It ended up being a good decision - it's a less traveled, beautiful road that cuts through Central Virginia. My wife and I needed to stop for gas, something to eat, and a good stretch. We stopped at Apple Market in Amherst. I filled up with gas and we went in to the store. The people were friendly and we ordered a Subway sandwich which was excellent! I even read the local paper which had the high school football schedule release in the sports section which was so interesting- people love their HS football! As soon as we got back on the road and moving towards the North Carolina border, we got a fraud alert message from our bank. Did you make a 120.00 purchase from Apple Market? - we answered no. We checked to see - 11.50 for a sandwich, 30 for gas and then 120.00... I'll never know how this happened... no one actually held my debit card.. but it was an unsettling experience... we did block the charge and eventually got our 120.00 back the bank is investigating.. it would be nice to eventually find out what exactly happened..

Also, it didn't hurt to make a pitstop inside. Gas prices were on average with other nearby stations in the area. Paying at pump was where to be. Inside I made quick usage of the facilities and wanted to grab myself some drinks for the remainder of the trip. I would have used the self checkouts but I needed items from behind the counter. The line went smoothly and the employees were pleasant to deal with. Overall a decent stop at a busy location.

I loved and appreciated the ease of selecting my coffee to be ground and brewed all from a few steps. The touchscreen screens were awesome! The coffee had a nice flavor! Really enjoyed my cup of Joe! I didn't get to look around much inside but I did notice their made to order slogan for their food. This is great for a convenience store. Hate I didn't have time to order any food during the time of my visit. The staff was nice. I am pretty sure that I will gas up here , get more coffee before hitting the road. But Allison was more than welcome to help us out and figure out not only who stole the food but since they had already left she insisted on remaking our orders!!
