I've held my tongue long enough on this issue. I have had wonderful experiences in the past with the ETS staff. But this experience was pure madness. They overcharged me on an already quoted price- then dropped the price after the mistake - then upped the price again. They did not bolt the seats in the Jeep. Installed wrong tires on my Tundra and I was told what do you want me to do about it by the owner who was the one who made mistake. On top of that obvious failure the mechanic installed the shocks wrong as to create damage to the control arms. No over sight. These guys are just plain bad at what they do. I brought my 2019 Ram 1500 w/air suspension into Extreme Truck Stuff (Jacksonville, FL) to have a 4" BDS lift kit installed in Feb 2021. Several months later I started having gradually worsening shaking while driving at highway speeds. I eventually noticed that the inner edges of my front tires (but not my rear tires) were completely worn down without tread, preventing even a tire rotation by a separate tire shop. I brought my truck back to Extreme Truck Stuff for a diagnosis and was told that both upper and lower ball joints on BOTH sides (4 total) needed to be replaced as well as both outer tie rods. This was extremely suspicious. The quote for repair was ~$2,500. My truck has ~55K miles, ~12K of those miles came after the lift kit was installed. When I asked "why would all those components go bad all at once?" all I got was a shoulder shrug. I then took my truck into another aftermarket truck shop who said the ball joints were NOT bad and that the driver side outer tie rod was the only tie rod that was bad (and barely at that). Their suspicion was that the alignment was not done properly on initial lift kit install. Although Extreme Truck Stuff gave an alignment report at said initial install, the 2nd shop's opinion was that the truck was not put into "alignment mode", which is necessary because of the air suspension. I then brought a mechanic acquaintance over and we both looked at the components ourselves. I saw with my own eyes that the ball joints were solid and that only the outer driver side tie rod was slightly bad. I called Extreme Truck Stuff and their only offer was to bring my truck back in for another diagnostic again but the first available appointment that would agree with my work schedule was over 2 weeks from then (even though this diagnosis takes literally 5 minutes). Their response was "well if we told you they were bad then they must be bad". I then brought up the possibility of human error in a non-accusatory way and Brandon scoffed at that idea saying "we do these all the time". In reality, human error is always a possibility no matter the profession but the key is owning up to it. He brushed this possibility off but could not provide an alternate explanation. I was stuck with waiting over 2 weeks for a diagnostic appointment driving on front tires that frankly feel unsafe because of their condition and the possibility of a blowout (I have since thankfully been able to borrow my in-laws' car to drive to work). I brought my truck back into the other aftermarket shop who replaced the front tires, re-aligned the truck and re-balanced all 4 tires and lo and behold, my truck is driving 100% smooth again! Final verdict: 1) Extreme Truck Stuff screwed up the initial install, costing me $1,600, 2) Extreme Truck Stuff did not own up to their mistake (and should've comped me 2 new front tires) and 3) Extreme Truck Stuff tried to weasel $2,500 out of me for unnecessary work. read more

