I had a bad night that ended with me and my three kids stuck on the shoulder of I-40 near 15-501. I had to leave my minivan for the night and the next morning I called a tow company that quoted me $85 just to come out and $5/mile. Thanks to Yelp reviewers, I called Reliable and I got quoted a flat rate of $85 that I think was based on the size of the car. Rick said he needed the key and would come to my house to pick it up in about 20 minutes. I had to drop my kids off and thought I had time but he got there in about 12 minutes and called me when he arrived. He didn't mind waiting on me and went to get some breakfast around the corner (which he offered to leave once I called to say I was home but I insisted he go ahead and eat since it was my fault for the delay). He was very nice and polite. He took my car to the service shop I requested and even gave me a courtesy call to say that he had delivered it. I would totally recommend Reliable and use them again in the future. Very classy and courteous. read more

Mr. Ricky Brown is as the name says, Reliable. The only thing better they could have called the company was Reliable, Best Price in Durham, and greatest customer service Towing Service but that is much too long for a business card. I had to have my fiance's Jeep Wrangler towed from her home in Raleigh to my place in Durham due to unsafe issues with the axle. Called him at 5:10pm on a Friday and he was ready to help. It didn't matter about rush hour nor most folks off duty hours he was on it for the same price he quoted me around lunch. Did not worry with loading cost and price per mile just a flat fee. Believe me I want service in a service industry but I also don't have a ton of extra money so I checked around and he was the cheapest. So when I say look no further just give him a call, you can look but you will just be wasting your time. Price, customer service, and reliability all in one place. Thank you again Mr. Brown. read more

A couple of days ago my car died for good. I did some research and found Reliable Towing to be the cheapest service for where I was and needed to go. It was also the only towing service that stated they could bring my car onto the weight scale in the scrap yard where I was planning on selling it (the scrap yard said the tow truck would have to do it, and the three other towing companies that I contacted said the scrap yard would have to handle it). I asked if him if I could meet around 3pm, and he said to call him when I was close to the car. When I got to the parking lot, a few minutes late, he was already there! And here's the best part: he actually suggested another company - right on the spot - that bought the car for $75 more than the scrap yard would have. The driver - the same person I talked to on the phone - was very polite and helpful the entire time. It was overall a great experience. read more

CALL THIS MAN!! Nobody else IMO. This is the tow truck company you always wish you could get. Cool calm and centered describes the proprietor Ricky who has a way about him that envelops you with safe, professional, and caring service. I never gave a second thought to turning over my precious car to his care while loading and unloading . He was gracious enough to allow my shedding dog in his clean cabin, caring for my pet"s welfare as well as mine. Seriously, I was tearing up as it felt so good for Ricky to rescue us and give us aid and drink. The company equipment is in excellent shape and has equipment to handle everything from $100,000 show cars to your humble ride. NO RESERVATION on Five Star ratings people, call him!! read more

I am blown away by the prompt response and outstanding customer service. I called for a tow because my car would not show any signs of life, Ricky responded, gave some suggestions. car started immediatetly. Most towing services show up, load vehicle and transport to specified location, which is Ok, Ricky could have done the same, collected his fee and been on his way. Instead he went above and beyond, saved me much trouble and money. I always have used a certain towing service but gave Reliable Towing a try and I was not disappointed. While I hope to not have much use for towing but should I ever need a tow Reliable Towing is the only one I will call. read more

I called Reliable Towing a few weeks ago because i needed to get my crappy car to my mechanics house. I called the nice gentleman and he answered right away. He asked for my address and my mechanics. The price was way more affordable than others i've researched landing at $65! He got to my house in about 20 minutes and carefully loaded my car unto the truck. When he got it all packed up, i asked for a reciept and he kindly wrote one out for me. I asked him if he could call me when the car arrived and he did just that! Thanks Reliable Towing for being exactly what i needed! I would definitely call them if i ever need towing again! no hassel! read more

Very nice man offering competitive prices for towing. Unlike other places that offer a base fee and per mile charge, Ricky just gave me a flat amount, cheaper than the competition. Reliable towing certainly lives up to its name as I was met on time and had my car towed to where I needed it within an hour on a snowy day. The payment procedure was short and simple, just one swipe and we were done. Ricky even checked in my car at the shop for me where I had it towed, saving me a trip. Do not hesitate to call Ricky for your towing needs. He's great and makes you feel comfortable throughout the towing process. read more

