Went to this location around midnight and the food was shut down even though there was chicken and fries sitting under the heat lamps at the food station. I could only see one employee and it was the guy working the register, with a hand written sign that said "Cash Only" in front of him....Which I found highly sus. Pretty sure the employee working the register is pocketing the cash....meanwhile when there's no one inside the employee proceeds to sit in his car and yells "cash only, no food available" to anyone about to go inside. I went back in to get a picture of the "Cash Only" sign and saw that there was a female employee behind the food station and asked if they were serving food now....the two employees looked at each other for a second and she replied "not until 3am".....it was 12:30am at the time, and as I said previously, there was already chicken and fries prepared. When the employee working the register (who was standing in the middle of the store talking to his coworker) saw me go up to the sign and take a picture he hurriedly started giving an explanation that the "credit card processor had been down since he came into work and he heard a bunch of places were having the same problem." So I proceeded to go to the Royal Farms half a mile away on Roland Avenue....who had no issue taking cards and was also serving food. Speaking of which, the whole reason I went into Royal Farms to begin with is because the new Crunchy Chicken Croissant is fire and I was craving one. Luckily I was able to get one at the second location and they also had the DIY milkshake machine there too, which the other location didn't have. Needless to say they need to fire the employees working late night at this location. I will be going to the Roland Ave Royal Farms from now on....unless I need gas. It's worth mentioning that this isn't the first time I've seen a handwritten sign that says "cash only" at this location when there is only one or two employees working. The other time it was the middle of the day, though...but I got the same sense that it was sus. read more

Hello, I'm sorry to have a negative review for this location, because I frequent it often. I usually only get fuel, but this time I decided to try some Famous Royal Farm Store Chicken. I do not usually buy food from a gas station, but this once I tried it. I ordered two of the spicy chicken strips for a fee of $4.99 (inc.Tax) and when I bit off my first bite the chicken had nice spice and breading, but it was extremely dry and the pieces were very small for the price. The customer service sucks. I bought my food and spoke very kind to everyone. My order was called and so I took the food that was handed to me. I am 3 months pregnant walked there and back to my job to find my sandwich was wrong. So I walked back. No problem because it's not too far. I told the woman kindly that my sandwich was incorrect. But the employee made it out to look like I took the wrong food myself. When I only took what she gave me. I won't be going back to this location. They need to get it together. read more

This is a horrible Royal Farms. I ordered my food and nobody was behind the counter. I waited and waited. Ten minutes had just gone by and I asked someone if there should be somebody behind the counter and they said I guess. So five more minutes roll by and someone finally comes out making my food. Then, people after me got their food before me and all I got was a hotdog. This place is slow and inconsiderate, do not go to this Royal Farms. - Just finished the hotdog and it sucked. 7 Eleven is better. read more

Location is tough to exit onto busy street. Gas prices are reasonable & competitive. The windshield wash by pumps is rarely available; today was bone dry so unable to clean my windshield. Exterior fairly clean. Inside, employees were courteous with prompt service. read more

I probably won't even take advantage of the fact that this RoFo has a gas station. If you venture in to get anything, you'll likely be disappointed. They usually don't have chicken, which is what they're known for. If you order something that needs to be heated, they might throw it in the oven for 15 seconds...so expect to have to heat it yourself when you get home. In the rare event that a cashier is actually at the register, she'll probably be on her cell phone, and won't say a single word to you. If at any of the retail places I've worked I got caught talking on my phone when I should be interacting with a customer, I'd be fired. Why is that not the case here? Do your self a favor and head over to the RoFo on Keswick. The staff will actually talk to you. read more

I'll give this place 2 stars because royal farms is actually awesome. Fried Chicken + Krispy Kreme donuts? Yes, please. The people who work at this particular RF are (mostly) awful though. I've never seen a smile from an employee. The lady who makes your food during the week can barely hide the contempt she feels about having to make your order. The cashiers are always gossiping & barely look at you. Don't expect to hear your total. They stare blankly at you when they want you to pay.