Unsure why this review was removed so here is a re-post. 9/6/2019 Previous review Worst experience EVER! Spent countless of hours there after the lift was "supposedly" done. Amp steps didnt work after 2nd time of telling them upon picking the truck up, 1 day later went over speed bump and keylock washer hit front pumpkin cover, damaged it (installed wrong) and they never replaced it, something happened after they "fixed" that, alignment was way off. Pulled right and wobbled really bad, they replaced the tire, did exact same thing. Was told to go have it balanced (Roadforce) because they didnt have that technology. Had that done, nothing new, no change. After probably 6-8 hours combined on different days of waiting they were getting annoyed because the problem wasn't being solved and told me, "there was nothing we can do, its just the brand of tires you have". After many phone calls back and fourth they basically said, we did it right and your wrong. Brandon even had the nerve to tell me that the company who sells the tires came to his shop and rode in my truck to verify its not the tires and there is no shaking/wobbling. Yes, he actually thought someone would believe this, lol. So I asked for the name and number of said person, I was told that is confidential and he could not give out his business partners info. Knowing that he is lying, because anyone with half a brain could pick that apart, I decided to call the tire company. After talking with a few people, everyone I talked to said, "we don't even have a rep around that area and we also don't take joy rides in people's vehicles". Any normal person would know that, except for Brandon. After, yet again, calling back to the shop, I asked Brandon why he flat out lied (they claim to be a Christian business) to me and there was silence on the line. He had every excuse in the book and apparently did not have the knowledge or care to fix the truck beyond that point. I did try and contact the father after literally a month wait time (because he was in Europe or was he?) but could not get through because Brandon intercepted the calls and I was told by him that "the father doesn't handle this anymore", I would be ashamed if my son is claiming to be a good Christian and taking people's hard earned money for crappy labor in return while lying all the way to the bank, maybe the father is in on it, not sure to this day. I did have a shakedown performed and there were numerous problems, torque specs, washers non existent or in wrong area and here is the BONUS, drum roll.......the tire wobble ended up being the rim, which I asked probably over 20 times, are you sure its not the rim. They insisted it was the tires over and over and over. What I think happened was, after the truck was taken back because of the keylock washer and the wobbling, when they replaced the tire, it was ten times worse, i'm assuming they bent the rim. Long story short, it was the rim.....sad it took a customer to tell a "professional" shop about that. There is many more details to this story but I dont think it matters, only thing I care about is making sure no one else gets treated like this, everyone else was nice and professional, except Brandon and the father. I told this story to other shops while figuring out why this was so bad and I never told them the name of extreme truck stuff, everyone of them said "im guessing you are talking about extreme truck stuff", found that kind of funny. Either they are psychic or this bad work has been going on for quite a while. Anyway, its fixed now, at my expense and I hope to educate the next person that might be dropping 8-10k on a lift. Two faulty bull bars for my 4 Runner. First one covered with black tape on the 3 blow holes in the welding. Second one blow holes filled with wet silicone. Shady folks. I would not trust them to do anything. Consumers beware. Trying to hide their poor quality work. The first ones covered with tape (3 holes total In the welding). I was told it was to protect it during shipping by the manager, Brandon. Owner, Brock, told me it was double stick tape that "fell" there. Wowwww. Please share. St.Johns Bluff, Jacksonville, Florida...ps.... I called before going to have the replacement one installed and the manager insured me the welding was perfect. Perfect meaning "holes filled with silicone". I purchased an Undercover LUX Tonneau Cover and unfortunately one of the lift supports broke where it connects to the cover. It was less than 2 months old when I went back to meet with manager Brock Lee, not knowing what to expect, as I had no idea how/why the mechanism had failed. Brock took a look and said he would replace the cover under warranty. Four days later I had a replacement cover installed and was on my way. Didn't have the best experience with them as time went on. They are great for doing little things but they could never get my lift right. Depending on who was working on your truck, it was a hit or miss. I had to go back and fix a few things they didn't do correctly. I'm not going to get super into detail about my experience because it will be a novel but there are definitely better places out there. They didn't pay attention to detail like I wanted them too. If you called them out on it, which I did, they ALWAYS had an excuse and never apologized. Overall, they are good but they need a better customer service experience and more consistency. read more

These guys seem to do pretty good work. I had Blistein 5100's installed on my 2010 Tacoma and they look pretty nice. Deffinately noticed the ride difference. It's a Mom and Pop shop run by the family and their son Brandon. I worked with Brandon through the whole process. He was extremely patient and willing to help with whatever, whenever. I was going to get some off-road tire here too but found them somewhere else for cheaper. Again Mom and Pop gotta make money some how. lol read more

I had high hopes for this place, based on reviews here and from folks I know here in JAX. I was immediately bothered by the hours of operation, but their website says they give quotes and I thought that would save me the trouble of missing work. I called and let them know what I needed; ARB Deluxe bumper, IPFs, winch, and nerfs. Understandably, they asked if they could call back with prices but when they called back I was busy (again, at work) and asked for an email with the break-down. Instead of a break-down, I received a very generic description of the parts I asked for and the overall price. Naturally, I asked for a break-down (as before), with part numbers so I could also check reviews for the parts online. Nope. They kindly replied saying that I could come in and see the parts. That's great, except it completely defeats the purpose of getting a quote. Get with it folks, other companies have updated their websites to reflect prices, and those that haven't/can't have made sure you can get a proper quote. Simply put, any company that thinks their time and convenience comes first isn't getting my business. Putting model numbers and a price break-down into an email is an exceedingly simple task for which there is no excuse in not providing. I hope the folks at this store get their house in order and make sure that when a customer asks for something as reasonable as this, that she or whoever else understands how far that small amount of effort can help a business.
