Recently needed help from One Direct Towing...I locked my keys inside the car. Yes, I have AAA but the card was inside my purse, inside the car. I did have my phone, though, and was able to google and find One Direct Towing. I truly thought it would be a long wait but, happily, a tow truck arrived within 15 minutes of my call. Dennis, the gentleman who helped me, was lovely. As stupid as I felt for locking my keys in the car, Dennis was very kind and reassured me that this happened all the time. Well, based on what I'm reading if you NEED your car towed, they will show up. They do in fact show up without questions ( and answers): My friend is disabled and walks with a cane. She parks her car in an handicapped parking spot facing her apartment. Today she realized her car was missing- She assumed her handicap parking placard must have fell off. She contacted her apartment building complex and was told they could help by calling your towing company and explain the situation. She was charged $300 to pickup her car ( $200 for towing and $50/day for storage). The apartment complex was able to reduce it to $200. That's $200 for a 26min ( 2 way) towing ride. Of course only when we got there she was told you only accept cash otherwise you charge a $12 convenience fee. Great Service! I just needed a jump but they answered immediately, took payment over the phone and showed up in about 40 minutes. Liars. They towed my car in front of my own home. Sign said no street parking yet I was there TEMPORARILY while waiting for a guest to leave my home and get out of my driveway so I could park in my own driveway. Invoice states you got a call at 7:12pm that my vehicle was there. Lie #1. I have proof (that I sent you) that I wasn't even home until at least 8:16pm. You didn't care about that proof and still said I owed you $200 for being in front of MY home for maybe 20 minutes. Lie #2. Your invoice states "blocking people from getting out there driveways". FALSE!!! I was parked (once again) in front of my home which is an end unit townhome with a large grassy area next to us. I was TEMPORARILY parked in front of the grassy area not blocking anyone or anything. You took my vehicle with my children's car seats in them causing us a huge headache for us trying to get my vehicle back from your location. On a school night for my 6 year old plus my 2 year old needing to stay up until almost 11pm. I constantly see vehicles parked for hours or even overnight on our street with zero repercussions. So there's either a law or there isn't. It can't be subjective! I absolutely will be looking into small claims court. Oh and nice of you to ignore the car that has been in our neighborhood for MONTHS with a flat tire, facing the wrong direction, and has had a bright sticker on it stating it will be towed. read more

I was parked in a visitor spot while seeing a patient as a home health therapist in Cary. The total time I was in the visit was 30 minutes and my car was towed. The sign at the entry way said no unauthorized vehicles and my car was certainly not unauthorized. I explained the situation to the towing company and they refused to do anything to help me with the exorbitant fee of 250 dollars for the unreasonable towing of my car. I let them know the sign is misleading as it does not say "needs visitor pass" and not every homeowner had the cognition to let medical workers know about this. As a company I felt the towing company would show more compassion but they did not. I wish this world was kinder. read more

One Direct is the towing company for a townhouse community on Michigan Avenue in Cary, NC. I visit family there regularly. I am always careful to wait in my car until one of them brings the parking pass for my car and to leave it hanging clearly on the rear view mirror. Such was the case today. My car was parked with the pass for roughly 5 hours. I went to my car to get the pass and bring it back to the home, to hug and say a quick good night to my family and in that brief time One Direct towed my car. It was about 7:30pm, the parking spaces on the street were pretty empty and I was in the house for less than 15 minutes. When we called their office, because it happened so quickly we thought the tow truck might still be in the neighborhood, we were told the driver was in route to their facility and they would ask the driver to bring the car back. Apparently the driver refused and I had to go to their location and pay $250 in cash to get the car back. Had I waited until after 9pm the charge would have increased and I would be charged a storage fee. I did learn a lesson tonight; I heard of One Direct Towing for the first time and I learned the meaning of predatory towing. read more

Friday night at rush hour car tire has a blowout . Not a good scenario but they came as soon as possible. Driver was professional and kind in spite of my frustration. Took me to the Tire store and I was able to pick up my car Saturday morning. read more

My son's car died en route to Wilmington, and the tow driver was nothing short of professional, friendly and informative. We were grateful for the help. Downside was the fee seemed high, but it was okay considering the driver's demeanor. read more

I had a dead battery at the Wegman's in Cary off of Davis Drive around 7 o'clock one evening. I called a few towing companies to come and give me a jump but didn't get much of a response from any of them until I called this company. They were polite when the young lady answered the phone and said their drive would call me right back. He called within a couple of minutes and said he was on his way. He was their to help me in about 15 minutes when the others were all over an hour. I would use this company again in the future and I would highly recommend you give them a call first. Update: I ended up having my truck towed back to my house because it was not feesable to fix it right now. I told my husband to call these guys again. I sent him the number and made sure he called and had them tow us home. Even my husband was impressed at the reasonable rate and how efficient they were with my truck etc. We have a tricky steep driveway so the driver dropped the truck in the middle lane and backed my truck all the way down the driveway into one of the spots. Once again can't complain about the service the people all wonderful, caring professional people. Can't thank them enough. I'm certain I will need their services again in the near future and I will indeed use them. Thanks again for the great service. read more

They came right out to help me when my tire blew, got there quickly and were very professional and extremely helpful! It turns out I didn't need towing, my car wasn't as bad as I had thought but Travis stayed and changed my tire for me. He then was kind enough to follow me to the gas station to make sure it drove okay. He texted me when he was on his way and even after he was done and left to make sure everything was still ok. One Direct Towing was recommended to me by Precision Auto. I called them to request a tow and they said they would be there in about 40 minutes. It was way less time than that and the driver was extremely courteous and professional. Will use them again if needed. read more

These guys are amazing! Dispatch could be a little more polite but the gentleman who helped me yesterday was very professional and very nice. He got to me in a timely manner and he was kind enough to give me directions to the gas station( I wasn't familiar with the area). Even when I had accidentally passed up the gas station (he was headed there too) he called to redirect me! I felt like I was in such good hands. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! On Sat. 1/9/21, my husband and kids were in an accident (Thankfully they will all be ok)! His truck was totaled and along with his trailer, was towed from the accident site to @One Direct Towing (Requested by the State Trooper). From the beginning, the staff was rude!!! The receptionist initially denied us access to our personal belongings (keys, phones, bags) from the vehicle. Upon finally stating that we could access the vehicle, the "Manager" Andrew stated that we could pick up the trailer on the same day 1/9/21 (although the business was closed) because he would be on site until 11pm. When questioning the nearly $800 rate quoted to us, he became RUDE, BELLIGERENT and then denied us access. Deliberately adding an additional $35/day ($70) storage fee. To add fuel to the fire, Andrew thought that he hung up on me and in the back ground, we could hear him referring to us as "NIGGERS"! The entire staff was unprofessional and refused to break down the inflated costs! No one could intelligently articulate themselves or provide a break down of fees! Absurd and ridiculous read more

I was in Raleigh for business and leaving to head back home with a 4 hour drive ahead of me. With all the debris in the Raleigh highways, i apparently ran over something that cut the tire on my 2016 Camaro SS. Stuck on the side of 40 when it's almost 90 degrees is not a good situation. Nick with One Direct responded with a call to me to let me know when he'd arrive, showed up as predicted, used the utmost care in loading my baby up and then didn't just do a dump and run when we got to the incredibly unhelpful local Chevy dealer. Instead he waited to make sure they would have the tire, which they didn't, and then he and i located a Discount tire close by who did have exactly what i was needing. Never complained about having to go the extra couple of miles. A bad situation made so much better by Nick and One Direct Towing. I sincerely appreciate the quality service and care shown. read more
