Super clean restrooms and very friendly people! One of my favorite stops on our cross-country trip so far.

The pharmacy is okay, but if I need meds I will just get them from the local VA hospital as they…read moreare much faster, and deliver regular refills to your home. They have a fair assortment of lotions, food powders and the like. A rather large portion of the store is dedicated to make-up for some reason as well. There is a meager toy section that is VERY overpriced so veer the children away from it. Animal food etc., is bare bones and about the same as you'd find at Big Lots. Some greeting/birthday cards as well as gift bags etc., for those of us who totally buy a gift the day of a birthday because we forgot. Great selection of regular over-the-counter medicines near the pharmacy. The food aisles are packed full of unhealthy food. I mean I understand having them there as a convenience, but this Walgreens in its current location serves as a grocer for a lot of lower income people nearby and they should have access to healthier foods rather than garbage that's saturated in fat and sodium. Speaking of healthy, why does a pharmacy sell tobacco products still? It's rather strange to me. The store is clean, and the staff is alright (they can be curt sometimes). The hours are a big draw as there are a great deal of late night boozehounds/meth-heads that meander from the dive hotels nearby so be on your toes. There can be some seedy people in the area.

Go to Walmart. Worse Walgreens I've ever been to. My son was out of meds so I specifically asked if…read morethey would be able to get what he needs. They said yes. Two days later I call and check, not only did they put in the script late, when they realized they couldn't get it they didn't even call me. I had to call them. I told them it would have been nice for a call and they said, "yep you're right." And didn't even care. I go to Walmart to get the script filled and Walmart tells me that Walgreens shouldn't have even accepted the script because certain laws apply to this type of medicine. Thankfully, Walmart worked with me and we got it fixed. This place is also dirty, unprofessional and just horrible customer service. Especially by the pharmacy, they cuss in front of patients. Say private information out loud. Horrible horrible.

Ok I mainly checked into these places because as weird as this sounds, truck stops on long ass…read moretrips are somehow homey to me. You walk in and see all kinds of people! They have almost everything you need especially stuff to make you happy after hours and hours on the road with one of the hardest people to travel with lol. I loved them this time (again) because on my last cross country road trip, I decided to buy magnets in every state we stopped in. I started it late and started in Wyoming last time. This time, I started in Georgia. I basically got the same state magnets hahahaha, with the exception of a few new ones. This place was FANTASTIC! Right away I was like OMG I love the vintage look! I am a huge fan of historical places or places like this that was built in the 70s of 80s and has never changed lol. I could be wrong but the 80s vibes were so strong with this one. The place was, Ima say this in my Bette Davis voice (totally just gave myself away lol) but one of her famous lines "WHATA. DUMP!" Because it was kinda lol. It was so old. Did this bother me? Hell no! Not to mention it had PROBABLY the best souvenir section. They had an entire little area carved out for all kinds of kitschy shit and several state souvenirs to choose from. They didn't have the state I was in tho. BOOOO! Then again, this was a common occurrence in many truck stops unfortunately. I did buy magnets for states that I was either already in and couldn't find them while there or states I was headed to lol. I'm such an old woman hahaha! Bottom line, this place was awesome. If they had 80s and 90s music playing it would have been the best truck stop ever hahaha! The staff was fantastic too. I asked for help from one girl and she was like "I should t suggest this but try...." and I was like ..why say it like that? She's like...because fn hate that place, I used to work there and ugh omg..." Right away I was like..:LOVVVVE this person! Haha! I added the pics to show you the vintage looks. Nostalgia is big with me. Probably because the current state of the world/country is so depressing. So visiting places like this takes you back to an easier time in life if just for only like 10-15 mins. Not sure what else to say. It's a truck stop lol. If you're traveling through the Midwest, chances are you will stop here or see and be like..."hmm, looks rundown, let's go to the next one. Let's go to LOVES! Of Flying J!" Sure those are ok, they're everrryhwhere but places like this, ones that have survived the equivalent to the way Walmart took over, (LOVES and Flying J being the Walmart's for those who couldn't catch on lol) but for places like this that have survived a corporate takeover in TruckstopLandia, are the places that should be visited. Who cares that they are vintage, and 'lived in' That's what makes them so much better! Plus you get to get help from employees that are REAL people! The best kind! Safe Travels, Yelpinnies! Cheers!

This is a great truck stop. They have a lot of parking. There is a chrome shop, restaurant,…read moreWendy's, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen and bagel shop. There is a huge convenience store and laundry room. Showers are available.
