to the funeral and this station is on the same road as the Church so we stopped in. Same great service and while smaller than their newer competition just down the road, they do prove a level of service that is hard to match.

Stumbled upon this on our way out to Boone for an…read moreafternoon of outdoor adventures when life happened at the most inconvenient time... fortunately for us this place is here! and they've got gas and snacks and coffee and "everything" ;-) along with the usual assortment of stuff in the usual quantities for the usual prices except beer (and maybe wine)... which is the second oddest thing except that the store has recently changed ownership and the beer and wine permit hasn't been approved yet so even though there is plenty of beer (and maybe wine) available on site it can't be sold (or even given away.) go figure?! The other thing: So as we pulled in we saw a couple folks leaning on a pickup with a trailer on which a motorcycle was strapped down hard, and in the back of the truck are two kinda low slung lawn chairs. Two other people walk up to them and they all appear to exchange pleasantries when two of 'em gets up in the back of the truck and sits down in the chairs while the other two get in the cab, start the truck, and drive off with their "friends" in back in totally unsecured lawn furniture... guess you have to know your priorities.
