It was empty when I got there, save for the attendant at the window. I just pulled up, swiped my gas card, and filled up. The beautiful thing about getting gas in the east coast is how inexpensive it is compared to gas prices in California. I can't really speak bad of this place, and I spent a very short time here. I'm giving it five stars for the convenience it provides.

Gas was decently priced but we mainly came here to try out their food options. My husband got a BLT Hoagie and I got a Chicken Wrap, Mac and Cheese, and Iced Vanilla Chai Latte. As someone from California, we were both surprised at how good "gas station food" can be but we were even more surprised at the prices and the tax when we paid! I especially enjoyed my Iced Vanilla Chai Latte because of how big the drink was for the price. It was also perfectly sweetened just the way I like it and wasn't filled with too much ice so I can just actually enjoy the drink. Overall, my husband and I would love to see a gas station and food stop like Wawa in California if they ever were to come to the West coast!

There are six electric charging stations on-site. A man was loitering by the ice storage box. He watched every car and nodded at me when I walked by. I didn't feel comfortable with him hanging around and scanning vehicles. Management needs to stay on top of this -- tell him to buy something or leave. No loitering. Inside, the property is clean and organized, but the parking lot needs attention. There's debris scattered around, and the pavement is gross dirty and needs hot steam to clean. It needs to be lifted up a bit with regular cleaning and maintenance.

Just had my first service appointment with this garage and will 100% be back as a return customer!…read moreIf you live near the park, the location (for both the garage and the attached gas station) is phenomenal. They do very good business so they're frequently booked up-- make an appointment if possible, they take preference over walk-ins. I called on a Wednesday morning to see when I could get in, and the earliest appointment they had was Friday. I needed an oil change, my tires inspected, and for them to check on an issue with my AC. You fill out a detailed service form inside the Shell station and the cashier, who is also a garage employee, takes care of it from there. When the mechanic called to give me his report, he followed my instructions to proceed with the oil change but get my permission for any other work needed. He told me my tires were in good condition (and didn't try to upsell me to make a buck). With the roads in Bmore being what they are, it would have been really easy to try that card (which some untrustworthy mechanics do more so with women), but this guy was honest with me and I respect that. He also said that my AC issue wasn't a problem that required any work and might just come and go, though harmless-- so again, saving me cash. The whole process was very efficient and reasonable priced, and the staff was friendly. I definitely recommend!

I said "hi" to get her to acknowledge me - no response. Once she was done stocking, she went behind the counter and stared at me without a word until I eventually told her that I was here to pick up my vehicle. Other than that, the service of the vehicle itself was fine and completed in a timely manner. I was updated by the mechanic throughout the way. As other reviewers mentioned, if you want to avoid high labor costs, I recommend checking out the local small business down the road.

My experience at this Royal Farms was pretty much an in and out visit. I stopped by for gas...well,…read morereally I had to pee. The gas prices were about the same as the few other places I saw. Unfortunately, like many gas stations, their display has the one cheaper price for cash payments, which changes once you select a card for payment. This location has plenty of pumps, so I don't think customers would have to wait to fill up their tanks. Regarding my bathroom experience, I thought it was clean for a gas station. All and all, a pretty ok experience.

Obviously I am comparing this to other service stations, not sit down restaurants, but you can't beat Royal Farms for grab and go food. The fried chicken is amazing in all forms. You can get fried chicken boxes, fried chicken sandwiches/subs, fried chicken breakfast items, etc. They also do a good job with deli meat sandwiches and egg breakfast sandwiches. Otherwise it's a pretty standard convenience store with the usual service station grab and go items. They have a good selection of chips and drinks. This particular location is very spacious and has everything you could expect on the shelves. As most Royal Farms in the area, it also has Krispy Kreme donuts that are stocked daily. The coffee is pretty good for a service station, and they have plenty of fountain drinks and iced drinks as well.

I could only see one employee and it was the guy working the register, with a hand written sign that said "Cash Only" in front of him....Which I found highly sus. Pretty sure the employee working the register is pocketing the cash....meanwhile when there's no one inside the employee proceeds to sit in his car and yells "cash only, no food available" to anyone about to go inside. I went back in to get a picture of the "Cash Only" sign and saw that there was a female employee behind the food station and asked if they were serving food now....the two employees looked at each other for a second and she replied "not until 3am".....it was 12:30am at the time, and as I said previously, there was already chicken and fries prepared. When the employee working the register (who was standing in the middle of the store talking to his coworker) saw me go up to the sign and take a picture he hurriedly started giving an explanation that the "credit card processor had been down since he came into work and he heard a bunch of places were having the same problem." So I proceeded to go to the Royal Farms half a mile away on Roland Avenue....who had no issue taking cards and was also serving food. Speaking of which, the whole reason I went into Royal Farms to begin with is because the new Crunchy Chicken Croissant is fire and I was craving one. Luckily I was able to get one at the second location and they also had the DIY milkshake machine there too, which the other location didn't have. Needless to say they need to fire the employees working late night at this location. I will be going to the Roland Ave Royal Farms from now on....unless I need gas. It's worth mentioning that this isn't the first time I've seen a handwritten sign that says "cash only" at this location when there is only one or two employees working. The other time it was the middle of the day, though...but I got the same sense that it was sus.

A man came up to me, on a heavily rainy day, asking for a gas can full of gas, claiming his car ran out of gas on North Avenue. I told him that I do not carry containers in my vehicle, and he should purchase his own container and gasoline. He then begged me for cash, which I do not give out. When I questioned him about the exact location of his allegedly out of gas vehicle, to ensure that he was telling the truth, he became very vague and ran off. I drove several blocks up and down North Avenue, and noticed not a single stalled car. Who begs for gasoline?
