Back in the day, a gentleman ran that place like he owned it and it was the Taj Mahal. He was the most friendly soul, would talk your ears off, but that place was in tip top shop. Not sure what ever happened to him, but it is such a shame that he is no longer there. He was fantastic. The manager today is not bad at all, in fact he is a nice guy, but I think he has been dealt some challenges that I am not sure he is able to properly deal with a a higher level. 1) the old fountain drink machine was fine. It always worked. There were never issues and in fact, it gave the best soda to syrup ratio of any machine at any Circle K, and they have the best sodas. Today, that drink machine stays more broken than a McDonalds soft serve machine and that is saying something. I am not sure why they replaced it, but what they replaced it with was apparently pulled from the wreckage of the titanic. Please, service this machine, clean it, and properly maintenance and stock it. Even when it is working, there is perpetually an out of order sign on it for a particular drink. 2) Uplift and clean the store. Often times it is disheveled, the bathrooms are out of order or trash needs to be handled. Again, I do not own, manage, or attend in a service station today, so I am unaware of the challenges it faces today, but my father, and grandfather before him, owned a full service gas station through my formative years. I know it is not easy to have the right people in the right places, but this one is in desperate need of some tender loving care. I hate this. I truly loved this place back in the day.

So I sanitized my hands, put on my mask, and proceed inside the store. When I walked in, there was a black lady standing behind the counter and a white man with a ponytail stocking the aisles in the store. I explained to her that I needed a receipt because it did not print at the pump. She handed me the receipt and I said thank you. She didn't say good morning, you're welcome, have a nice day or anything. However the white man with the ponytail stocking, as I begin to leave said I hope you have a great day miss. The 2 stars are STRICTLY for him. I understand people have bad days, but a simple "hello" or "you're welcome" would have sufficient especially when you're in the customer service role.