ABSOLUTELY TOP-NOTCH. Always outstanding!---meticulous, on time, polite, professionals who get the job done right. I have a vintage Porsche 911 in pristine condition. She is my pride and joy. Mr. Ricky and Kasey have both been the #1 go-to for getting my beautiful car to the Raleigh shop all the way from Chapel Hill. Outstanding equipment, attention to detail and no bumps/scrapes etc. The price is worth the peace of mind and excellent service--they treat my car with kid gloves. You can tell they are car-lovers themselves. Far exceeds your average towing service. Highly recommended. read more

Great service - true to its name. I called Mr. Brown the evening before and set up a time to tow my truck to the service station. He arrived the next morning exactly as scheduled, got all the information he needed from me and to make sure he could check the truck in when he arrived. When I got to the shop, he had already dropped off the truck and made sure he knew who was working on my vehicle. Very good price, given over the phone the day before. He accepts credit cards, too! I don't hope to need another tow any time soon, but if I do, I know who to call! Thank you, Mr. Brown! read more

Great service, and a very nice and patient guy. Rick was on his way to my mom's house to tow a car when she accidentally locked the keys in the car. I called Rick and he was very nice about it and told me to call him when the car was unlocked. About an hour later, I called him and he was able to quickly tow the car to my house. Rick was able to back it into my driveway and slide the car down the ramp under a carport with surgical precision. Regarding pricing, I also called one other Durham towing company for a quote and Reliable came in slightly lower, by about 5%. read more

Just had my car towed by Reliable Towing Service and I must say, this was THE BEST SERVICE I have had in a long time. Mr. Ricky Brown was friendly and professional. When I contacted him, he said he would be to my location in 30 minutes and he was Johnny-On-The Spot!! He took great care in loading up my car. He charged a reasonable rate. He accepts cards too!! He offered a receipt with me having to ask. I have no doubt that I will contact him again if I need a tow. I will also recommend him to my friends without hesitation. read more

Based on the other positive Yelp reviews here, I contacted Ricky @ Reliable to have my car towed from my office in Morrisville to the VW dealership in Durham. Rate was a very reasonable $85. (Another service had quoted me $100+). He showed up right when he said would and handled my car with care. I did feel better having my car up on the full flatbed, rather than having it drug around by its nose for 20+ miles. I hope I never need this service again anytime soon, but I'm glad to report that Reliable Towing is aptly named. read more

The name speak for itself, Reliable Towing Service. Mr. Brown help me and my family out by coming to help us when we were broke down on side of the road. We are from Alabama and were traveling to Virginia. I would recommend Reliable Towing Service to everyone. Mr. Brown helped us from the time we broke down to the next day, that is what I call a reliable, dedicate person that was very concern about us. God is good all the time. Me and my family THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR WHAT YOU DID FOR US! Thank you a thousand times! read more

Fantastic service! High praise for Ricky Brown. We needed to schedule a tow during specific hours owing to my son's class schedule. Called and was able to arrange same day service for a fair price. Ricky was right on time - even early to meet my son. He accepted a credit card for payment and took care of the after hours drop off at the repair shop. Ricky even texted us a picture of my son's car safely at the automotive repair shop. Ricky is a terrific guy - understanding and incredibly helpful. HIGHLY recommend!! read more

Excellent towing service! I found Reliable Towing Service via Yelp when my car stopped at a light and then wouldn't move again. Fred was extremely polite, helpful in deducing the possible problem, fast (he came within 15 minutes) and took me to a good repair place in a city I don't know well. He took excellent care of my car (full flatbed truck) and he made a bad situation much easier to handle. Reasonable price and easy to work with. 100% recommend Reliable Towing if you're in Durham and in need of a tow. read more

Best towing experience... EVER! Ricky is a gentleman: Professional, courteous, and friendly. He was helpful on the phone, arrived on time, and loaded my cherished, but broken, Mercedes Benz with "kid gloves." He took my paperwork, my keys, and promised to check the car in with the dealership. And to top it off, his quote was the lowest of the 3 top Yelp-rated businesses. Could not recommend more highly! read more

Not only reliable, but the owner is a very kind, pleasant and expert driver/operator. He negotiated our difficult driveway and deposited our car right in front of the garage through a maze of trees and stumps in the dark after rescuing me from being stranded 28 miles from home. He was very friendly, prompt and professional and his number is permanently added to my contacts. Highly recommended! read more
