I just drove down to Bondy's from Decatur, GA on MLK day to purchase a used car on their lot (and…read moredrove back that same night). Since I originally found the deal on autotrader.com, I had email contact with their customer service reps, Courtney and Anna. Both were helpful, and Anna went through the trouble of talking to the manager to get their final offer price with taxes included to tell me over the phone before I decided to drive down. Chris Prather was the salesman who helped me with the test drive and purchase. Professional, friendly, and knowledgable, he made the buying process very smooth. Because I traded in my old car, I had to wait a while for an appraisal to be done. Everything was done fairly, and out in the open. They go through a carfax report with you, as well as a kelley blue book report so that everyone is clear on where their offer price is and how/why it's relatively reasonable. Growing up in the 80's and 90's, going to car dealerships was always a pain because you felt like you were always being ripped off in one way or another because you couldn't see certain costs incorporated into the final price. It's so much better working with dealers like Bondy's. No nonsense, friendly, open, and relatively efficient. (I did end up spending about 4 hours there). The finance manager was even named Michael L.....same last name pronunciation, but different spelling. :-) If you're buying from out-of-state, make sure you bring your title and registration! :-)

They replaced a Light Truck (LT) tire with a regular one and now my 3/4 ton truck has one tire that is NOT a load range E tire. That new tire can only support 1700 lbs instead of 2700 lbs. I would like to believe the technicians know what load range means at a professional tire shop. So disappointed and done with Jim Whaley tire in Enterprise. My wife called me to tell me her car broke down when the serpentine belt snapped and her friend from work was bringing her a new belt from Autozone. I was stuck at work so I told her to get a tow to Evans automotive. I called Evans to let them know and asked him to also fit a new coolant reservoir which was in a box in the trunk (2 bolts and a hose clip). He called me later that day to tell me the work would cost $1,250. I said what?? He said $1250. I said $1,250 to put a fan belt on are you serious?? He said yes because the tensioner pulley is broken. (A $40 part) I said ok how much will it be without doing the coolant reservoir? He said $650. (So he was going to charge $600 to replace the plastic coolant container - a one bolt 2 minute job.) Of course I was stuck because my wife has already paid to have her car towed to his shop and she needed her car so I had to accept being totally ripped off and pay them $650 to put the fan belt on but that will never happen again because I will never recommend my wife or anyone get a tow to Evans Garage ever again.
